Sheryl, on our last trip, we stayed in Building 54. According to the resort map, it doesn't have any HA rooms. (We only need first floor, not a roll in shower). What made the room so nice was that it was out of the way and kind of in the back.

When I spoke with Kenny about the villa number and your concern about road noise, he said he hasn't heard the traffic in any of the villas we stayed in. He basically said what I posted earlier - the only noise we have encountered was noisy neighbors above us and that has not been very often.

I don't know about the boat to DTD, but if they can accomodate Bob's chair, it is a lovely ride (if the weather isn't freezing). You can even get a view of the old Tree House Villas from the river.

Sorry I wasn't more helpful.

Evening all............We got back wicked late last night from Bar Harbor, and then I spent most of the day at school, and getting last minute things for Ross as well....(we had to make a last min run to the shoe store, as I spaced on getting him his football cleats, and practice is tomorrow night...ugh). School starts tomorrow, and I only have to be there for the first 2 hrs, and then the last to help all the cute little lost Kindergarten babes find their way around. Hard to imagine Ross as that small......Where does the time go?!!?
I won't have to start in the behavior program for 2 weeks as that is when the first meeting is scheduled for...of course that doesn't mean that they won't be calling me in for emergency issues............
I am sure I have pages upon pages to catch up with on here.....I will do that in the down time tomorrow, but tonight I need to make the rest of the name tags for the little ones.....(of course I am decorating them with disney stickers and punches!!)

Dinner tonight was my super quick and easy (usually saved for crazy karate nights) stove top tuna casserole, along with cukes and some crusty rolls.

"talk" to you all soon.............I hope this does find everyone doing great!!!

Thanks that is plenty helpful!!! Tell Kenny we appreciate his help too! :thumbsup2 :goodvibes

Here's a pic of the okra dish!

It turned out really well. Along with the fresh okra, I ended using andouille sausage, shrimp, fresh creoles tomatoes and rotel tomatoes (canned tomatoes with chiles). Since their doesn't seem to one consistent name for this dish, I'll call it Creole Summer Stew. I did use Kathy's tip of putting a lemon slice in with the okra while cooking it down. And since the Sherry made such a difference with the crawfish etoufee, I added a few splashes of Sherry. Finished it with fresh basil and sage. I made DH a happy man tonight. He actually said his lack of enthusiasm this morning was because he thought I coudn't pull it off! ;)

Tonight I made spaghetti - boring but easy, cheap, and tasty.

Won't be cooking much this week; we have 2 dinners out already scheduled and he'll be hunting all weekend.

Wow Sheryl, that looks absolutely delicious!! Really! Somebody give me a spoon! And good for you for "pulling it off":cheer2:

Here's dinner tonight--curried coconut chicken, jasmine rice with sesame seeds, and bok choy stir fried wih sesame oil and sriacha condiment. It was spicy! I really liked the bok choy--less so the chicken. I am having a really hard time eating meat lately--I think I am just naturally reverting back to being a vegetarian--well, maybe a pescetarian! :)

Becky - another great meal. I really love your food presentations. Always so perfect, what I would expect from a top rated restaurant:thumbsup2

Every time I fall a little behind and try to catch up early I end up eating like a mad woman all day long! Between the muffin recipes, the amazing creole stew with okra, the coconut chicken and sloppy joes with mashed potatoes I am already drooling! It's going to be a long day for me, I can tell :rotfl:

Wendie- I keep picturing you shooing little cuties along to their rooms :thumbsup2. You have an amazing job.

I wonder how everyone is keeping up with after school activities and kids???
I only have a DGD and my DSIL was home with her yesterday and my house is upside down, laundry is backed up, I have no food cooked and today is not looking any better :rotfl2:!

We shopped for dinner and I have a list of things I want to prepare early before I help at Gail's house. My BIL is working on a ramp but I can see that he is going to be tearing down parts of their brand new home.....they did not buy a handicapped accessible home and thought that they would manage, but this is the first event that they plan and it is clear that it is not going to work. They are out of the radius for the wheelchair service so that is bad, but his brothers chair is massive so swinging it around is going to be very difficult. Mike was pretty upset with himself yesterday so I am especially glad that we planned on the garage for dinner. We are going to use china and silver and we bought more wine glasses, so it is going to be a little weird, but fun! I was able to get more Rosa....funny, after the wine guy got some there seems to be a market for it :confused3.

Thank you for all the suggestions, I appreciate them. This is not my party or my guests so I worry about how my cooking will be. We bought sugar peas and green beans so I am not sure which I will fix, minted peas or the beans with tomatoes. Which do you think works better?

Sheryl- I have my DH thinking about the 500!

Well, I talk to you all soon, have a great day

Tonight it's leftover homemade sloppy joes, and chip and dip. (Note: making the Joes with smoked sausage was MUCH better than the hot dogs it called for. The hot dogs tasted fine the first time, but the smoked sausage just added a lot more flavor).

WFD at your house?

ETA:

Next up: Blueberries with Lemon pie filling!!!

:faint::faint::faint::faint:

PLEASE let me know how those turn out!! I think they would be my fave!!
All hail Glynis for her blueberry muffin recipe and variations! :worship::worship::worship:

Good morning everyone!

Tonight will be roast chicken, mashed potatoes and roasted brussel sprouts.

Have a great day!

Good Morning All!

Nancy, Wishing you all the best today...most of all, have fun! I think both veggies sound good. :thumbsup2

No cooking here today...well, breakfast only. We are going to see American Idol tonight and Tom is home so we can get an early start...he also got a new part to his lawn tractor yesterday and wants to hook it up...how convenient! ;)

Breakfast will be english muffins, eggs, canadian bacon and maybe homefries...I wanted crepes but do not feel like making them...Dinner will be a great chinese restaurant.

Have a great day!

Good Morning! :sunny:

Tonight's dinner is going to be beef stir-fry, jasmine rice, and egg rolls.

Lauren ~ Are you going to take pictures tonight? When you mentioned you were going to see AI, for some reason the first thing that popped into my head was, "I wonder what Blake's hair looks like now." LOL Have fun!

Sheryl and Becky -- The food looks great!

Wendie -- Thanks for helping out the little ones. Caili will be one of those wide-eyed Kindergarteners next Thursday.

Lauren -- Have a great time tonight!

Nancy -- I am sure all your food will be wonderful. Have fun! My vote is for the minted peas. Maybe you can enlist Kady's help in shelling them. Caili likes doing kitchen assignments like that.

Well, DH is out fishing again this morning (you have to give him credit for persistence!) so if he catches something, we will have that. I have steaks defrosting in the refrigerator just in case though. ;) Sides will be crispy potato cake, green beans, cumin corn and tomato salad.

I'm having a lot of fun messing around with the recipe! I also want to try peach. Alan is not so happy with me, since he is trying to low carb it, and when he came home yesterday, there were not only muffins, but I also made a little cake with the leftover batter. Funny how when I got up this morning, there was not a crumb left of the cake. He did manage to leave 4 muffins for the kids after school snacks today!

its only 10:30 and catching up on all these delish dishes just makes me wish it were dinner time! ;)
Last night was Quesidillas again..had to use up the veggies and beans! :) I did make homemade guac. again though, which is always good with me!
Tonight..not sure, gotta take the dog to the vet :( poor guy...we found some crazy lump on him that needs to be checked out..i know, appetizing...:lmao:

Well, all my babies are now officially in school! I just got all 4 out the door to catch the bus. The twins were so excited to get up, get dressed in their new outfits, and be with the "big kids". I have to admit that I got a bit teary, but I expected that!

Dinner tonight will be taco cups, green salad, and brownies for dessert. Fast and easy.

I can't believe how quiet my house is right now. Hopefully I'll get used to it!

Have a great day!

I'm jealous!! I wanted to go see them but they're not coming near enough to my area. I'm with Sandy - take pictures!!

Dinner tonight will be something easy, probably pasta and salad.
