Thanks Sheryl! I'll give them a try tomorrow with the leftovers and let ya know how it goes.

:rotfl: Rick's getting jealous now- i try all these new recipes while he's gone (personal taste testing) so I know what he'll like when he gets home. He's jealous of me.........he's eating Red Lobster cheddar biscuits without me! And he won't even stash any to bring home for me, don'tcha know!

I can't keep up with all of you...you ladies are just posting away!!! I have to go back a read the last page...

Sheryl, your sausage dish sounds great...that will definitely be on the list for us. The strawberries sound good too. I like to soak mine in Grand Marnier...love that stuff! I craved it when I was PG...pregnant...here I go again with abbreviations!

Wedding Update: I just bought alot of glass bowls for my candy buffet and I am hoping to win some scoops on Ebay. I am thinking to do a red, white and pink buffet. Jelly Bellys, M&M, swedish fish...yeah!

Glynis, That sounds like a great family! 11 SIBLINGS, WOW!
How nice that everyone still gets together. I hope you have a great time!

Lori, Obviously Rick's a smart guy. I'm sure your cooking a lot better than Red Lobster!

Lauren, I going to have to go get a bottle of that! You are as bad as me, when I was pregnant (many, many years ago) I craved Champagne & Raw Oysters! Back then there were no warnings about raw oysters & I ate them without problems. Couldn't quelch the Champagne craving though.

Do any of you grow herbs during the spring & summer? I'm so happy, my basil is starting to grow. I have to get back to the garden center & get some thyme & a few others. I plant them all in pots, so it's not so back breaking.

WOW - you guys have been very busy today! Like Zilla, I'm going to have to back & read to catch up.

I don't know what I was thinking only cooking one rack of baby back ribs. They smell so good, I just know I'll probably only get one, my guys will devour them.:sad2:

I'm all for ease and convenience! Especially at the holidays!!!

I'm getting ready for our annual family Easter Egg hunt. We're lucky enough to live in the same town as 3 of my husband's 11 siblings, and 4 others live in neighboring towns. On the Saturday before Easter, we gather at my SIL's house (think HUGE), and do an egg hunt for all the kids. Each family dyes at least a dozen hard boiled eggs and those get hidden around the estate. Each family also brings about 20 dollars worth of candy and that gets tossed around the yards and gardens. The kids (this year there will be at least 40) will be divided by age, and then let loose on different areas of the estate. They hunt and fill their baskets to their heart's content! It's always fun! Afterwards, we barbecue and just visit while the kids get all hopped up on sugar. Ah, the holidays!!!

Your family has so much fun on the Holidays!

I'm making Mexican Food for dinner. We got these new tortilla chips, and they're just like the resaurant kind so we can't wait to try them...

I'm just checking in while dinner is cooking, I miss too much if I wait :rotfl:

Sheryl- I grow herbs every year too. The chives are peeking out but the others have either died or aren't awake yet. Buddy tried to throw them out Sunday while I was at my Mom's .

Kathy- My DD told me when I posted the recipe that I should add to cook "just short of enough." One time I cooked ribs, invited my oldest to join us, and there was really not enough ribs. One little piece left waiting for someone to take it....no one would :confused3. Well that was the only time I have ever been short and 10 years later they still talk about the time Mom ran out of food :scared1:

Nan - I had an  - I crisped up some green onion sausage and I'm going to throw that in and roll 'em around in the sauce and "demand" they eat sausage and ribs!:rotfl:

Another thing almost in common...I craved clams on the half shell...I remember going to Biggie's Clam Bar in Hoboken, NJ (Old Blue Eyes home town) with a group of friends and I sat there salivating while they ate them...:)

Kathy, that Rueben bake is the best    ! So easy too...oh I forgot...it came from the Queen!!! :lmao:

Kathy- Good idea! If your family is like mine one little shortfall is going to last forever in their memories!

I just love EASY, what can I say?:lmao: :lmao: We haven't had it in a while, gotta put it on the list.

Love your red, white & pink candy theme!!

Nancy - the guys aren't home yet but I took a sneak taste of the ribs and they are incredible, they should be illegal! So glad I threw that sausage in there because I'm definitely going to get my share. Thanks so much for posting the recipe!!!!!!!!!!

FormrCastMbr Thank you for that cupcake recipe. I just made some white cake mix, peach fresca really tasty.

I never did grill the sausage. The sky kept looking nasty so I turned to plan b Trader Joes Thai shrimp noodle thing a friend gave me. Almost like eating in my fav Thai restaurant.

I'll be taking pictures of the festivities on Saturday. If they turn out, I'll post some.

I do grow herbs. I have mint, chives, basil, oregano, and thyme. The chives really have done well. I spent a lot of time last fall drying a ton of herbs. At least I'm getting some use out of my food dehydrator!

Your family has so much fun on the Holidays!

My hope is that my kids will have so much fun on the holidays, etc., that they won't remember how much I yell at them during the rest of the year.:lmao:

Tonight I am making spaghetti and meatballs, with salad and bread. I was going to put some sweet Italian sausage in it, but it turns out I don't have any. And with no car, I can't go get it!! Grrr! Tomorrow can't get here fast enough!

WFD at your house?

IT's cold. It's rainy. IT"S time for Jewish Pennecillan...Matzoh ball soup

You're right Jenny! It is cold and rainy and miserable!

I am not cooking this evening. Kady needs to fast today she can have jello and apple juice until 9:30 and then nothing. The last time she had this procedure she was hungry after she woke up completely, so she is going to go wherever she wants to go. Marisa thinks she will choose Red Robin, it is one of her favorite places to eat. (DGD is her Nana's girl and love to eat out) DH is going to a tobacco meeting that includes dinner. He'd rather come with us and watch his "little Buddy" eat.
