is no longer being made. It's part of the Sonic Action Figures (E-102 Gamma), it's a robot. The company that made the figures went bankrupt. If I get it for DS, I have no choice, but to try to get one from eBay. The problem is that this plastic thing ,which is probably no more than 4" (maybe smaller), is going for almost $30!!!!!!!!! I really don't want to spend that much, but he really wants it. :(

As Christmas gets closer, I'm sure it will be even higher. ,

Rita, I'm having flashbacks of 2 years ago when my son HAD to some some Metal Gear Solid action figures. Couldn't find them anywhere.....e-bay to the rescue!

Wishing you good luck and a great price!!

I have the same problem, my 19 yr old wants the Goonies soundtrack - they no longer make it.

My 9 yr old son for the second year in a row wants the Edwin Starr cd from 1970 with the song War on it. I was hoping he would give it up!

Well, I'm glad I'm not alone.

I have this mental picture... There is a guy sitting at his computer listing these Sonic action figures for auction on eBay. As he takes out ONE figure from a closet (that is packed full of them), he just laughs hysterically!!!!!!!! I'm going to be one of the idiots that bids $30+ to make my son happy and that guy rich!:p

eBay, here I come.....

And I opened this thread expecting some comment about ZipZaps.

bumcat - There are plenty of Edwin Starr CD's out there with the song "War" on them. The CD entitled "War" is only $7 at cdnow. There are currently three Goonies soundtracks on ebay right now if you are interested, but only one of them is a CD.

Good luck with your shopping everyone.

Thanks Towncrier! I've never heard of cdnow. I'll check it out. I tried regular stores including Best Buy and they didn't have it (war). I checked ebay out a few weeks ago for the Goonies cd but only saw the japanese version for sell, I'll check it again. Thanks

Good luck with your search! EBay does get worse as Christmas gets closer, so you may as well look now. But isn't it nice to have as an alternative?:D
Robin M.

There is only one of those robots up for auction right now. I guess it's even more rare than I thought. It's nice that there is an alternative though.

TC~ LOL! I "casually" asked my boys what they thought of those ZipZaps and they don't seem to be interested. Go figure! They'll probably want them when they are no longer being made!;) ;) :p

Hmmm. . .just because a child wants something does NOT mean that you have to get it for them. A simple explanation that they don't make them anymore should suffice.

I wanted a live monkey when I was a child and asked year after year for one. My parents wisely just ignored my request.

Peggy~ LOL! I think there is a difference between a monkey and a plastic toy.;)

I hustled this year-I have the zip-zaps, the spiderman web blasters, the spiderman electronic pinball machine.
All three were "Impossible to get".
I have them and two of them were on sale.
I got the Abercrombie pants for my nephew, the exact jewelry
my neice wanted and game cards for GameWorks for the rest
of the "kids". I have all my stocking stuffers and only a few
small gifts to secure. Don't be giving me the :p face...
I wanted to enjoy Christmas this year in a very relaxed and
joyous way. So, I'm finishing my shopping before everyone
else gets started. This morning, I was the only one in
Restoration Hardware($187) and Abercrombie and Fitch.
Last year, I stood in a line at Abercrombie that went out
the door. I'm taking my God daughter out for dinner
for Christmas as spending time is a rare thing for
us since she's 16; I'll hand her some cash as we
leave for her real gift. Still have my MIL to buy for
but she's easy-I see millions of things she'd like everywhere.
DH and I are getting a new computer for each other this
Christmas. Two years ago, I used Ebay with great success.
I hear it's loads more competitive these days.
Good luck everybody. This shopping early thing is really
wonderful!
