The Official "We're not on the Podcast Cruise" Discussion thread

Hi everyone! I am Erika and I can't tell you how long we talked about being on a cruise at our Mother's Day cookout today. I would LOVE to be on the podcast cruise but even though I am not, still feeling lucky just the same as we arrive at WDW in 21 days to celebrate our daughters 21st birthday.

Fun things I am going to do this week while others are on the Podcast cruise; (in order of least fun to most fun) get the washing machine fixed, call the radiologist tomorrow to see if my son's arm was fractured today when he fell, catch up on work at work so you can see the top of my desk, buy a hairdryer that doesn't spark, finish ADRs for upcoming trip & graduate with my Masters Degree!

Look forward to chatting this week!

My goodness, you have a busy week! I hope your son's arm is okay:hug: and congratulations on your Master's Degree! Job well done!:cheer2::cheer2:

Hi everyone!!

I'm joining the ranks of those of us who are left behind, anxiously waiting to hear about how much fun the Podcast cruisers had. :thumbsup2

We couldn't go on the cruise because I'm 38 weeks pregnant and the silly cruise line thinks it's not a good idea for women to give birth on a ship! I think it's actually perfect! No worries about finding food, cleaning up or rocking the baby to sleep. :rotfl:

Ahh well, we do have a cruise planned for next year. Can't complain too much...just a little!

Morning all! Hope you have a great day!! :):)

Ooooohh!! hope I'm not too late to the party!!! :cool1:

no sour-graping here, of course I'm happy for all the cruisers, with their Palo brunch, Disney Institute seminar, etc... yeah we're jealous?!?!?!

in the meantime, we should have a few similar events scheduled for us non-cruisers, so we can experience it just the same:

1. McDonald's brunch
2. Symposium with a, um, uh ... New Jersey! historian, followed by a Q&A (will also make it available online, for only 5 dollars)
3. Fish sticks extenders
4. Gift baskets filled with uh ... leftover easter candy
5. Bar tours ... TGI Fridays, Ruby Tuesday's, etc.

Can you think of any more events for us? :)

I am off to school...only 11 days left and then summer!! The kids are crazy and ready for break, I think this is the hardest time of the year...

Good Morning, It's time for my medical math test this morning. I hope all of us non-crusiers have a great day.

1) McD's isn't my kind of place, but I will sit at my student's union cafe and have a sausage roll
2) I do a history degree, I can do a lecture on Britain in the 20th Century, the Second Wave feminist movement, Thatcher's Britain or the American Civil Rights movement :rotfl: I will do this for free! (good for revision)
3) mmmmm fish sticks, we call them fish fingers here!
4) You HAVE left over candy?????
5) Bar tours around the union bars sounds fun! May suggest it...

Good morning non podcast peeps!! What is on our schedule for today. I have a horticulture appointment with my lawn and mower. Also making towel animals on the Laundry Deck. LOL. OK so I have stupid sense of humor. Off to do some much needed cleaning. :rotfl:

You’ll be busy.

As executive chef, I have to dream up gourmet dishes for lunch, after school snacks and dinner…look out Palo!

What shall we do for this evening's entertainment?

How about watching Pinocchio on the Plasma TV in our "staterooms" and then some real "Disney Dreams?

I'm in! I'll order some room service (leftover chicken fingers from my fridge)

Kate ... waiting for your history lecture!
