Morning all--
I know that we have raised Ross to be a kind and sharing child, BUT he did not have to go so far as to share his cold with me,lol...yep I woke up with it this morning...blah! I am heading back to bed now that he is off to school.
Hope you get to feeling better. Hailey shared hers with me. I'm just back from the doctor after trying to deny for the past three days that I was getting sick (you know, it isn't real unless you acknowledge it). Anyway, I have bronchitis and have to pick up my prescription in an hour or so.
No, I did not make it all the way to the panel. I was booted out after the second round. We did have 6 DISers make it though. The entire things was a blast and I would do it again. My family really thinks I'm a Disney nerd now!
Aren't we all Disney nerds here?
I'm starting to think this thread is spreading germs!![]()

Dinner tonight is kind of up in the air. It's Jacob's birthday and he requested teriyaki salmon. That's fine with me, however, Leslie woke up this morning with a very high fever, so I don't know if I'll be able to get to the store to pick up the salmon. So, I may have to do the salmon another night, and go with spaghetti instead. Hopefully, Jacob will be understanding. We are going to have birthday cake, and Alan will pick up some ice cream on his way home.
Happy Birthday to Jacob! I'm sure he will be understanding about the salmon. I hope since you didn't mention feeling poorly that you are better.
A Cabela's just opened less than 10 minutes from our house at the beginning of October! Needless to say DH was like a kid at Christmas. He had the big Cabelas catalog out everynight for a week. I'm not sure if he was checking prices to see if they would be the same in the store, or just making a really BIG list! We were there twice opening weekend. It is across the highway from a newly expanded outlet mall, so I guess it's only fair we give the guys equal time! The kids did get a kick out of all the exotic wildlife displays.
Hope everyone kicks the crud that seems to be making its way around. Off to wash my hands.....![]()

We don't have a Cabela's near us. Patrick (DS) isn't really a shopper, but I would probably have to have a crowbar and some TNT to get him out of there. The last catalog he received was dog-eared from hours upon hours of wishful longing.
I have leftovers from the pot roast the other night that I am considering turning into a shepherd's pie...I really can't explain why I feel like doing this because shepherd's pie reminds me of my grade school cafeteria.

Maybe you're just having childhood flashbacks.

I have no idea what we are doing for dinner tonight. The meatballs last night were good, but I cooked them too long and I didn't care for the sauce. Next time, less time in the oven and a different gravy.
Tonight was supposed to be a peanut chicken with fettucine. We'll see if I'm up to it or if I can convince Kenny I'm just too weak to cook.

The social worker visit went well yesterday. She was nice once she got here and actually had some autism knowledge which is a welcome change from most of the state employees I've had to deal with. She asked intelligent questions and was complimentary of Hailey's therapy programs. She was surprised that an autistic child with DD's current functioning level could be so social and fit into a family unit. She said most of the children she sees at that level are tearing the families apart because their behaviors are so difficult to manage. I told her that DD had been receiving therapy for almost 8 years. At the end of the meeting she said that it was a shame that all the autistic children couldn't receive similar therapy.
Have a great day everyone.
