The Official POLYNESIAN VILLAS & BUNGALOWS Owners and Fans info thread

I still can't believe theres no room details on the tower. Figured Disney would have released some info now given that people can start booking.

A little bit sparse on the theming but honestly, I prefer a more modern look with subtle theming---it just looks and feels cleaner I guess. Can't wait to see what they're gonna do with BLT!

I do like it, although I feel those studios look small, and I dislike the placement of the couch and kitchenette. The video makes it feel even smaller. Wonder what the square footage is. It's a full DVC only tower so I didn't expect much Disney theming, but this is a nice blend. My nitpick would be that white table. I hate it and reminds me of the incredible rooms

I watched the video and came straight here to see if anyone else was commenting on the layout in that studio. that kitchenette placement looks awful to me? lol, it looks SO cramped. trying to figure out if I'm just spoiled by the size/layout of the original Poly studios. I remember staying in a CC studio and it feeling super cramped. I'm also very interested to know the square footage. the one bedroom looks on the small side to me too.

Does look cramped, but does look like there are drawers under the TV instead of the pull down bunk. More storage spaces. If you need 4-5 people, then you should book the longhouse studios. If its just 2-3 people, then the Island tower is perfect. I really will like having real dishes and a dishwasher the studio!

I haven't been following closely. I didn't think they were going to have any studios. I thought it was just going to be Duo studios and then larger rooms.

Ah, thanks. I hadn't thought of that.

The studio layout looks similar to the studios at the Disneyland hotel. I don't think I care for it. I like it better when the kitchenette is set off from the beds a bit more.

Is there a toilet in the 2nd bath (off bedroom) in the 1 bedrm? It is hard to tell in the video.

I saw the video thru my Instagram account. I thought the theming and design was beautiful.

I thought the studios were great. I liked the Kitchenette and you get a small seating area. The One Bedroom livingroom look a little small, as well as the bedroom. Both the kitchen and main bath were beautiful. Oh, and two bathrooms in a 1 bedroom, now that's a plus!

I cannot wait to see the finish product of the whole resort. I think its a great addition. I hear it will have its own restaurant.

:earsgirl:

Personally, I think these rooms look awesome. Seeing everything that has come out about these rooms and this tower in the past few weeks has made me feel like I won the lottery by having a Poly contract. We had originally planned to take next year off from WDW, but I'm thinking we may have to throw another trip in for next spring break (we work in public schools), just to stay for a few nights in one of these studios. I'm such an old man, that dishwasher had me pumping my fist today!

I would definitely use our BRV points to try and stay at the 7-month mark some day. But I have a feeling the points chart will be too rich for my blood!

Yeah, I think we're going to be looking at point charts higher than VGF and RIV, unfortunately. That said, my thinking is that because the Island Tower point charts are likely to be higher, the existing studio point charts should stay about the same, even if they try to adjust for the bungalows to come down a bit.
