Nancy - thanks for the salad dressing recipe!

Gretchen - Loving your reviews. We haven't been to Ohana since the menu change (DH loved the shrimp on skewers), may have to re-think my ADR's. Your DD is one smart cookie!!!!:thumbsup2

Gretchen ~ Great reviews! Do you know if they still have the pineapple spears with carmel sauce at Ohana? They were so good.

I didn't see any pineapple spears when we were there. I think from other posts I read, that was discontinued along with the grilled shrimp and shrimp wantons. :confused3 But since this was my first visit, I'm not sure about the prior menu.

I'm guessing Gretchen, because I very seldom weigh anything. The potatoes are filling, I would think at least three people per pound. I doubled the recipe and sliced what I thought was about 2 lbs and with 4 adults and 1 child we had leftovers.

Thanks, I just wanted a rough estimate from someone who had served them. My mother requested steaks on Sunday, and I thought this would go well with steak. I was trying to get an idea of how many times I would need to double the recipe to serve ten adults (3 of whom are large eaters) and four kids. I think I should be safe with 6 lbs of potatoes and if there is any left over, well, I don't think DH will let it go to waste.

Gretchen, thank you for such a good review of Ohana-we are doing that next February when we go for my birthday!
Lori

BTW-Dh is OOT and we will be getting carry out from somewhere!

DS had a baseball game this evening but we still managed to squeeze in some Chicken Fettucine Alfredo for dinner. Of course we ate fairly late but with 3 games a week, all during the weekdays, I was getting tired of fast food.

Good morning everyone.

Tonight's dinner is leftover jambalya. Lori, we really enjoyed it - thanks for sharing the recipe. We don't know who Chris Daigle is either, but we're keeping his recipe.

Gretchen

I am glad you are posting your trip report and sooo glad you enjoyed the jambalaya!!

Boy I've got a busy day ahead of me. After working out, I am going to get my eyebrows waxed (they are naturally bushy and I REFUSE to sit and pluck to death, much easier just to go have someone else do them!), and then geting my roots touched up (the gray is sneaking back in). My husband's monthly Geek meeting is tonight so I am on my own for dinner. Since I am baking muffins tonight (the blue blueberry ones!), I plan on driving through Chick-fil-A and getting dinner.

WFD at your house?

After giving ds a ride to school (boy will I be glad when he can take the bus again....at least it isn't the middle of winter and 20 below out) I will come home and do a few things around the house, then I have to go get my 93 year old grandmothers groceries (which the stores are 15 min away), bring those to her(and she is 35 min from the stores), and put them away, then I will run a few errands before heading to school to pick him up at 2pm. Ds is going to go and sit in at karate tonight, so even though he can't participate it is still a karate night which means supper is going to be......ahhhhh.....ummmmm...good question......started posting before I gave that any thought...........great, going to be one of those days........ok I will get back to you on that one.........
Have a great day all!!!

Good morning everyone!

Tonight I'm trying Glynis' Cranberry(don't tell my guys) Polynesian chicken, fruited rice pilaf and a yet to be determined veggie.

Have a great day!

Good morning all! We're back from our adult only trip this weekend. It was so fun. Our best meal was at Raglan Road--if you've never been there, it's worth it just to walk in and look at the restaurant. The bar is amazing. Our CM was great explaining the history of the place.

Not sure wfd around here--beginning to be the norm around here. But I have to hit the store today. Might try something out of Cooking Light--great mag. this month!:thumbsup2

Hi All!

I haven't been around as much the last few days and boy, I missed so much!

Gretchen, thanks for the reviews! :thumbsup2 Great job!

Stephanie, Glad you liked Ragland Road...we are going there in Nov and may even get an adults night since Tom's sis and family are going the same time (Jersey Week) and our nephew may watch Andrew.

Can you also recommend a building at SSR? I have never stayed there and would like to be pretty close to everything...is it the Springs I should request? TIA!

Yesterday was a crazy day and we wound up having chinese...today I will make Glynis Pizza Meatloaf Muffins (Low carb version). Porbably green beans on the side.

Tom finally showed me how to use photobucket but he has our camera at work so I hopefully will take a pic tonight and post them soon...

Have a great day all!

ETA: Lindsay, I am going tomorrow for my roots (I am 85% gray)...I went way too long trying to space it out for the wedding. I look as we put it, like Whiskey Tango (White Trash) but tomorrow I will be beautiful again!!! :) Enjoy your day!

Lauren--We had requested the Springs on our previous trip, but when we checked in the CM offered to switch us to the new section, The Grandstand. I highly reccommend The Grandstand. It's only a 5 minute walk from the check in and Arist Pallette. The Grandstand has it's own pool, pool bar and kid's splash play area. There are also only 4 buildings over there, only 2 of which were open when we were there in April. Also, it's the first pickup and drop off for the busses. Hope that helps. We have also stayed at Congress Park, that was great for walking to DTD, but not much else!

I'm making Chicken Scalloppine (the easy way) and either rice or pasta and a salad.

I just got the blueberry muffins out of the oven. I hope the they are as good as the batter was!!! :)

Morning Y'all,

Lindsay, you sure are industrious this morning! Now I'm wishing for a blueberry muffin to go with this coffee!:surfweb:

Lauren, Computer guys, you gotta love 'em! I hate having to ask DH to teach me this computer stuff. And I have to ask him over & over, cause I just forget it anyway!

I'm with you two in the root club! We're going out to a nice rest. on Mother's Day & now I have to figure out if I can get a touch up in before then! aaahh!

Stephanie, Glad you had a fun trip. Adults only is fun isn't it! Please tell us foodaholics what y'all had to eat & drink at Raglan Road! I love the details!

Our Chicken Taco Salads (with my semi-disaster leftover chicken) were delicious! But I still have a bunch of chicken/cheese mix left. I think I'm going to try a Potato Florentine type thing with the rest of it. The chicken has some mexican seasoning in it, but I think it's not so much that I can't change it up. Besides I can't make things to spicy for my Cajun hubby! That & a salad will be WFD tonight.

Ladies, I am in the roots club as well! It takes forever to get an appt with my hairdresser so I make them 2 appointments out! I hate appointments and avoid them as much as possible, but hair is my one exception :thumbsup2.

Tonight we are having kielbasa and something. I figure it out as I get closer to dinnertime.

Hi Mom!!

I could go for some buttered egg noodles with dinner!! YUMMY! Just a suggestion.. (hint, hint) What do you think of my new signature?

I hear you about the eyebrows!!! Mine are the same way, and it's so worth it to me to pay 8 dollars to have a professional do them for me!

Enjoy the blueberry muffins!! Not to mention the Chik-fil-A.
