Becky Looks like someone munched on the cheese ;) . I love parm cheese. Lots of yummy food here I am eating my spinach salad.

Aimeedyan I caught sight of a fat person in my bathroom mirror this morning and scared the crap out of me. I thought someone snuck in. Who thought it was a good idea for mirrors anyway :confused3

Kathy You around! What happened with the game I came home and heard the Bears won. I am not a fan of football and the Bears stink your poor Saints. I am a baseball person Cubs all the way to the bottom

Becky -:worship: :worship: :worship: You freakin amaze me!!!!!! Johnny & I are starting to plan our trip up the east coast for next October (with Lauren's help). Can we book a reservation for dinner??:yay: :yay:

We had so many guys out with injuries and the Bears played their butts off. From what I've seen the Bears have played two great games back to back - that's a great way to end the season.:thumbsup2

liamsaunt, fantastic pics - now I'm starving! I had grilled cheese and chips for dinner.

Hey Guys - help inspire me. ILs are coming over on New Years Day at 1pm for a late lunch. I have very few ideas floating around in my head.

So, what is your New Years Day menu?

Today I am making ravioli lasagna, salad, and roasted garlic ciabatta for dinner. I am also making some homemade Chex mix. I halved the recipe and made it yesterday but my husband ate most of it so I have no make more. :)

WFD at your house?

Morning all. DH has been nice enough to share his cold with me, so I've been feeling pretty puny the past couple days. As long as it's gone by our trip next week, I'll be fine. AAAHH, we leave next Thursday and I'm not one bit ready (besides the actual marathon training). And between now and then I have 7 work days scheduled. I spent the weekend un-decorating our house, so at least that one major thing is off my to-do list. I hate to see Christmas "gone" so soon, but I was not having that job after our trip. Oh, and cooking's been non-existant around here. DH brought me Chinese on Saturday and then last night was sauce out of the jar on some spaghetti noodles.

We don't have any plans tonight, so I think I'm gonna make some snacky foods for hte kids, DH and I. Tomorrow morning we're headed to a Cotton Bowl party to watch AR play. I'm supposed to bring some "brunch-y" item. I got a tiramisu cheeseball mix for xmas, so I'm gonna do that with some graham crackers and then a fruit tray. Someone else is bringing french toast bake and egg casserole, so I thought I'd just do something light!

Stephanie- Sorry that you have a cold. DH has had one for almost a week and I am praying I don't get it.

Enyaj- Chinese is a favorite in my home. I save it for nights when I just don't feel like cooking.

Kathy- If you are planning a road trip don't forget that I am only 2 hours out of Boston!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Aimee- I can't really help to inspire you for NYD. I am planning to serve an assortment of appetizers all afternoon. I want to just enjoy the day but still have enough food so that I can open my home without feeling badly. This was the only thing I could come up with. Marisa and I ran through Costco for some and I will make some more this afternoon or tomorrow morning.

Well we are heading out tonight so dinner will be whatever is on the boat. Buddy and I are not night owls and my sister and her husband are so this is going to be interesting.

If I don't get back here today, everybody have a safe and Happy New Year!

Not much inspiration from me, sorry. Pork roast, cabbage and black-eyed peas.

Morning all. DH has been nice enough to share his cold with me, so I've been feeling pretty puny the past couple days.

I hope you start feeling better soon. You've gotta be better next week!!!!!:cool1:

You think I'd come up there and not plan to see you?????? When we get some firm dates I'll be in touch so we can start planning.;)

The boards are painfully slow today and I've got the birthdays to do so I may be doing that until midnite.

WFD - Prime Rib, Bacon Wrapped Scallops and Champagne!!!!:thumbsup2

Happy New Year's Eve, everyone! Dinner tonight will be Cheese Fondue with boiled potatoes and French bread; Pizza Fondue with French bread; chocolate caramel fondue with pound cake, and assorted fruit. I'm also making some corn dog bits for the kids.

We'll eat and play our Disney Scene It, and Disney Haunted Mansion Clue. I will sneakily move the clocks forward so that when it is really 9:00, the kids will think it is midnight. We can ring in the New Year, have some sparkling cider and the kid's will go to bed.

Our kids get a visit from Baby New Year who leaves them small gifts so that will happen shortly before I go to bed, and I'm hopeful that DH and I will be watching the ball drop from the warmth of our bed! In actuality, I haven't seen a ball drop in years! I'm just too much of a fuddy duddy, I guess.

As for tomorrow, we don't do much food wise. We'll snack around throughout the day, and I'll make sloppy joe pizza for dinner.

We are having Chinese take out in a little while. My ds's NYE party for the elderly was cancelled due to lousy Maine weather. Gonna open a bottle of bubbly in a few minutes:thumbsup2 Someone on my "I fell on the ice" thread suggested drinking for the pain- so why not???

I did not suggest it but it makes sense to me :thumbsup2. I really hope that you are better soon.

I talked to one of the docs at work and he confirmed what I thought- nothing to do for it. I don't want any hardcore pain killers so I'm better off to take ibuprofen and just baby my bum!

Happy New Year's Eve!

We're having party food for dinner tonight. Crackers and seafood dip, shrimp cocktail, grilled pizza, and wings with celery, carrots and blue cheese. Since I'm from Buffalo, you'd think I'd know how to make wings, but I've never actually made them. Everyone I know who lives/lived there always went out for wings. So I'm just going to "wing" it and and see how they turn out. sorry about the bad pun.
If we get hungry later we'll make some Chex mix and Wallaby Darned frozen drinks. Ooh, and if I don't forget again (like I did on my bday) I'm going to finally open my first bottle of Rosa Regale.

Tomorrow we're going to my mom and step-dad's to watch the Sabres game, open presents, and have dinner. We were with them, at my cousins house, on Christmas, but we like to have our own little Christmas with just my parents, DB, SIL and the three of us. I'm not exactly sure what else we're having for dinner, but I'm taking a lasagna.

Mermaid02 I broke my tail bone 2x since I thought it was soo much fun. It will hurt a lot for a while.

I thought I would gone you today I was dreaming walking out of work and kaboom. Old crocs and new snow do not mix.;) just consider it a free tip from me to you. Nothing is hurt but my pride.

We are having chicken on a stick and rice since the snow and I aren't getting along I am not taking anymore I'm taking a hint and staying in.:rolleyes1

I hope all you going out stay safe and Happy New Year

Well, I was going to make crabcakes but DH said to not make anything since we have so many leftovers to eat. This throws off my calorie count but I'll figure it out.

Ooh, and if I don't forget again (like I did on my bday) I'm going to finally open my first bottle of Rosa Regale.

The only kind I've made are the ones in the cooking bag that come with the seasoning, they're pretty good!
YUMMY - Rosa.......

I must have missed this post, you obviously took a fall. Hope you feel better soon.

Happy New Year, ya'll!

Tonight we had some of the black eyed peas that I really made for tomorrow, along with some corn muffins. I also made Lindsay's Vanilla Rich Chip Cake again. I just love it and it is super easy!
