Nikki chose this name for our Trip Report - thank you
Sunday 15 February
Wed had quite a good nights sleep and set off at about 6.45, getting to St Pancras at 7.30. We printed out tickets and passed through passport control to wait where the Oompah band was playing. The journey passed by smoothly, with us playing each other on various DS games or reading for a while.
Notice the Hat is going back to Disney for its 5th birthday.
Exactly on time we reached Marne La Vallee, bought 2 bottles of water at the station and passed out into the lovely sunny day at Disney.
We walked through the Village to HNY
and were pleased to find our room was ready, although it was only 1 oclock. We were on the 5th floor overlooking the car park, with a glimpse of Space Mountain and the Castle (if you cricked your neck a bit!) We dumped our bags and went back to the Village as we were booked for lunch at the Steakhouse. We had a nice meal here
met a couple of characters
and then went for a look around the shops in the Village as I needed a new purse. Dtr got a nice t-shirt which was reduced to 5 Euro. This was NOT to be our last shopping trip.
Back at the hotel we had a short rest before heading back downstairs. We saw Goofy and Pluto in the lobby of the hotel.
Goofy had changed his clothes since we saw him at the Steakhouse
We worked out we had time for just one ride in the Park before we had to go to Buffalo Bills. We like to make our first ride POTC if we can. The Parade was just starting just as we got in there, so we had to go down the Liberty Arcade to avoid the crush. We then bore left to take the short cut that runs alongside Frontierland.
POTC was showing 30 minutes, which wasnt too bad but we decided not to risk being late for BBWWS. We went back through Fantasyland and thought that Snow White wasnt running as we passed, but realised it was running but only 3 people were waiting - mid afternoon on a Sunday! So that became our first ride of the trip. As we came out we noticed Pinocchio was also very quiet so nipped on there. The Parade must have just finished as suddenly the queue filled up behind us.
As we walked down to Town Square, who should I see but Small World. We stopped to say hi then I climbed the stairs to the Station to take my now-traditional photo shot.
Central Plaza looks a bit different from when we there at Christmas
It was time now for BB - we really enjoyed ourselves and are so glad we listened to its fans on here.
I only realised after a while that the other children in our row had a different meal to Dtr - they must have assumed she was an adult. Anyway, our team won - YEEHAH, COME ON YOU GREENS - and we came out with 50 minutes left of Park time.
I was really yearning for POTC by this time so we went there and then went to BTM for Dtr to have a ride in the dark. She also got her favourite seat (the back one). It was time to leave, although we did stop for a couple of minutes to watch the spooky lights appear in the windows of Phantom Manor..
As we got to Town Square, who should we see running and skipping across the Square holding hands? No, it wasnt Small World - it was Peter Pan and Wendy.
Don't you just love the cowboy hats?
Hooray for self-timers
When we got back to the Hotel, we unpacked then went down to the bar for a cocktail each. Dtr didnt really like hers (very fizzy and unbearably sweet bubble gum flavoured) but it was nice to sit and recap on the day before heading off to bed.
Tomorrow: we spend time in the Studios, Dtr attempts all the thrill rides and I see a rat!
