Have there been any room types that are hard to get at the 11-month mark? I see that there aren't that many 1 and 2 bedrooms so I was curious. I'm only resale so I can't search on the DVC site, even for fun.

1,2,3 beds are hard. Studios not as hard. Although recently I did snag a 1 bed 45 days out from our next trip.

The more people who buy in to VDH the more rooms get declared and become bookable. Right now since sales are new Disney rents those rooms for cash.

IMO, there will always be a huge shortage of villas…. but we will see…

I think you are correct. VDH is very studio heavy, and those studios only sleep 4. It’s a tough resort if your family/group has more than 4 people. The other studio heavy resorts like VGF and Poly at least sleep 5 in studio, which relieves some pressure off the 1 bedrooms villas.

Not sure why they decided to not have lock off adjoining suites, would make it much better.

I’m hopeful they can put the studios next to each other. If they can do that then we’ll be just fine. If they don’t then we’ll just have one parent and one child in each room.

Is that where you go the exact same week every year? Because we would only use VDH every third year (between VGC trips) and we don't always go the same time each year.

We're thinking we'll be doing 6 nights most of the time. But if we eventually get more points, 7 nights is a possibility if we ever end up with excess points. For now though, we're going to do 6 nights....4 park days and 1 break day.

For our January trip, we had two studios next to each other. We wait listed a two bedroom but it never came through.

There is a sales office in the Fantasyland Tower by the Fantasia Gift shop, I am sure they would happily give you a tour. Or you can usually find guides hanging out in the little lobby of the VDH Tower
