Hi all! I though I would start an official WFD thread (per request of some other DISers). I will try to stay on top of changing the date and making sure days are easy to find.

Tonight we are having my husband's second favorite. It's Ritz Parmesan chicken. It's chicken breasts baked with a Ritz cracker/Parm cheese blend. It's sooo yummy. It's what my grandmother is known for We are having some teriyaki noodles and some kind of veggie with it.

When we start a new day I will put a bold date in the subject of the first post so it will be easier to find

Are you really so organized???

We're probably having either pork chops or hot sausage sandwiches. The only reason I know ahead of time is because that's the only meat I've got in the house right now.

I sit down the day before (sometimes the day OF) we go to the grocery store and decide what I what to do for dinner the following week. I know I know, I'm a loser. But it's just me and my hubby and it makes things a whole lot easier on me

Tonights a quick dinner...I get home at 4 and my daughter has karate from 515-615 and then girl scouts from 630-815 tonight so I have to get something together really quick at 4.....

Nooo, you're not a loser at all! I really wish we could be that way. DH suggests it all the time, but I have such a hard time planning in advance like that. I just buy things I know we like and play it by ear. I'd probably save myself a lot of hassle and money by planning. For example, I bought ground beef when we went shopping on Sunday, then we ended up wanting meatloaf on Tuesday. I didn't have half the stuff to make meatloaf, so I had to run to the store to get it.

we are going to be gone on Friday, so we are having corned beef and cabbage today. Its cooking in the crock-pot so all I will have to do is fix the veggies when I get home tonight. I still have a leftover ham bone I need to use, looks like we are having ham and beans this weekend!

leftovers.... I made chicken in the crock pot yesterday but dd wasn't feeling well and ds had a hotdog... dh and I split one chicken breast so there are 3 left along with the rice. They're gonna eat it until it's GONE!

I might have a salad with it if I can be bothered stopping by the grocery store on my way home from work to pick one up.

Creme Brule French Toast. It was an idea I saw on a website and I thought I would try it. Hopefully it comes out good. I mixed eggs with half & half and vanilla then poured part of it over slices of challah bread. I then poured caramel sauce on it, placed more slices of bread on top of that then poured the rest of the egg mix over the whole thing. I did this last night, when I get home from work I will pop it in the oven and bake.

No I didn't. I was visiting the web site for a store called Let's Dish. You go there to make meals that you take home. I was at the site looking at the menus and saw Creme Brule French Toast with a brief synopsis of what it had in it and just did it on my own. That's why I said I hoped it would come out okay, I just winged it. I will have to check out Epicurious and see how close I came.
