Just saw videos of the new rooms here. What’s up with only having one sink in the studios? This was a brand new build. That’s pretty unacceptable for a new building
Can only answer the second question. Because this time of year is cooler for some, we noticed pools at Riviera and Polynesian (Lava, Oasis, and new pool) were not busy at all. However, this is not the time of year to get a true feeling for it.If you've stayed at IT in the past two weeks, I am curious about your experience on three topics:
1) How has bus transportation to DHS/AK been? Any capacity issues?
2) Have any of the legacy areas become overly-crowded now (specifically, Lava pool or Capt Cooks)? Obviously, Lava pool was never a barren wasteland, but has it gone beyond "tolerable" now?
3) How crowded was that upper-floor, theme park view lounge area (I don't recall what they are calling it) during fireworks? It seems like that might be a popular spot.
Yes, if I needed more coffee, I just had to call to get more brought up. DVC used to charge for coffee replenishment, but they changed it back in 2017 or 2018.What happens if you run out of K cups in the room? Will they give you more if you ask??
Is there a place at the tower to get mug refills?
It does! Thank youYes, there are two freestyle Coke machines and a wash station in a little cubby area next to the fitness center/pool restrooms. You do have to go outside to access this area. There is no coffee or other hot beverages, just the freestyle machines.
From what I saw last week they opened the roll up doors at 7am each day.
Hope that helps!
Can you get coffee (for the mugs) at Wailulu Grill? There are CMs in the lobby walking around with iPads who can help with most things like check-in, magic band/key card issues, room assignments and bell services/luggage storage. The tower itself has its own bell services but your stuff can be sent/kept in either the tower or GCH. And yes, the tower has its own parking area right out front. It’s a really compact and self sufficient tower for the most part. Have an amazing trip!Staying at the Island Tower next month. For anyone who's already been or stayed, if you need any type of front desk help or check-in, that's still in the Great Ceremonial House?
Luggage services.. does the tower have its own or is this also at GCH?
Curious about parking too. I'm guessing there's parking closer to the tower and it's own entrance from the outside?
