The site for the agency only shows the deal for dates up to Oct. 19, but someone in the Facebook group told me she was able to get it for dates later in the month, and gave me the email of the person she worked with. Sure enough, when I contacted that person, I was able to get it. I can PM you her email address...as I'm not sure what the rules are about posting things like that here... Fair warning though: this was a couple weeks ago, and she did say that the rooms were going fast, so I have no idea what, if anything, is still available...

We're in the same boat - hoping for a RO discount for Nov. 29 - Dec. 8th at POR. Even better would be some kind of free dining miracle PIN that covers those dates, but I'm not holding my breath!

We did find a great deal on tickets through a homeschool group, though, so we're saving a little there.

Called tonight and had FD Pincode attached to my name that included POR & POFQ.
I never received an email or snail mail for this offer
Was able to book 2 rooms at POFQ for 11/1 -11/7

She said it was exclusive to their agency, and that the quantity they had was limited. Someone on Facebook told me about it, so I got in contact with her and was able to get it. I had no idea agencies were able to get their own deals different from what's offered through Disney directly, but sure enough, it worked. I did end up switching to FD after my Mom got a pin, but it was nice to know we had a few options available, since that week has apparently become a hot travel time this year...

I think we are working with the same agency as I got a tip on Facebook too But my dates were 11/25 - 11/30...saved $800 on the BC for the 2 of us when I had given up any hope of a discount since it is Thanksgiving week. I know she had POR for some dates in early October so I am not sure if she has POR in November too.

Can anyone explain to me that if you get a advertisement from Disney and they tell you to be sure to mention package code _____ is that how you find out if you got a special RO or FD for the dates listed?

But I was wondering if the code then tells them to give me some magic?

I do currently have in my cart wishful thinking dates for Disney but didn't process all the way cause DH hasn't gave the ok yet.

Im subscribing to this thread.. We are already booked w/ FD but my parents are waiting for RO to get released.. they are already booked at Beach Club w/ FD but they'd rather have the RO discount and possibly switch to POFQ or stay at Beach Club and pay for the quick service plan.

Thanks Tinkerbella. I did end up calling and the CM told me that what I had was a rack rate and that pin codes are 16 digits. So ya, no magic for me yet.

She also said (which I remember last year) that RO usually come out sometime around July. So I guess I'm gonna wait. Although I could book FQ or POR now and then have the discount applied later.
I figured it out that if RO gets offered it will only be at max probably $20 a night and that even QS meal plan is $42 per person, so obviously the FD is a better savings but not sure I want to sacrifice where we want to stay.

I keep going back and fourth. I eventually have to just make a decision.


DH and I need to chat since no big deal discount is in our face for what we want to do.

You want Room Only discount at POR but if the discount comes out you will upgrade to Animal Kingdom Lodge?

So really you don't want RO for POR, you want RO for AKL? LOL

If the agency is the one I used, initials m v t, Igot a discount through them for Nov got a confirmation email and was able to link my reservation on mde.

We also went with the agency whose initials are m-v-t. Totally legit. Everything linked up in MDE, and when we re-booked through them with our pin code our confirmations came right from Disney.

We're also probably going to use them for our December trip thanks to a reference from this thread. I called the Disney group dept and asked if they are legit. Their response was that they have worked with them for many bookings.

I asked the agent for some references which she is working on providing.

It looks like we'll save about $560 on our package for 9 nights, 8 day tix for a family of 5. Plus a bonus water park ticket for all of us. It's not free dining, but that's a big chunk of our food budget saved!

Ended up booking a room only with m-v-t, saved 20% on POR for October 6-11. They handled everything great, quick and professional. Nice to get a discount on a standard room too since all those are unavailable through Disney directly for those dates.
