The Official "What University Do You Go To and What Major?" Thread

Who's your fave band? I know when I went to T.U., several local bands like Admiral Twin and Caroline's Spine came through a lot.

Anna

Ooh, Admiral Twin is a good band, I haven't heard much about them in a few years though!

Think about the summer of 1997 and that ONE song that played over and over and over on the radio from very talented three blonde kids and you will be on the right track ;)

Hanson =)

That is awesome, and male hanson fans are nearly unheard of! :lovestruc

Too bad you weren't older, or I'd have to ask you to marry me LOL.

I'm even wearing a Hanson tshirt in my avatar pic.

Move along everyone, nothing else to see here ;)

Hi there!

I'm starting at the College for Creative Studies in the fall and majoring in animation. I went to the University of Michigan school of Art & Design for a year and decided that it wasn't for me... not enough animation, more general art stuff. I'm hoping to do the CP either next summer or the summer after, and then finish out school and pray for an internship with Disney animation, which is what I have wanted to do for the rest of my life since I was four years old and saw The Lion King for the first time :)

Also, to answer the question about U of M: I was all set to do the CP the summer after my sophomore year there, I had talked to my adviser and everything about it before I decided I wanted to transfer. So YES, they do allow students to do the CP and receive credit for it.

Yay a thread not about the CP:thumbsup2
I just finished my undergrad in May. Graduated from the University of NH. I'll be starting grad school there in about a month. Majored in communication sciences and disorders for undergrad, and it's the same program for my Master's, this time specializing in language and literacy. When all is said and done, I want to go into speech language pathology (speech therapy), working with kids. Very seriously considering eventually getting certified as a reading specialist as well, but that would be after I've gotten established as a SLP.

I go to Wayne State University for art education.

I'm going to be a junior this year but not really because my entire first year of classes (32 credits?) at community college are only counting as electives.

I'm British and will be starting at Cardiff University in September, studying French and Spanish which requires me to spend 6 months in France and 6 months in Spain during my 3rd year :goodvibes If anyone Americans are thinking of studying abroad, come to Cardiff, it's awesome :thumbsup2

I go to Berry College (while I'm sure you have never herd of it Berry is the largest college campus in the world at 28,000 acres)

I am a sophomore biology major and will hopefully go to med school in a few years.

I go to WVU (West Virginia University)!

I am a sophomore Theatre major with an emphasis in Acting. :)

I can't wait to graduate and work for The Mouse lol I plan on doing the CP the fall after I graduate, unless I get a seasonal position before then.

I am finishing up this December at Bluegrass Community and Technical College and starting in January at Eastern Kentucky University. I am majoring in Elementary Education. I can't wait to be done and start teaching!!

I think I want to stay in the classroom once I get my masters but I am toying with the idea of becoming an elementary school counselor. :confused3

Hey,

Great to see a thread with college students not in the DCP. I was beginning to feel a bit left out. lol I go to Cornell University, majoring in Hospitality Administration (explains my fetish for the Disboards). I'm also minoring in real estate. I'm jealous of all you southern folks. Winter in upstate NY (and my home in NH) is brutal.

hey everyone!

i go to the university of north carolina school of the arts where i'm in the filmmaking school. i'm an editing/sound major and am most interested in doing sound design for animation. i can't wait to start my senior year!

I've been going to The Ohio State University for 4 years, going back and forth between History and Information Systems. I'll probably end up doing something with IT because it pays well, but I love to travel and entertain people so who knows.

Hey everyone! I'm a sophomore at Ramapo College, a little college in North Jersey. I'm a history major.

I love Berry, it's so pretty! (Georgia, I'm assuming)

I'm at Columbus State University studying Sociology. Got about 3 long years left.

City University of New York's Brooklyn College. I'm a Film Production major. It's fun but I will never have a job. Oh well. Good times.
