Has anyone tried these since they've been out?

I have tried both. If you drink the coke when it's ice cold, you can get a hint of the cookie flavor at first and then it just turns into coke zero. The cookies, you cant really taste the coke flavor.

I had a cookie this past weekend. I think there was some Coke flavor, but I didn't like the pop-rocks in the cream. I wouldn't really buy them for myself. I have not tried the soda. We have definitely reached come kind of snack food singularity with these though!

We've bought both, but haven't tried the cookies yet. I agree about the soda. You get a hint of Oreo, but it's not overpowering.

I see products like this on the dis (haven't seen it anywhere else but I don't buy Coke or Oreos any more) and just think -why? Who comes up with these and thinks there is much of a market?

I only tried the coke room temperature (off the Walmart shelf). There definitely wasn't much Oreo flavor, It was mostly Coke with a hint of cookie on the back end.

My 7-11 has the oreo coke flavor as a slurpee so I took a taste of it and didn't like it. It tasted like a coke float but made with cookies and cream ice cream instead of vanilla, the fake sugar also made it weirdly sweet. I will be sticking to my coca cola classic slurpees instead.

I've seen them in Target here, but not tried them. I didn't realize it was actually flavoured, I thought it was just some kind of anniversary special packaging.

When I comes to Coke floats, I have to make them at home, because I MUCH prefer them with chocolate ice cream than vanilla. (I don't like cookies & creme ice cream at all, FWIW)

Based on the number of people that I know who have bought them, there is quite the market!

Thanks for the heads up. I hadn’t heard about these.

DH said the Oreo Coke Zero was the best of all of the "special" flavors. Once he found out about the cookies he had to buy some this weekend...the package is still pretty full, so I guess DH & the kids weren't impressed.

There have been very few of these special edition Oreos we actually liked.

Potato chips do this often too. Imho companies should only release if it’s both interesting AND the flavor works. Not just because it sounds interesting. Annoying! Like last year Lay’s had Philly Tomato Pie chips which sounded interesting and a bunch of us tried - nobody liked them, not even a little. Why bother? Dill Pickle and Ketchup… sounds interesting AND the taste is commonly liked, not just one random dude out of 100 and the other 99 toss in the bin.

Oreo has already come out with over 85 varieties

I remember trying the Peeps, Caramel Apple and Carrot Cake. The first two had inedible chemical flavor. Around then we decided to stop trying because after everyone ate one or two, they’d waste cabinet space until stale and then into garbage. Are sales good enough to justify losing credibility? Hot Wings sounds interesting. Doubt anyone liked them though. Market something cool and worthwhile then I’ll be impressed. Keep the losers off the grocery shelf please.

I am not an Oreo fan, but I tried the soda. It definitely needs to be chilled, but I was pleasantly surprised. It tastes like Coke as it’s going down, but it has an Oreo finish/aftertaste. It was kind of neat.

I actually liked the cookies. I took small bites so I could enjoy the pop rocks. They kind of popped in the back of your mouth. The soda I didn’t care for. My boys like both the cookies and soda.

I saw the Oreo flavored Coke Zero the other day at the store, and I was very tempted to buy it. It was just bothering me they wanted like $2.39 for a 20 oz bottle and I could get a 2 liter of plain for less.

I really wish they would bring back the Starlight flavor.

The big packages are way too expensive for a thing that will probably end up in the trash, I suppose I might try if they had small size packages to try like they do with Lays potato chips, and I love sampling those but it's like $1 to try spaghetti and meatballs chips. I'd definitely buy if they had a big mashup pack of flavors in a package for Halloween treats but as it is I don't. Cookies are pricey.

We tried the Oreo Coke Zero this last weekend and LOVED it. It is like Vanilla Coke with just a hit of Oreo on the end. Nice sweet treat.

Have not heard about the Oreos, though. We usually spring for a pack of any limited edition ones - just to say we tried them.

Well, it gets people talking about it at least. :scratchin

I like Coke and I like Oreos, but not really interested in either of these products. Plus I don't like it when they come out with a "new" flavor of Coke and then only make it in the fake sugar version. I hate ALL sugar 'substitute' sodas no matter how much I want to like them.

The Space Oreos also had (have? are they still around?) Pop Rocks in them.

Most of the flavors are meh, but I LOVE the Cuban sandwich Lays. They were a limited time thing last summer, then they brought them back this summer. So good.

I didn't seek them out at all (haven't tried any of the other weird Coke flavors), but these were on sale on an endcap at the grocery store and I bought it on impulse.
