"The Official 'True Blood' Vampire Thread" ...spoilers included.

Yeah, I thought that too. She acted like Bill went on vacation or something.

Now, I'm sure the murderer will turn up in her house & Bill can't get in to save her.

I wonder if she can just shout out the window for him, while the murderer has his hands around her throat & that is enough to allow Bill back in? :scratchin

Ok, I basically did a marathon HBO On Demand watching of this show this week, and let me tell you..I am HOOKED..

I will be hitting up the library for the books..and I have not yet watched the latest episode...is it the last of the season?

Vamps rule...and I will be reading Twilight soon as well.

Just signing on here for the first time. I started reading the Sookie Stackhouse books before I heard about the series so imagine how delighted I was! I get the books through the library. I love them on CD best so I can be here too while listening.

I love the Twighlight books too.

I also have been a long time lover of vampires and all things "spooky". My older brother and I used to stay up late on Friday nights watching scarey movies.

You mean you've been glamoured.

:teeth:

Welcome both of you :wave2: and any lurkers. :surfweb: Come forward, we can smell your blood. :scared1: :goodvibes

LOL...yeah I have been glamoured..

I have heard Howard Stern talk about how great it was...and I was a fan of Six Feet Under, so I figured..why not..I never knew it was a book series till I saw it in the credits..

I myself, don't like Sookie...but I  Bill...at first I didn't, but I love the strong, "hero" types. I also think Eric is kinda cute..

Lafayette is a trip...he makes me laugh everytime I see him.

And when I saw Sam turn into a dog..I was like :scared1:

Overall, a fun show...cannot wait to watch this latest on Demand..

The Glamour pic is actually courtesy of maddhatir. :thumbsup2 :teeth:

Me too.  I'm usually not into such a blood & gore genre, and of all channels this has to show on is HBO, where they can pile it all on.

Funny...DH asked me how the show was...cause he didnt seem to want to watch it..

I told him there are a lot of 2 things...Nudity, and lots of blood and gore..

He told me he might have to check it out now..:rotfl2:

When Jason & Amy were going at it a couple weeks ago, high on V, I thought, I bet there's more nudity in this show than in HBO's Real Sex show, or at a strip show. :lmao:

I can't believe how incredibly self-absorbed Sookie was with Bill. "Well, you weren't here for me...(so I found someone who was.)" :sad2:

I wonder if Bill will have to house Jessica now, and will Sookie think he's shacking up with her? I have a feeling we won't find out till next season. :hyper:
It seems to be that Bill made a deal with Eric to keep Jessica, so I don't think that will happen.

Sookie is way too self-absorbed with herself in the series. She was all Bill, Bill, Bill in the books. WTH is it with her? She knows that her BFF is bumping nasties with Sam, so she jumps on the making out bandwagon with him? The Sookie that I know from the books wouldn't do that to a friend.

How about Eric  with fangs?

So, book readers, do you think that MaryAnn is an early introduction of the maenad? All of the clues were there in the last episode. She was naked, by the side of the woods, dirty with her hair disheveled. For all intents and purposes, I think this could be a good introduction to her, especially with Tara living with her. It would help to explain the goings on in book 3 better with this change of events now.

I thought so. I haven't read past book 3, but is the maenad a character later on in the series? I would think with Michelle Forbes in the role, they'd have something for her to do next season. :thumbsup2

Yes, I'm pretty sure she's the maenad. Interesting that they're making her more "mainstreamed" in the tv version . . .

I was totally perplexed by the whole Mary Ann thing. Who the heck is she? My first thought was that she might be a Fellowship of the Sun person. Did I miss something in the last episode that showed her by the side of the road? Isn't the maenad way later in the books? When does Claudia show up in the books? I may have to go back and do a re-read again. :lmao:

Oh and thanks, RUDisney, for spelling maenad for me so I could just copy your post. :rotfl:

She was the woman on the side of the road that Tara almost hit with her car before she hit the tree.

Don't give me too much credit for maenad. I googled it before I spelled it here. ;)

Ahh--that makes more sense. I just saw a figure--I didn't pay too much attention to who it might have been. And googling it was a smart thing to do, my friend! I'd have just mangled it and hoped it was right. :rotfl:

I was glad to see Kenya show up finally--I'd been hoping she'd show up but I want to see her boyfriend, too. What was his name?

I loved watching Bill deal with a teenager. I just wanted to say, "Welcome to my world, Bill!" :lmao: Maybe I should get Eric to come deal with my dd when she gets like that.

I'm really saddened by the death of Amy.

She had a couple of nice things going for her...

:cool2:

Her name is MaryAnn Forester so I'm thinking that she is Maenad of the Forest.
