Wendie - I miss the days when our house was full of kids, for the same reason you mentioned, I knew what was going on. I saw Kyle for 30 minutes yesterday, now that he drives he's never home, especially when he's got a few bucks on him. Yesterday he went to Abi's, baseball, shopping and dinner. He's a good, responsible kid, but I miss my BOY!!!

liamsaunt - That tuna looks so yummy!

I've got to make a run to Sam's today so I need to start clearing out the freezer this weekend.:rolleyes1 Tonight will be an Omaha steak night with the stuffed sole and au gratin potatoes. Very "easy" one for me!:yay:

Have a great day everyone!

Decided! We are eating early today, and Laura and the kids are here (Caili came in first place in today's skating competition, hooray!). Dinner is going to be barbequed chicken, mashed sweet potatoes, and fresh green peas.

Well, see my poor, sick. hospitalized mother loves cheesecake and I thought she deserved a treat so yes.. I have a cheese cake... It's in 4 quarters, pineapple, cherry, strawberry, and blueberry

Well, of course you had to get it for her!! I know it made her feel better!:goodvibes I really hope she is doing better!

Thank you all for your best wishes!!! I am still a little paniced but all will go well...that is my nature...I tend to be a mess when planning things. Let's see what went wrong today...I dropped off the unity candle and bird seed to the church and the secretary proceeded to tell me that bird seed was not allowed...the Pastor was not there so I could not talk to him about it. Andrew was so upset since he was the ring leader of that project. It we can't use it its no big deal...I will just give it all to my Mom who feeds the birds outdoors everyday...Then Tom and Andrew go to pick up their Tuxes and Andrew's pants are too short, Tom's sleeves are too long and the shirt does not fit. They assure us that everything will be fixed tomorrow...Needless to say, I've had a few Cosmos...It could be worse right...:) :) :)

Thank you all again! I really appreciate all the kind words. I will be thinking of all of you on Sunday!!! Tom called the Inn to make sure they had internet and they do so I may check in during the week...we are internet junkies!!!! :)

Love and hugs to all of you!!!

Lauren, Praying for everything to be perfect for you!! If everything is not perfect that's okay too. It's about a marriage and a family becoming one. God Bless You, Tom and Andrew on this wonderful occasion!

Sheryl--- I missed a lot on here, but Mario was not one of those things......something else delish in your kitchen besides food........

:rotfl2: Glad you didn't miss that!!!

Lauren, I am so excited for you!! They did not allow birdseed at my wedding either. We passed out little jars of bubbles instead! It might be too late for your ceremony, but I just thought I would mention it. They sell the small bubble jars at craft stores. Dont YOU go to the store to get them though! :)

Not sure wfd yet!

Lady, You continue to dazzle us!!! That one looks better than the finest restaurant dining!! Did you make the pasta for the ravioli's too??!

No cooking last night, went out for sushi & seared rare tuna!!

No cooking tonight either, we have friends 30th wedding anniversary party to go to!

I picked out my tiles for the kitchen! They look a lot like real travertine but won't need to be sealed. Mario starts on the wall Monday!

Have a good weekend friends!

Sheryl

Today we are going to Jason's Deli and to see "Ocean's 13."

WFD at your house?

The noodles are courtesy of Lipton :) The recipe for the chicken was on page 49, but here it is again, just for you :)

Nutty Chicken

2/3 cup (eyeball it) cashews
½ cup plan bread crumbs
1 T. grill seasoning
2 eggs
Splash of milk
½ cup all-purpose flour
3-4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1. Preheat oven to 350.

2. Put nuts, bread crumbs, and grill seasoning in a food processor and combine. Pour breading into a bowl.

3. Beat eggs and milk and place in a bowl. Pour flour into a separate bowl.

4. Dust both sides of chicken with flour. Dip chicken into egg and then coat with breading.

5. Preheat a nonstick skillet over medium high heat. Add vegetable to lightly coat the bottom of the pan. Brown chicken about 3-4 minutes on each side or until light golden in color.

6. Place chicken in the oven a cook about 10-15 minutes or until chicken is done.

Thank you Lindsay. It looks wonderful. And I use those Lipton noodles and rice sides all the time. I served some to my inlaws once and when MIL called me to ask me for the recipe for the rice I didn't want to admit it was Lipton. :scared: But I figured I couldn't be the only person taking that short cut. She laughed when I told her how I made it and asked what flavor it was.

Anyway, thanks again for the chicken recipe. This is definitely on next week's menu.

That looks amazing. I never cease to be impressed by your lovely meals.

Have a good weekend friends!

Sheryl

Sheryl, I'm so glad you got your tile picked out. Those sorts of things are always so stressful for me. I would have had a hard time, especially after my first choice had been vetoed. I would have been really unsure of myself at that point and would have had an even more difficult time.

Jenny - I absolutely agree with Sheryl, as a good daughter I can't see how you could have done anything less.

Lauren - I know things are crazy for you today, but I hope everything goes perfectly for you tomorrow, you deserve it. I'll be thinking of you.

Lori - Good job on resisting the extra drinking calories. My willpower is terrible, but you have inspired me to try again. I weighed myself on Friday and I figure I have about 61 pounds to lose. I'll let you know how it goes.

Tonight we are going out to dinner with my sister and her husband. So simple for me.

Gretchen

I did not feel good at all yesterday and it was a very busy day..My mother is home from the hospital but the visiting nurse almost sent her back..She may have to go back Monday. Thanks for all the well wishes..I'm having a piece of strawberry cheesecake right now...It's so light and fluffy for a cheesecake.. It better be for 27$
I have some ribeyes marinating in lime and mexican spices.. I will grill it and have it in carne asada tacos with salsa and fresh guacamole.. I'll either make refried beans or some grilled veggies on the side

Good Afternoon everyone! I checked in this morning but I needed to get out of the house early.

Lauren- Don't worry about the birdseed. If this is the only glitch, your special day will be way above most!

Jenny_ You are a good DD! I hope Marisa is paying attention....If Mom is sick but dessert :thumbsup2

Gretchen- I have not been brave enough to get on a scale. I keep buying the magazines, you know the ones at the supermarket...."Lose 20 lbs in one week" but on the same cove there is a fabulous dessert! Guess which one prevails in my home :confused3

Anyway, I would not mind a "healthy" Buddy if you want to try with me, I have no staying power of my own.

liamsaunt- I cannot think of anyone else to prepare a Glory dinner for Caili's first place :cheer2:! Your food is simply amazing.

Kathy- I know how you feel with the kids away from the house. We always had a full house and never had just the family for dinner. Buddy and I loved it (although he felt he had to do some grumbling just to stay in shape). We would go to bed at night and wake up to extra lumps on the couch and on the floor. I really miss those days and you can tell that we don't like an empty house. Buddy would hijack the kids to get them to have dinner here....but he would have to say "Costing me money". I told him that when he goes the kids are going to engrave that saying on his tombstone :rotfl2:

We are watching Kady tonight. DS got tickets to a Mets game so DD and DSIL are on their way. DS and DDIL are probable going to crash at home though, he has been putting in at least 12 hours a day and has a 75 minute commute so he is tired. DH and I are going to try to find something fun to do with Kady that involves eating out. Have a great evening everyone!

Well, dinner is over. Here is a picture:

Laura told me today that she has a picture of the kids in her signature! She said she changed her philosophy after talking to everyone here. I have been reading the dis with everyone's avatars and signatures turned off by default...I turned those controls on today and feel like I know you all better after seeing your sigs! :) I added a picture of me and dsis Laura to my signature--she's on the left, I am on the right.

Laura said to post the pictures I took today of Caili with her medal:

OK, I'm joining the crowd with a pic of Johnny & I in my sig!!

Laura & liamsaunt - are you guys twins? Caili looks like a little doll!!

Tonight we are having my favorite pizza. Then we are going to watch Finding Nemo on my new TV. I finally get to relax tonight. I'm caught up on my paperwork.
:cool1:

This morning I was ***bing out my crabby Himi and the little stinker bit me. My arm looks like I had a run in with a Vampire.

I have about 15-20 lbs I want to lose before we go to WDW in Oct. Hopefully I can lose it the easy way. The last time I lost a large amount of weight was when I had a jaw infection, I so don't want to do that again.

liamsaunt your pictures are always amazing.

Hey All! I have been sick with my nerves all day...I think finally I can calm down...just a little more packing to do...thank you all for your well wishes...!!! :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Jenny, I hope you and your Mom are felling better....

Liamsaunt...love your sig pic! I couldn't open the others...We did think of bubbles but Tom wanted birdseed...the one thing he picked and we may not be able to have it!!! :lmao:

Thank you all again!!! I'll miss you guys!

PS: We extended our trip and staying at Mohegan Sun for 1 night! :cool1:

Laura, I can't remember the place you re***mended. If you are around, please tell me again...TIA!

Nancy, I am going to try Costello's which is owned by the same person that owns the place you told me about...

Thanks again guys!

Laura & liamsaunt - are you guys twins? Caili looks like a little doll!!

No, we're not twins, although I can't tell you how many people have said that about us.

We do admit that we talk alike (even our DHs and our father have gotten us mixed up on the phone), think alike and have many of the same mannerisms. Maybe we have twin brains...just separated by two years. However, we don't think we look anything alike.

As for Caili, she was very excited about her first place finish today. However, she has won this particular event every time she has entered it this season, so it wasn't a surprise to me. Tomorrow is the big event -- her individual program -- and then her team event. I am WAY more nervous than she is. When people ask her if she is nervous, she looks at them like "What is nervous???"

Dinner tonight was good. My stomach wasn't feeling that great last night, but the meal I had with Sis was very wel***ing. I think tomorrow I am eating out with my parents between skating events and Liam's last baseball game of the season.

Hi Lauren! It's Summer Shack. Jasper White owns it, and the seafood is just amazing. If you're feeling really indulgent, try the pan-seared lobster. YUM! Or like I said before, the fried clams are awesome. Of course, so is the fried calamari (spicy RI style), the daily specials, the raw bar...since you're on your honeymoon, I guess inviting more people to eat with you so you can try everything is not a good idea, so you'll have to make some tough choices.

Get a good sleep tonight...you've done all the stressing this week. Now it is time to relax. Tomorrow is going to be wonderful!

Lauren - I luv ya girl - all the best to you and your guys!!!!!

I thought since I piddled with my sig, I screwed things up, glad to see it's fixed!

I like all the added pics!
Lori - Good job on resisting the extra drinking calories. My willpower is terrible, but you have inspired me to try again. I weighed myself on Friday and I figure I have about 61 pounds to lose. I'll let you know how it goes.
Gretchen
Yell if you need any moral support! I have no willpower either. My motivation is mostly lacking too. However I can hold down that spot in front of the tv real well!:rotfl2: I've been craving a chocolate milk shake today. But I'd have to walk in the heat to get it. So maybe that lack of motivation isn't so bad after all!

Gretchen- I have not been brave enough to get on a scale. I keep buying the magazines, you know the ones at the supermarket...."Lose 20 lbs in one week" but on the same cove there is a fabulous dessert! Guess which one prevails in my home :confused3

Methinks there's a Halloween decoration there. Make one and stick it in the front yard and see how long it takes Buddy to say something!:lmao:
