The *Pixie Dust* Power Couple take The Virgins to Disney!*RESORT CHANGE NEED OPINION*

Hey Everyone!

My Name is Mrs Z.

I am a former Disney Bride (Married in October of 2010 at Sea Breeze Point at the Boardwalk to the love of my life Mr Z.) I'm an avid Disney fan! (I don't even need a map to get around the parks that's how good I am) I recently did my first RunDisney event last November when I ran in my first ever 5K, Mickey's Jingle Jungle 5K to be exact! Mr Z and I are constantly looking for ways to experience Disney in new ways. I have lovingly named Mr Z and I The Pixie Dust Power Couple.

As with most power couples, we like to hang out with other couples our own age and with our same interests... enter Mr and Mrs D. We have done so many fun things with them. We always have a blast no mater what we do and we love being around them. Mr and Mrs D go to Daytona Beach every year with their family who have a timeshare right on the beach! Awesome right?! They always go in October... Funny, thats when we always go to Disney! We got to talking and since we already know we travel well together (we took an amazing trip to NYC together last month) Mr Z and I were invited down to their Daytona timeshare. After some more bottles of wine and more talking Mr Z and I discovered that Mr and Mrs D had NEVER EVER BEEN to Disney!!!

This is completely unacceptable! We needed to get them there... even if it was for a brief trip. The Pixie Dust Power Couple was able to convince Mr and Mrs D that they NEEDED to go... they agreed! (with minimal arm twisting) Mr and Mrs D are very family oriented. We discussed our plan to go to Disney with Mr D's parents since it would effect their time together at Daytona Beach. Not only were they ok with it, Mr D's mom, who is just the best lady you ever did meet, really wants to go! So we're going to be a party of 5!

So to recap here is our cast of characters:

My Husband, Mr Z and the other half of the Pixie Dust Power Couple
Mr and Mrs D The Virgin couple
And Mr D's amazing mom who we shall name Bdizzle

The Vacation Plan:

We wil head down the week before to spend some time at the Daytona Beach condo, then drive to Disney on Thursday the 10th of October and stay until Sunday the 13th.

Where we will stay:

Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge Villas. It is Mr Z and I's FAVORITE resort And I think that it will be that jaw dropping resort that Mr and Mrs D and Bdizzle will really love!

Things The Pixie Dust Power Couple are excited to show the Virgin Couple:

The resorts - because really there isn't anything better than a Disney resort
The Food and Wine Festival! - Seriously Mr Z and I planned out Disney wedding around it! As a party of 5 who are all adults I think we will have a BALL here!
The Parks - I am excited to see the theme parks through the eyes of friends who have never been

We have a ton of things to do to prepare! We have a lengthy google hang out chat between the Pixie Dust Power Couple, The Virgin couple, and Bdizzle this afternoon and we have logistics figured out for the most part. Mr Z and I always rent DVC points so we emailed our DVC member friend and now we wait!

I am curious to know if any of you have taken Disney virgins and/or if you have any suggestions on how to make the quick trip there with them memorable and fun! I'm so excited to start the planning process and sharing our experience!

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!

Hope you all had a safe and fun time last night! Mr Z and I spent a wonderful night in with Mr and Mrs D watching the ball drop and enjoying some much needed laughs. It was a great way to ring in 2013!

During our mini New Years Eve party we were talking about Disney again. Mrs D is concerned she won't like the AKL Villas... Maybe its just me but I LOVE the AKL Villas. Obviously since Mr and Mrs D have never been I want to make sure they do everything they want to do so I told them I would get them the pricing for all of the Villa resorts. This morning I put together a list of all the villa resorts, and added some pictures of the resorts in there! I love planning and looking at all the resorts so I didn't mind the chore And let's face it... I would love to stay at any of the villa resorts!

They are looking through the proposal I wrote up now but I know that Mr D was looking forward to AKL Villas and given the price point they want to stay in, I think that's where we will stay but what should I tell Mrs D about the resort that will make her believe me that its amazing? The pictures and youtube walk through tours just don't do it justice I think. What would you tell a Disney Virgin to help them understand that the theming of the resorts are what make them fantastic?

Anyway lets do the obligatory resolution/goals for the new year! I'm hoping to continue running more and working on living more of a healthy life style. (notice I won't say diet... saying diet = instant failure ) I did my first 5K in Disney last year and this year I'm hoping to do the Color Run 5K when they are here in New England and doing the DARE 5K at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway in 2013. I'm also hoping to travel more and see more place, like Daytona Beach!

Hey everyone! Happy Friday!!

Not too much to report other than we changed our resort! Originally we were going to stay at the AKL Villas. It is the pixie dust power couples favorite place! We really thought that the heavy theming and the uniqueness of it would make a great impression on Mr and Mrs D. Mr D seemed very into it however Mrs D was alittle concerned with the animals and being the more conservative out of the group was kind of wanting something alittle less themed and alittle more upscale. I personally think she is crazy but this is her first trip so I want her to be able to make the decisions.

On top of the whole not loving AKL thing, I found out that there are no more value rooms available. We scrapped the whole thing and decided to regroup when something occurred to me! Bdizzle won't have a bed unless we stay at OKW! OKW is the only villa resort that has the two beds in a studio. All of the other villa studios only has one bed and one pull out couch. We looked at the points chart and decided that it would best financially and for Bdizzles comfort to stay there.

I'm not terribly upset about not staying at AKL. I haven't stayed at OKW since 2005 and even then it was only for 1 night. Any of you have anything to share about OKW? It does look so relaxing there!

Well I'm off to bed, Had a rough week at work and definitely need some rest!

Happy Saturday everyone!!!

Sorry I haven't posted, I've been super busy with work and the house

I just received my confirmation email that we are 100% booked for OKW! I am super super super excited! Mr and Mrs D are excited but very concerned lol. I know they will love it in WDW but I wish I could get them to understand before we go that they will love it!

Over the next few weeks I am going to start sending them pictures of things we can do for fun, like the food and wine festival information or all the pretty bars we can go to! (Do you see a pattern here? ) Anyone have any suggestions for ways to get adult couples without kids excited??

So I'm sitting here this morning and it hit me BAM-- I haven't seen you around in forever so I decided to find out what you're up to. Look at you, planning trips for people! I must say I am impressed.

I hope all is well with you and Mr Z.
Looks like you've been busy! Congrats on the 5K!!!!

I've never stayed at OKW but it looks really nice. I hope your planning goes well and the newbies love Disney as much as you!
