The one reason I was excited to come home! The food report! Lots of pics!!!

What an adorable family you have. Happy belated Birthday. I celebrated my 40 th at the world a couple of years ago. I can't think of a better place to celebrate!! Looking forward to more awesome pics and reviews.

Thank you!! After spending my 30th bday there, I never want to spend it anywhere else! :goodvibes

I'm in! This one looks like fun!:thumbsup2

Welcome!!!

Keep em coming. I also loved the Coral Reef, we ate there last week. I am so thankful for these reviews it helps when picking out restaurants when you know what the food looks and tastes like.

I loved looking at reviews before we went, too. It helped me decide where I wanted to eat and gave me a few ideas I never would have known about before.

I'm in. Looking forward to more. :)

Welcome!

Great review so far. :goodvibes Your Gianna is beautiful. :)

What is in the octopus juice, it looks like something I'll have to try in December. :goodvibes

Thank you! She is our little princess! princess: The octopus juice was a pina colada with something else in it and I cannot remember for the life of me - but if you like pina colada's - you will love this!

OOPS, my bad...I will have to make sure to read both of them...

We really enjoy Coral Reef as well. We are skipping it this time to take our daughters to Akerhaus for dinner and lunch will be at LeCellier (to try some new things). But I know I am going to miss CR.

We had lunch at Le Cellier this time - another one we had to try after reading the DIS!

Gianna is adorable!

Enjoying your reviews - looking forward to more!!:hippie:

Thank you very much!

I'm in. popcorn::
And your daughter is precious.

Thank you. She loves to pose for the camera already, so I have so many pictures of her from this trip!

Your posts are wonderful! Can't wait to read more!!!popcorn:: popcorn:: popcorn::

Thank you and welcome!!!

On our second day we headed over to DHS and decided to grab a quick breakfast at Starring Rolls Bakery.

Gianna decided she was happy with her Cherrios

Disney2008046.jpg

I went with the chocolate croissant

Disney2008032.jpg

It looked so good, but it was actually kind of stale. I didnt eat much of it. I am sure it would have been great if I had gotten a fresher one.

Matthew got some kind of cherry tunrover

Disney2008041.jpg

He loved it and ate every bit of it

And as we were checking out, a nice CM handed me a bag and said it was for the baby

Disney2008042.jpg

Isnt that cute? And very sweet of her! It was a little too hard for Gianna, but we nibbled on it for the rest of the day!

It was a hot day at DHS, and we decided to have our first of many frozen lemonade's.

I do not have a picture of it, but they were pink and frosty and wonderul. They really cooled us off on those hot days.

Gianna loved them, too. We got her a cup and poured some in.

Disney2008079.jpg

If you are hot, drink a frozen lemonade!!! I think I probaby had 5 of them!

Waiting for more...

The Coral Reef is our families FAVORITE rest. ever as well. We always made ADR's there for every trip but always ended up canceling them because I don't like seafood. Finally on our last trip we keep the ADR and we had to make another one for the next day. We love the place!!! Best meal we had the whole trip.

So far so good....bring it on!!

Thanks!! More is on the way!

It really was the best meal we had the whole trip and we ate at some pretty good places. I dont imagine we will ever go back there and not eat at CR!

After a hot morning at DHS, we head back to POP to let Gianna nap and grab some lunch at Everything POP! Food Court. They really have a great selection at Everything POP! I wanted a flatbread, but they all had meat on them, so I went with a soy burger and fries and the famous tye-dyed cheesecake for dessert. And of course a frozen coke!!!

Disney2008083.jpg

Now, I have eaten a lot of soy burgers in my life and let me say this is one of the BEST ones I have ever had! It was cooked prefectly. And I know a lot of you are probably thinking - soy burger - eek :scared: - but they really are good. Gianna loves these, too.

And then onto the tye-dyed cheescake

Disney2008084.jpg

Warning!! This will turn your mouth completely blue! Or at least Matthew's did. Matthew soon found that out. :rotfl: Mine was more yellow, so it wasnt as bad! This was a really goos cheesecake. It is not something I would normally get, but I had to try it. And it was rich and creamy with a red velvet cake at the bottom.

Overall, we really liked Everything POP Food Court and ate there again for lunch. I really like that you can get a frozen coke as your drink there. Those were also wonderful on those hot days.

That evening we had ADR's for Crystal Palace. I had heard lots of good stuff about it here, even though I was a little aprehensive about it. I wanted to to 1 character meal, so we decided to give it a try.

I am not sure why I dont have any pictures of the food here, but probably because we were too bust snapping pictures of G getting excited about the characters.

The food here was pretty good. They had a really good selection - I really like the corn spoonbread. Overall the atmosphere was great, we had a great server and G loved the characters. I probably wouldnt do dinner here again, but maybe try breakfast next time.

The next morning we went to Animal Kingdom and grabbed a quick breakfast. I cannot remember where it was, so this review wont help anyone out - but they had normal breakfast food and everything was yummy.

The afternoon after a long hot morning, we decided to try Yak and Yeti for lunch. This place was insane and had a very long line for CS, but we were hungry, so I stood in line.

I ended up getting the shrimp lo mein and this picture does not do it justice. It was really good, and we could hear people all around us saying how good of a CS place this was.

Disney2008176.jpg

We would definitely go back here again. Next time I would like to try to TS though.

That evening we went back to DHS and had ADR's at Mama Melrose. This place was crazy because it was raining outside and everyone was trying to get in to sit down, dry off and eat.

We were seated pretty quickly and I was really looking forward to this meal.

We got a couple of appetizers to start...

My mom got the Ceasar Salad

Disney2008178.jpg

Great presentation and she said it was really good and fresh.

Matthew and I ordered the Artisan Breads and Spreads

Disney2008179.jpg

Again, beautiful presentation. We thought it was really good, too. I liked all the spreads and the roasted garlic I could eat with a spoon! Very yummy!

For our main course, I ordered the Wood Grilled Shrimp with peas, roasted peppers in a basil cheese sauce

Disney2008182.jpg

I was really disappointed in this. The pasta was really Al Dente, which is not my favorite, but I could have eaten. The shrimp were really overcooked and tough and chewy. I was kind of picking around them and Matthew asked to try one and he agreed with me. Not the best meal I had had.

Matthew ordered the Charred Butcher Tender Steak on roasted red pepper polenta, grilled asparagus and red wine reduction.

Disney2008181.jpg

He loved it. Said it was great and ate every bit of it.

Mimi had Penne Alla Vodka with pancetta and sweet onion, finished with tomato basil sauce, cream, vodka and pecorino romano

Disney2008180.jpg

She also really liked hers - but these are BIG portions. She couldnt even eat half of it. You could totally share the pasta dishes.

Now onto the best part of the meal....the desserts!

My mom and I chose the Crema Limone - a no sugar added lemon custard topped with fresh whipped cream and berries

This picture didnt turn out too well

Disney2008196.jpg

This was heaven. SOOOO GOOD!!! The custard was so creamy and lemony and delicious! I could have eaten this all day.

Matthew got the Tiramisu

Disney2008194.jpg

This was very good also. Very rich - almost too rich for Matthew, but he did his best to eat it all!

And then while we were having desserts, they brought me out another dessert for my birthday!

The Honey Hazelnut and Ricotta Cheesecake

Disney2008195.jpg

This was incredible. So rich and creamy - just perfect. We couldnt eat much since we already had dessert, but we tasted it and Matthew said it was his favorite dessert by far.

Overall, this was a good meal for everyone but me. I didnt care for mine, but I think if I would have ordered something else, I would have enjoyed it. The desserts were great though! I still give it a thumbs up.

You have a beautiful family. Thanks for the reviews!

The next day, we just kind of ate arounf Epcot. A little here....a little there...
I finally made it over to Kringla to try to infamous School Bread. I was so excited about this. I knew they were large, but I had no idea how big they actually were! My mom, Matthew and I all shared one! And let me tell you - it was perfect!!

I am not even a big fan of coconut, but the toasted coconut on this was delish!

WDW_0274.jpg

I could eat this all day. The cream was sweet and perfect and the bread was freash. Everything about this was great.
