The Official Star Wars Celebration/Last Tour of Endor Planning Thread!

Did you get your tickets mailed to you? A lot of people didn't, including people who have bought tickets online over the past month and people who are outside the US. We have to go to Registration to pick up our tickets. If you've already got yours I'd imagine that you don't need to.

Received my tickets last week, 2 Boba Fetts and 1 R2.. My daughter is so happy she has an R2 and not a Boba Fett. I assume you have your tickets you walk right in. Did the ticket price include a lanyard? I thought I read that someplace... Maybe that was for a hyperspace members.

ok, this is NOT what we signed up for when we purchased the Commitment Chapel Ceremony....

After waiting and waiting for someone, ANYONE to contact us about the wedding arrangement, I sent off an email to Kristin at Reed Expo, who is supposedly in charge of this 'event'. I told her we need to know what is going on NOW as we are planning on leaving for FL next week (as are a lot of our friends, they want to do Disney and school starts right after the con in TX)

Her response?

Wait until 'sometime' next week, when they will tell us we're confirmed for the date/time/allegiance we purchased!

I called B$, and wrote them the following back today. I hope anyone here who paid does the same:

Kristin,

You told us the exact same thing last week.

Since there is no information forthcoming until we leave for Florida next week, I regret that we will have to ask for a refund. This is NOT what we signed up for, and is very unprofessional. We realize ReedExpo has a lot on its plate at the moment, but when we purchased this opprtunity, we were told we would be contacted by the wedding planner within 4 business days, and that this would be a personalized experience. Two weeks later and still no information has been passed to us other than two emails from you stating out scheduled time, date, and allegiance, and that ANY new info won't be sent until 'sometime' next week.

I'm sorry, but that's just not good enough.

We were expecting a phone call within the 4 business days to set things up, and instead we are still waiting to find out what is going on. How can we have customised vows as offered if none are being offered to us yet? This seems more like it's going to be cookie cutter ceremonies and that's not what we spent our money on.

We will be expecting a full refund by next week.

Sorry for wasting your time,

Derek and Erika

I'd just like to point out this event was one of the first announced, way back in may. Here we are less than 2 weeks form the start of the convention and they STILL have no idea what they are doing with it.

I can't express how completely pissed I am right now, after being so excited just 6 hours ago when our convention tickets FINALLY arrived.

Ours are Mickey (x2), Goofy, and Minnie. I was just impressed that they were 'real' hard tickets when at WDW even the APs are paper. Now I'm bummed!

I think samoyed was talking about Celebration tickets rather than Last Tour to Endor tickets. Our Endor tickets are Mickey and Minnie, and our Celebration tickets are Boba Fett.

Ah. That makes sense.:thumbsup2

I'm so happy to hear other things will be open! This frees up more time for other parks. The Muppets show isn't listed as one of the open things but I'm hoping it'll be part of the "more." :) Anyone ever been to an event like this at HS? Is the Muppets show usually opened? It's right in the area so I'm hoping so :) It's my favorite HS attraction!

I really hope so, I love that show! Also, how is everyone feeling about the schedules that have been announced so far? There's so much I want to do, I've got no idea how we're going to fit it all in!

We got 2 Boba Fetts and 2 Princess Leias - love them. The paper with the tix said you can pick up the lanyards in the bins as soon as you enter the convention. Can't wait!

Official Event Merchandise is now on Disney's website.

Maybe it's just me, but I'm really not that impressed. Really blah about the tshirt. I'm making my own thanks to chaoscent over at the DISigns boards! I'm also making a tshirt to wait in the george lucas convention line that says "I waited for hours in the George Lucas line and all I got was a lousy wristband!" :lmao:

anyone else waiting overnight for the george lucas tix? I could really use a buddy for bathroom breaks! I would love to do the line thing with a DIS'er!

My DS10 and I will be attending the convention and Last Tour to Endor. We do not have a rental car. I have searched every forum and website I can find and there is NO information about what exactly will happen after the free shuttle brings guests back to the convention center after DHS closes at 1:00am. Are we then all going to have to fend for ourselves as far as getting back to the hotels? That scares me a little being a woman alone with a 10 y o that late at night. Does anyone have any info on this? THANKS!

This info was posted on the "Overview" section of the Star wars celebration web site about the shuttle bus from the convention center to the last tour to endor:

Will There Be A Shuttle Service Provided From OCCC To Last Tour To Endor (Hollywood Studios)*?

Yes, transportation will be available beginning at 3:30 PM from OCCC, departing approximately every 15 - 20 minutes. The last transfer out of OCCC will be at 9:00 PM. Return shuttles will operate throughout the event until 2:00 AM, returning guests to all official host hotels for Celebration V and the OCCC. Be sure to look out for staff wearing yellow polo shirts at the OCCC motor coach loading area and Hollywood Studios drop off/pickup location. View the drop off/pickup location here.

*Note: Not all of our coaches are equipped with wheelchair lifts. We will however have coaches readily available throughout the evening that are appropriately equipped to lift wheelchairs, if needed.

Disney announced today that there will be an Indiana Jones meets Star Wars show at the Last Tour to Endor event that sounds pretty cool. My 6 year old son loves both and should get a kick out of this.

Does anyone know how the Jedi Training at the convention works? Do you have to wait in line or can you sign up for a specific time slot?

Thanks so much!

was thinking of going somewhere like Shula's on birthday just don't know if its worth the price especially going there alone.

Shula's is amazing... don't pass it up - fantabulous!! Enjoy it - happy birthday!!

I know people are going to be waiting outside to hear the Main Event with George Lucas... But do you think the crowds are going to be as crazy for Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher talks? I am surprised they are only for 1 hour in 1 theatre.. sounds crazy hectic to me...

So how was everyone's experience? We had a blast! I've been going through withdrawals for a week now. I feel naked without my badge! RadioFanatic and whatcateydid, did you guys get in the main room for George Lucas? We weren't planning on seeing it, but DH got a text 15 min before stating that there was plenty of room in the digital theater so we watched it from there. Then we got to see him again at the Indy show on Sat night! LOVED last Tour to Endor. Totally worth the money to just walk on to TSM.
