That's interesting because when I watch Mario dance I am totally in awe of him but I know that there is no way I could ever do what he does out on the dance floor! I get more inspired seeing a big burly guy like Emmitt learning to dance and looking so good doing it. That makes me think that there's hope for those of us who aren't born dancers!

I just want to know how they're going to get anyone even close to these two guys for next season. These two are a hard act to follow!

I always wanted to dance. I did cheerleading during middle school, but got bored after the first season and never did it again. The only thing I DID like were the dance routines. Of course, that was so long ago that we were dancing to Supersonic by JJFad. If you know of them, you're definitely a child of the 80s!

I can't imagine 3rd season being anything like this one. This was just a jewel.

Mario may have technically been a better dancer, but Emmit was a far superior entertainer.



The judges adored Marios freestyle, I thought it was awkward in more than a few places. I enjoyed Emmets freestyle way more.

I totally agree. I always enjoyed Emmit's dances. Most of the time, I just didn't enjoy watching Mario and his partner. Just didn't care for either one of them. Just didn't like the vide they gave off.

I think Emmit has come a long way and really learned how to dance without having any idea at all before. That's what I think the show is about.

I think she was a little more than ticked off - I loved it! I was so glad that Emmitt and Cheryl won, Mario might have been the more natural dancer, but Emmitt was the much more gracious dancer.

So glad that Emmitt won. I can't stand Mario, ever since he and his wife broke up because he couldn't keep his hands off of the strippers...he smug smile just turns my stomach. Yeah he was a good dancer but his ego completely turned me off. Emmitt on the other hand looked like he was having the time of his life....Go Emmitt!!!

i love watching those reactions! it was like Chris from Idol! he so thought he was going to win and when they said "you're leaving tonight" he had this look of total shock like "ME?! SURLY YOU DON'T MEAN ME!?" ......hilarious!

that's why whenever you're in a competition, you shouldn't let your ego get in the way. you should just be thinking "i'm happy just being here at this point. if i win, that's great, but i'm not expecting it!" it makes you look bad infront of public. perfect example?? Faith Hill!

OH MAN chris' reaction was priceless. but i admit, i had the SAME reaction when that happened cuz i couldnt stand kat. oh well. no matter the outcomes, not EVERYONE is going to be happy.

Mario's partner looked extremley put off by the fact that they didnt win and mario looked like that too, but he was a little more gracious than that.

She also looked that way last night after the 1st dance when E got a perfect 30 and they got a 29.

i dunno. reality tv shows always get people so rialed up. i just try to laugh it off. because if people let reality tv shows tick them off(which are mostly, not all, but mostly fake) then i feel sorry for them.

congrats to everyone on the season for even being selected to be on the show. and a super big congrats to mario and E for making it to the finals and an even bigger congrats to E for taking it all. (and to cheryl for her 2nd win in a row )

I understand. I see some people who really enjoyed Emmitt's dancing, but if you go online to some of the forums, what you see is, "I hate so and so!" or "I heard Mario cheated on his wife, so I'm not voting for him."

That's why I think I don't get along with these types of shows. Whereas some vote truly for what they enjoy, there are so many others who have biased opinions coming in and that just dooms it from the start.

It's easy to get caught up in all this, feeling happy if your favorite wins or feeling upset if he didn't win. I'm just happy there is ballroom dancing on TV at all. I used to take classes and lessons back in the 80's. Back then, ballroom dancing was on TV one night a year ("Championship Ballroom Dancing" on PBS)!

i was screaming at the tv when he lost "YES!!!! THAT'S WHAT YOU GET!! YOU THOUGHT YOU WERE GONNA WIN!!!! HAHA!!!!" lol. i hated Chris. in the beginning i liked him(i'm a rocker girl at heart.......which is strange why i ended up liking Ace lol) but then his ego just got so big when he kept getting praise from the judges. i didn't mind Kat. i knew who was going to win by the time it was down to about 8 contestants. Chris didn't have what it took, if he came down off his cloud for a minute he would have known that. even i knew Ace wasn't going to win, and i loved the guy!

Karina just looks put off, period. she just looks like a b*tch. and i didn't like the fact that Mario started getting a latino accent all of a sudden. i watched Saved by the Bell dang it!! you did NOT have a latino accent!

I think Mario is a better dancer but Emmitt seems more charismatic. Karina Mario's partner didn't look very happy, she seems phoney to me. I jjust imagine her lashing out at Mario and throwing a fit after the show. Cheryl seems nicer and more genuine. I was disappointed though, because I did want Mario to win.

I wonder what the percentage was of the votes.

You know, I was actually wondering about that, too. But then, when you see him on Extra, he doesn't have it and I wonder if he justs masks it at certain times.

I lean more toward that after finding out on that one show that he was from Chula Vista. I was in Chula Vista for a *week* and I started picking up those little hard Ls.

But one or the other isn't his real speaking voice and I'm starting to lean toward the Extra and Saved by the Bell one. I'm sure he has training and I just wish I could do the same with my accent.

I thought Mario was a phenomenal dancer but I thought Emmitt's ballroom technique was at times better than Mario's. There were some smooth dances where Mario didn't do a single heel lead in his entire routine. Emmitt wasn't as flashy a dancer as Mario but he almost always danced with proper ballroom technique. (I think that's why Len Goodman liked him so much and always gave him such good marks.)

I also thought Emmitt conveyed the joy of ballroom dancing better than any of the other competitors this season. When I used to take ballroom classes some of my friends and co-workers would ask me why in the world would anybody want to learn ballroom dancing. I would try to explain to them just how much fun it is and how good it feels when you are gliding across that dance floor. For me, Emmitt conveyed that feeling better than anyone else. And I think it's inspiring to see such a big guy (and a football player to boot!) looking so good on the dance floor and having such a good time.

And, while I really enjoyed Mario, I still feel he KNEW where every camera was, so did his partner. It turned my attention away from his dancing, albeit great. Emmitt danced for dancing, and himself, his partner and, the audience. jmho

I wasn't expecting the win tho. I thought Mario's 'base' would have won it for him. NOT COMPLAINING THO!

I'm not surprised about the win because I've been on several different DWTS boards where the tide was turning away from Mario and toward Emmitt for the past few weeks. I think Mario peaked too early and had no choice but to go down.

And I think his permanent PMS partner may have been his downfall....

Emmitt was the entire package... and face it, folks, this is like an election. The person we vote for is the person we LIKE. The way they live their life, their family, their comaraderie with their partner, this all matters. The way they come off on the camera, whether or not they can bring their fans in on a "I can relate" level... in the end it's what pushes people to the phone.

Emmitt and Cheryl were open and seemed to be very platonic, loving partners. Their relationship was of respect and honor and it showed. Not once did I get the feeling that they had a "showmance".. which by the way, makes my skin crawl... and that mattered to me. Mario and Karina's "fire and desire" relationship actually gave me the creeps. UGH... she looked like she carried a WHIP and he was her nancy boy!

Again, just my humble opinion!!

I like this show because it allows people who would've never danced on TV a chance to try it out. I cannot STAND SYTYCD because I cannot relate to professional dancers and don't care. I like to see the average Joe try his hand at it, that's why I loved Joey, Jerry and Emmitt. I loved watching them TRY and how they became better and better with each show.
