This does not sound like pie......looks like we are talking about a warm little circle of heaven topped with ice cream. Maybe guild the lily with some whipped cream? ;) I think I am going to try this little gem this weekend. Thank you for sharing.

I got this recipe from my sister last Thanksgiving. My 8 year old daughter informed me that she was making the pies for Thanksgiving. I wanted a pie that she would be able to make and not ruin. It was so yummy! I'm not really an ice cream person, so the whipped cream sounds perfect to me!

This is so odd!! I made this exact pie yesterday to take to a get together. It is awesome!! The best way to describe it is it taste like the middle of a chocolate chip cookie that's not quite done :)

It's the best, isn't it? Talk about your ultimate comfort food!!!!!

My husband's b-day is this week and this is what he wanted. So he will get it served warm w/ some vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce on top. BTS!!! (If you want to know what that means, I will PM you)

If you think you know, then you probably do. It's Better Than... :):rolleyes1

We just had cheeseburgers, buttered noodles (for DS who is not a carnivore), and broccoli. It was too nice outside to spend a lot of time cooking.

I'll admit it, my curiosity is killing me! Can you include me?

ETA: I just figured it out. I guess I'm a little slow in the AM :confused3

I wish I never saw that Derby Pie recipe (and description, lol) because now that is all I want- still warm . . .

I'm still trying to be "good" before I leave on vacation, though.

For dinner tonight, I am making Lindsay's Ritz Parm chicken- with low fat Ritz and light butter with some thyme like Lindsay suggested. We've got some fresh growing here, so I like to use it while I can.

I will be serving it with baked sweet potatoes, steamed green beans and a salad. Tomatoes are finally turning red and ripe in the yard. :)

I'll be making Italian dressing marinated grilled chicken breasts, baked potatoes, and cauliflower/broccoli mixed veg. A simple dinner, after last nights time-consuming lasagna.

I got home late last night--too late to grill the cornish hens, so we ended up having chanterelle mushroom, shallot, and brie omelets, white asparagus, and baguette.

Hopefully I will get home earlier tonight and be able to grill the hens and the corn on the cob. Otherwise, it's takeout!

I put chicken in the crockpot with some taco seasoning sprinkled on it with Salsa, cooked on low all day. When I get home I'll shred it and we'll have chicken tacos.

Tonight is Nutty Salmon, brown rice pilaf and steamed broccoflower. Yummy! And the best thing is the salmon is cooked in the microwave. No heat in my kitchen today!

Chicken noodle casserole & steamed veggies

Chicken Noodle Casserole

1 Pkg. Egg Noodles
1 Lg. Can of chicken or 1 lg. chicken breast
1 Lg. Can of cream of chicken soup
1 Cup shredded cheese (I prefer mexican blend)
1/2 Cup Sour Cream

I usually sprinkle a little extra cheese on top.

Cook the noodles & chicken (if you didn't get canned). Combine all ingredients until creamy and bake at 350 until bubbly and the cheese is brown.
