I'm sorry this happened, and it really irks me. There are some CM's who are a little less tactful than others, or that feel the magic doesn't apply when speaking with adults. While it may be a bit more mature of a magical discussion, it's not for the CM to decide whether or not your celebration has expired. I've had "less magical" discussions with CM's as a guest, including some adult chuckles, but that comment was out of line, out of character, and accusatory.

Besides, "the perks" are mostly CM's asking you about your celebration button and wishing you well. There is no guarantee that you will get hit by a magical moment because of a button.

As for ITTBAB, I was more offended when I was "stung".
