@UrsulaWantsYourSoul did a great job at compiling alot of information regarding room types, views, locations, etc. if you go to the beginning of this thread. You should be able to find what you're looking for there.
As an owner here and as someone who's done 6 stays now at VDH, I can honestly say that unless you're dying for a view of the pool, the views are all pretty similar and meh at best. I'm hoping that Disneyland Forward comes to fruition similar to their renderings, because then nearly all the views will be preferred/theme park.
That's all to say, that I believe the best room requests would be based on theming. (ie: Sleeping Beauty vs Princess and the Frog). The tower isn't this massive structure like over in AK or WDW in general, so there's no major hikes to the room.
Sadly had the first failed attempt to book at 11 months this AM. I'm guessing that there is some hope to keep the waitlist as we could get lucky when they declare more rooms......

Yup, need to declare more rooms. We were there this past January. Booked two studios and wait listed the two bedroom for almost 11 months. Never came through. On a positive note, our two young twenty something’s liked having there own space.

Yea the two studio option is a good way to go. I've also considered a mix of the regular and duo garden units as an alternative as we just love that vibe out there but that point cost with no kitchen and washer/dryer is a tradeoff.
As a side question for the VDH family, odd floor studios are the Sleeping Beauty and even is Tiana?
@ehh Great floor maps. Other minor modifications…That rear west end corner studio listed at XX48 should be XX44 on floors 1-5 and the 12th floor accessible duo listed at 1217 should be labeled 1221.

Reservation / Waitlist question. Have a Friday and Sat night booked in a preferred view deluxe studio in July. Now...want to add a Sunday night. Is it better to try and book a new reservation for 3 nights in a row, or keep my current 2-night reservation and try to book 1 extra night? Regardless, I'm pretty sure I'll be getting on the waitlist.
