Sorry for the delay and happy new year everyone!! So much going on at home that I have slowed down with this a bit, but Im back!!
If you remember when I last updated we had stayed overnight at Universal to get early entry in to the WWOHP due to a series of disasters which I shall save for another day we didnt get our early entry grrrr!!! We also didnt get breakfast! So by the time it was about 10am we were starving . . . well what finer breakfast than a mug of creamy butterbeer, and a glass of frozen butterbeer?!
Butterbeer drink
Frozen butterbeer
Cheers!!
These were DIVINE!!! Words cannot express how lush they were! The frozen butterbeer is a really creamy, rich icecream. The drink was wonderful and I dont have enough words to describe how delish the bubbly, creamy top is, that magically reforms itself everytime you drink it!!! I loved both of these the icecream was probably slightly better (read: creamier!) flavor, but it doesnt have the creamy top so if I had to choose a favourite I would probably choose the drink in fact I did! I had another one on my way out of the park a couple of hours later!!!! SO good!! 10/10
I will whizz through lunch quickly as its not park related we went to one of our old favourites Buffalo Wild Wings on I-Drive. We had a portion of wings with honey BBQ sauce on them these were excellent not fatty, and plenty of meat on them. We had a portion of sliders (which were a little on the dry side) which were a whole meal in themselves as they came with fries as well. We also had nachos which Tony loved but I didnt because they came with that cursed fake cheese!!! We had the best service here a really lovely waitress, and we sat outside in the shade such a pleasant hour! 8/10!
AS we didnt have dessert in BWW we decided to treat ourselves to a Ghiredellis on the way back to the hotel. We shared a Strike It Rich (Butterscotch Hot Fudge Sundae - butter pecan ice cream with butterscotch and golden almond nuggets under a layer of vanilla ice cream, hot fudge, whipped cream, chopped almonds and a cherry).
Now, I really love this one, its rich, sweet and huge and you get soooooo much sauce!! Tony on the other hand said it tasted just like the butterbeer and he had had enough of that today already!! Ha ha!!!! It does taste a bit like that, and it had been a bit of a me day (he doesnt like Harry Potter). So I ate most of it myself!!!!!!!!!! Superbly good! 9/10!
Dinner was a new one for us Via Napoli at Epcot. We were really looking forward to this. We arrived dead on time and were seated within a few minutes. The person seating us was very unfriendly, and service through the evening wasnt great to be honest quite slow and inattentive.
We decided to share two pizzas the Pepperoni (spicy pepperoni, tomato, mozzarella) and the Quattro Formaggi (mozzarella, parmesan, fontina, provolone). The cheese pizza was a white pizza (no tomato sauce) Id had my first ever one of these in New York the week before and fell in love with it (Im not big on tomato sauce!) so couldnt wait!!
Cheese
Pepperoni
The cheese one was really good very light base, and loads of cheese. I give this 9/10 and Tony gives it 8/10. The pepperoni one was also good, though the base was a little eon the soggy side we both give this 7/10. Definitely the best pizza in Disney (doesnt have much competition to be honest!!!) and I would definitely have the cheese one again!
Dessert I didnt really fancy any of the options to be honest in the end I ordered the Zeppole di Catarina (ricotta cheese fritters with whipped cream and chocolate sauce). These were really tasteless and I left half of them.
Tony ordered the Coppa Di Brutti Ma Buoni (Amarena cherry and vanilla gelato sundae with cookies) which he thought was very average - not bad but nothing special.
Then we were brought out an anniversary dessert:-
Not sure what exactly it is, but again it was really bland! Desserts definitely not a hit with us here!!! I give the night 7/10 pizza good, but get dessert around World Showcase somewhere!
Up next Cinabbon, Earl of Sandwich, Starring Rolls, and Boma.
