The Official Star Wars Celebration/Last Tour of Endor Planning Thread!

I am really hoping that there will be more attractions open other than Star Tours. Don't get me wrong, I am sure that there are plans for some pretty cool stuff at the park, but I would love to know that TSM, ToT, and RnR are going to be open too. I would actually love for more than that to be open, but at the very least, those 4 rides.

Me too , except for ToT :scared1: (that ride I haven't been on and am scared to death to even try it).

I'm really hoping that there are more rides open. I think five hours of an event with just Star Tours open could get quite old quite fast. I hope they announce more info soon!

Has anyone heard it some of the other rides will be open on this special nite ?

When I booked my room when it was first announced I asked about what rides would be open and they said all attractions would be open. Now may have changed but its more than most people have found out.

(1) My brother, parents and me to Disney starting on the 6th
(2) our family's vacation home
(3) Going to Disney up until the day of the convention
(4) Both!
(5) At the convention, I preordered all my autograph tickets already. So far I have Ordered Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher,Anthony Daniels, and 5 of the $20 guests tickets. Unsure exactly who I am going to use them on-I'm a big autograph collector - www.starwarsautographs.webs.com . I also want to hit all the big panels ,especially the George Lucas one. At "Endor" I want to do everything that is Star WArs related, so meet all the characters, see the fireworks, hit up the dance parties. WE are going to HS another day so all rides will have already been done by then.
(6) @ the conventional-PREPLANNING is key. At Endor- I don't know what to expect, but I think just focusing on the Star Wars things will make it easier to do everything.

how did you order all of the autograph tix? I didn't know you could do that - where do I sign up?

Never mind, I found it. And I also learned that the George Lucas, jon Stewart main event is saturday at 11 am but they will be passing out wristbands at 6 am to get in which probably means there will be a crazy long lines starting early in the am to get them. I'm a little sad, but it is what it is.

I also wanted to sign up for the commitment ceremony, but those were gone within minutes!

I'm wondering how many people will be queueing from early in the morning, or even the night before. There are 6,200 seats in all to watch the main event, either live or on screen. Do people think they'll all go at 6? I've told the boyfriend I'm willing to get up at 4 to start queueing but I'm wondering if I'll even have to revise that. If I don't sleep at all I'm going to collapse at Last Tour to Endor!

I am a veteran to Star Wars conventions and I can tell you there are people already planning on camping out from the night before (after the 501st party) to get tickets to see George Lucas. So I don't know how bad you want to see him but you might want to take a swing by the CC the night before to check the lines! If you have a VIP convention ticket, you are guaranteed a seat in the "live" viewing area.

My husband and I are going to the convention all days and the Last Tour to Endor. Staying at the Castle Doubletree from the 11th - 16th. We originally booked at POFQ but wanted to bring our dog with us so we switched.

I am so excited but like the rest of you would love more details on the Disney event including exclusive pins and toys!

If anyone has any questions about how things work at the convention I would be happy to chime in. This will be my 4th celebration that I have been to!

Autograph tickets can be preordered at www.officialpix.com Hurry as preorders close on July 23rd, after that you'll have to get them at the convention.

The wife and I are driving in from Austin the Tuesday before the convention, staying at the Rosen Center, doing Last Tour, getting married at the Commitment Chapel (dark side of course), and then heading to Disney for 3 days after the con to take advantage of free dining during value season.

I'm so jealous you got the commitment chapel! We REALLY wanted to do the dark side too - it went SOOO fast. I just wasn't on the website at the right time.

I'm actually going to be waiting in line for my husband to get him a wristband for George Lucas. Although I would love to, I just know my 2 year old wouldn't last during the presentation; and I don't want to ruin it for others. And since this was his present, I'm willing to do it for him. I'm then going to go back with DS for a nap so I'm fresh and ready for the party!

Anyone want to take a taxi together from POFQ to the convention center? I'm thinking of leaving at 2 am to get there - do you think that's early enough? Anyone want to exchange phone numbers so we could be buddies in line together?

I feel like it's Black Friday in August!

We wanted to do the committment chapel too but when we looked at the cost and added it onto our already expensive trip, we decided not too. Will love to see people's pictures of theirs though!

Argh, yeah my boyfriend checked the Rebelscum forums and told me pretty much the same thing. Looks like we'll be spending the night in the queue! Also, RadioFanatic, you're a saint! We're staying on International Drive otherwise I'd share a cab with you.

This will be my first convention. Going with my 12 year old daughter and my Mom. So that will be Three generations. I picked the closest hotel cause my Mom has trouble walking long distances. I would appreciate any info on the Convention to keep my 12 year entertained. I will not wait in line for George Lucas.. Hopefully they sell a dvd of it. I know the convention lines must be crazy to enter at 10am, so I was hoping to go in after the crazyness. 11am ok? Any suggestions? I would like to do the lazer tag, definitely shopping, and some of the Clone Wars shows. I am trying not to plan to much, and take in what I can. I don't want o be disappointed if I can't get into something. I do not need a cranky 12 year old or 70 year old grandma so we will try to do things that are not to crazy with the lines. Does anyone know what the "family Room" is like? Yes we are doing to Last Tour to Endor, we have dinner reservations at the Beach Club and then heading over to the event by boat.

Samoyed - are you by chance a Hyperspace member? If so, you have your own entrance line. Plus they do have a handicapped entrance so if your mom needs assistance walking or is in a wheelchair, you can get in there 30 minutes early too! By 11:00 the line will be moving fast though to get in. The family room should have no lines and there should be different arts/crafts activities, jedi knight training, etc. - probably no long lines for lasertag too. Lots to look at - if you like props and costumes, make sure to check out the 501st room! The main exhibition/sales floor will be really crowded as will lines for the Celebration store and collecting panels. You should be fine though!

Thanks! He deserves it, he's a good dad; and I know it's something he REALLY wants to do but someone needs to watch our son; and he's not good with overnights - I'm used to doing them on Black Friday. We were planning on bringing our son to MK friday night after the convention. I guess once we get back to the room, we'll put him to bed and then I'm going to go to the center. Anyone want to exchange phone numbers?

Does anyone have any links to Disney exclusive items for CV or the Last Tour event? I have seen a pin set and a Donald Shadow Trooper action figure but nothing else yet.
