I did love the general vibe of the hotel grounds though. And the DVC tower seemed very peaceful compared to the current holiday chaos everywhere else.

Yup. VDH and VGC both offer a different vibes. Glad they made them different experiences for more choice.

Visited VDH today to check out a studio and 1 bedroom. I liked them. I was honestly hoping I would either love or hate them.....but I think I'm in the middle at this point.

(Probably doesn't help that our son is having a bad day though.)

If I remember correctly, one of your concerns was the distance of the walk. What did you think of that?

They showed us 2 studios...Sleeping Beauty and Tiana. And a Tiana 1 bedroom.

We didn't do the full walk from VDH to the parks. But we basically timed our walk from the DTD Grand Cal entrance to VDH lobby to see how much extra walking it would be for us..Roughly 6 minutes. Not terrible really.

And our walk from Grand Cal DTD entrance to the VGC elevators was about 3 minutes.

So if you figure that, I suppose it's probably only an extra 3 minutes of walking.

Which is to say, I don't feel like the walk would factor into our decision much.

That’s what I’ve been telling people!

I think most people mentally check out once they get to the Grand Cal DTD entrance and neglect to remember how much further they have to walk to get all the way over to the DVC wing.

I got the cutest ornament over the weekend at VDH. I think it looks more like our VDH than DLH and I love that!
