The official POR-POFQ Late October/November/December RO discount watch

RO discounts for September/early October are out and POFQ IS included. So there IS hope for all of us who prefer/needs POR/POFQ as an option.

Right now Visa Rewards lists the discount for POR/POFQ as follow

Resort Savings for stays 8/29-10/3/2014

Port Orleans-Riverside Save 25%
Port Orleans-French Quarter Save 20%

This gave me new hope we'll be able to book POFQ and get a little discount after all.

I booked POFQ yesterday and was able to get a RO discount. I'm going the end of September. Originally I was going to book WL with FD, but POFQ came out cheaper even with adding the DP to my stay.

Good for you! Even with a 20% discount is better than Free dinning at CBR to me. I'm not at all interested in changing resorts.

I hope they release the November discounts soon!

Still hoping! We will be at POR November 6-12. Not interested in changing dates or resorts so hoping for a good discount. Does anyone know when they may be releasing something? It's getting awful quiet on the boards now that FD has released.

Subscribing to this thread because I have an obsessive idea of going down the first week in November.
Ok well depending on flights I might do last couple days of October.

DH and I want to stay at POR or POFQ.
I would have booked free dining but since the PO resorts aren't included.
We considered a Value resort for the savings and free dining, but.......we would like to see the RO before we book.

Fingers crossed we hear about RO sooner than later.
The flight prices keep changing and that is another factor making me anxious.
They even changed the flight times of my local airport which messed me up.

I hope it all works out so I can move on with the rest of my life and stop obsessing with "Will I be able to go".

I got a PIN or major pixie dust, I'm still not sure, because I called and asked about FD at POFQ and I got it! The CM never actually said I had a pin linked to my email but she said I was lucky and that FD could be added to my POFQ reservation.

I saved $1,470 and could not be happier!

... subbing to see what happens with this. We are booked for FD at CBR for 6 nights, would have preferred AB at POR for 10 nights because we wouldn't have to have 2 rooms.

I don't know what the current availability is, but my TA was able to get me a RO discount at POR for 3rd week in October dates, as well as a small discount on tickets. It was a $420 savings versus rack rate on a 7 night trip, for us...

She said it was exclusive to their agency, and that the quantity they had was limited. Someone on Facebook told me about it, so I got in contact with her and was able to get it. I had no idea agencies were able to get their own deals different from what's offered through Disney directly, but sure enough, it worked. I did end up switching to FD after my Mom got a pin, but it was nice to know we had a few options available, since that week has apparently become a hot travel time this year...

The site for the agency only shows the deal for dates up to Oct. 19, but someone in the Facebook group told me she was able to get it for dates later in the month, and gave me the email of the person she worked with. Sure enough, when I contacted that person, I was able to get it. I can PM you her email address...as I'm not sure what the rules are about posting things like that here... Fair warning though: this was a couple weeks ago, and she did say that the rooms were going fast, so I have no idea what, if anything, is still available...
