Hello! I’m super excited to be staying at the Poly for the first time for Marathon weekend. We are in a standard view studio. Looking at the map, I want to request a room facing the inner courtyard, not pool or parking lot. I dont care about building or floor (unless you tell me I should lol). What is the best way to request this? Does that inner area have a name or is “facing inner courtyard” enough? Thanks!

Just confirming you have a deluxe studio resort view booked for this (longhouse, sleeps 5)?

There is a also a tower deluxe studio resort view (Island Tower, sleeps 4).

Either way Poly doesn't really have a courtyard. Based on your comment that you don't care which building you're in I am guessing it's a longhouse. Tokelau and Moorea won't have any parking lot views. Half of Pago Pago has parking lot views. Tokelau has the best location and views, but it's also the most requested.

You could probably request "landscaping view, NO parking lot" to cover all three longhouses.

Yes we are in the “older” studio resort view, not the new tower. I’m wanting to face this area, under the assumption it’ll be quieter? At VGC I almost always request “quiet view” but I’m worried that might also include the parking lot areas.

I don't think that highlighted area has a specific name.

All the DVC longhouses are near the TTC so you may hear boats. Outside of that "quiet view, no pool and no parking lot please" would be my request based on what you've shared. The pool side of Tokelau is popular because you can sneak a fireworks view depending on your room's location so outside of no parking lot this isn't as popular of a request.

I've stayed in so many rooms in your preferred area, which I think was once called RESORT VIEW as opposed to Lake View??
External sounds, like the ferry or boats MIGHT still reach you but never disturbed us.
The only other sources of noise COULD be: The amount of maintenance & Mousekeeping all day but we're fine with that knowing it's necessary.
And of course, who your neighbors are. Last 2 trips I spent 10 days in quiet bliss, only to have the last 4 days disrupted sleep once by an extended family moving into villas next door each side, across the hall & below me-Lots of balcony communication... (But at least THEY were having a great time!) & the last trip in Sep, a family arrived next door who thought playing their music/TV LOUDLY would cover up their constant arguing. Roll of the dice....
We prefer top floor ALWAYS & everywhere (except OKW)

Drip. Not the new Kuerigs, at least not as of the end of September.

They have the drip coffee makers as of September, but I requested a Keurig and they brought me a single serve model (not the duo). Since they have them in the Island tower, they are available at the PVB and can supply Keurigs if you want one.
