The 'patient' wait for December Free Dining begins...

I have spent months playing around with dates, length of stay, different hotel options, pricing out and saving numerous vacation packages, planning my ADR's etc. Besides that, I have been stalking The DIS board and the Disney site for Free Dining, as well as relentlessly checking my email for a magical Free Dining pin.

Last week I finally booked our vacation package and got to make our ADRs. Now there is nothing left for me to do but WAIT

The thought of having to wait until at least end of July/beginning of August for a chance of Free Dining to be offered might be the ultimate lesson/test in learning patience

This is going to be a LONG summer, but it'll be all worth it IF Free Dining is offered for my dates

Anybody else bored and waiting?

I'm not so patiently waiting as well. Between waiting for a free dining discount, and waiting for the Epcot dining reservations for Garden Grill and Coral Reef to be released AND waiting for info on the Fantasyland Expansion I'm pretty much going insane.

I am not so patiently, agitated & waiting as well.

ADRs done, package booked, besides FD, all I'm waiting for is to book air. & I'm not doing that until a GP offer comes along because I'm worried about my dates.

My biggest hope right now, is that it comes out before August 3! We'll be on a plane that morning headed to AL & I won't be able to sit on the phone to add it like I did last year!

I'm trying to be patient. I also can't book airfare yet b/c I am worried about my Dec. 8-14th dates. I plan on switching to Dec. 10-16 if I have to.

I also will have to probably cancel my CRT dinner reservations for Dec. I put the $386 on credit card to buy myself some time, but if FD doesn't come out b/f I have to pay the credit card, I will cancel...just can't see spending that much for a dinner for 6 of us...unless it was free.

I will join you, although I am looking for end of October FD, which I guess is the same, as they will probably be released at the same time. I booked, made my ADR's over a month ago.......this is KILLING me- I am NOT a patient person. We go EVERY year, sometimes twice, and we have NEVER got a pin. UHHHHHHH

We have been booked since feb. ads are all made but if free dining comes a few will need to be changed. Trying to decide if we should keep our original dates of dec 8-15 or change to dec 10-17

if you want the DP for your whole stay, Id change it, if not, you might have to do a split stay from 8-9 then 10th on.... if you can switch do it now

If it makes US residents feel any better, us international guests apparently never get PINS anyway! So we HAVE to wait for a GP offer otherwise we don't get it. I'm slightly (read: obscenely) jealous of the FD Pin people!!!

I too just sit, watch, hope, and pray for any kind of sicount or free dining.....I will will be putting in our ADRs on monday(bright and early) hoping to get what we are wanting and checking to see how many and how much it will run....I think waiting for a PIN is like waiting for xmas....literally, since we will be ther for xmas!
the last trip we took 2 xmas' ago there was a pin for free dining but we opted for the room discount.....i now think that free dining is great, if only the disney god of PINs would give me one! well the trip is paid so I guess I just sit and wait and save our pennies for all the extras we have come to love!

Ouch, that is a long time to be waiting! I've been waiting since about April of this year and that seems like an eternity, so I can't even imagine...lol
