Z- I meant to say that I am glad you got to have a Birthday lunch with your friend at Chili's today! Love Chili's! Esp with friends!

Kim- I'm so sorry you had a horrible, rotten day. :guilty: I hope that things with your DH are resolved, and I will be thinking and praying for your Aunt. Please keep us posted on her condition.

Joats- I LOVE the growth chart. Every time Tamie posts I consider if I should get one or not....Tamie, you have talent! I love the pic of Jace standing in front of it like, "Hey, lookie what I got!" :goodvibes

Dizagain- I'm glad the swaddlers are working out for you. I think they are part of the Pampers sale this week, where if you buy two of the $17 packs, you get a $5 gift card. Not bad!

I try and cook dinner Sunday thru Thursday, and then I flake off usually for Friday and Sat. We usually order Chinese on Friday and then go to lunch on Saturday and eat leftovers on Saturday night. I've been getting good at meal planning on Sunday, shopping and then sticking to it if it's posted on my fridge in front of my face what to cook. If I don't do that, then it's 555-pizza!

GLT- glad your DH is home- those were some serious antibiotics they gave him! My DH once had an infection in his leg and had to be on antibiotics all night at the hospital- those blood infections are no laughing matter.

Love that the officer said 'move it' to you! Yikes! I think I would have cried! :rotfl:

Nucpharm- I HATE flat tires! Ugh. Thank god for AAA is right. I had one when DH was in Iraq, I was on the other side of town, and DS was due home from school within the hour. Luckily AAA came lickity split and I made it home in time, but I was sweating it!

Aw, Jill, you certainly have my sympathies. I have to say again, I'm in awe of you! Like I said, the ONE chemistry class I took to see if I wanted to try nursing school a few years ago totally did me in. I was working PT then, but only had 2 kids. It was hard to find ANY time to study, and at least that was a course where there were no papers, projects to do...just studying. I bow down to you, and YIKES on the $1700 a class! Might as well get it over and done with I guess. :grouphug: We will continue to cheer you on! :cheer2:

GM- I *hate* hovering moms like that. Ugh. Nosy neighbor is a bit like that and it's like, "Um, your child is no more special than anyone else's- BACK OFF." I wonder whose Mickey lights will go up first- I'm betting yours! I feel like mine are going to sit in the basement until I throw a minor fit about it; or ask my dad, which will embarrass DH.

lissa- did anyone show up for the meeting? Has the bank approved your loan yet? I hope it happens SOON!

Well, I watched most of the conclusion of that 9-11 movie on ABC. I finally walked out of the room toward the end. It still just makes me sick- amazing how 5 years has past, and yet rewatching it still makes my stomach knot up and I feel like I cannot speak. And I watched it from so far away; I'm sure those of you on the east coast have even more vivid memories. My only connection to the whole ordeal is that the Todd Beamer guy on Flight 93 went to my old church at one point; I do not remember him though, as he was several years older than I. :guilty: :guilty: :guilty:

OK, well, I just wanted you all to know that I love you all like sisters and I am glad we have each other in this crazy world. It's nice to have a cozy place to retreat to a couple times a day.

Robin~ Dh and I watched that 9/11 movie too. I have been such an emotional mess all day over 9/11 and I also watched it from afar since we live in Mississippi. I have a 2nd cousin that lives in NYC and her dh worked on the 90th floor of the 2nd WTC but he got out and is okay. I've never met either of them though even though we are related. I made it through most of the movie up until the very end. At the scene with Deena Burnette talking on the phone with her dh and him telling her that they are going to crash the plane and then telling her that he loves her, and then her crying, and sitting with her 3 girls...OMG, I completely lost it and I'm tearing up just thinking about it again! I can only imagine how hard that movie would be to watch for someone who actually lost a loved one during it! Even dh was a little choked up. :(

Jill~ I completely understand where you are coming from with school and I only have 1 child to deal with while I go. I feel like my whole life consists of a recipe of 1 cup studying, 1/2 cup assignments, with just a pinch of time for dh and Kylie and rarely any time for myself! It will all be worth it in the end though, right? That's what I keep telling myself when I have a stupid critical thinking assignment that has me cursing out loud!

And your daycare is outrageous! I pay $140 a month for part-time daycare here. Of course the cost of living is MUCH cheaper here than where most of you other mommies live, but that means we receive less money on payday as well.

joats~ I LOVE the growth chart! Jace is so cute standing next to it!

Tamie~ I hope Tyler's bite is improving! I have had both mosquito and spider bites that have hardened like you described. How much do you charge to do the growth charts and how much would shipping be? I am seriously considering having you do one for Kylie in the future!

Loretta~ You look great, just as good as Ms. Cheerleader! Your view was amazing! I would love to stay at the BW but it isn't in our budget this time. I will settle for POFQ though! I do love the BW's bakery as well! YUM! I think Cameryn looks a lot like her daddy and older brother. I love her Minnie Mouse outfit!

GLT~ I hope your dh feels better soon!

nucpharm~ I'm glad you got your tire taken care of! I hate it when that happens!

J & D~ Today had me really, really appreciative of all that I have and of those that I love!

GM~ Moms like the "hovering" mom really get on my nerves! I've dealt with my share and am sure I will deal with many more throughout Kylie's childhood!

DisKim~ I hope tomorrow's a better day! I started staying home alone at Emmy's age and I also kept my younger brothers some. One brother was on oxygen and my parents left him with me on occasion so I am sure Emmy will be just fine! I can understand your apprehension though. I am sure I will be a wreck when Kylie gets to that point as well.

Hi to everyone else!

I bought Kylie's Halloween costume at Old Navy this weekend. I tried a couple of different ones on her and dh and I both thought she was too adorable in the cowboy outfit so that's what she will be. It completely made me forget about the leopard one I posted a while back. We bought the cowboy hat from Gymboree. And Robin, are you sitting down for this? That is the 1st and ONLY thing I have ever bought there! I love their clothes and look at them all the time but Kylie never seems to need clothes (thanks to the grandparents) so I have never bought anything. I probably will once she goes up a size but she has been in the same size since she was 7 months and it doesn't seem like she is going to outgrow it any time soon so we'll see. I swear the child who was 9 lbs 7 oz at birth takes forever to grow and is a little runt these days!

Anyway, I still have to buy Kylie some cowboy boots but am having the hardest time finding them small enough! I'm still looking though! She just got into an infant's size 4 and the smallest size I have found anywhere is a size 5. If worse comes to worse I guess I can buy them a size bigger and put extra socks on her.

We also went to The Children's Place and I found the perfect t-shirt for her. It had a chipmunk on it and it says something about Chippie's cookies or something like that. She is obsessed with Chip and Dale (she had them with her when we went as a matter-of-fact...they are like Madison's stuffed gator and they go everywhere with us these days!) so she went nuts for the shirt and I bought it. I was so excited when I saw it!

Anyway, I should be in bed but I still have quite a bit of studying to do. Kylie and I both are a bit sick again and I haven't felt like doing much so I haven't studied nearly enough. And I have 4 quizzes tomorrow! And I only have 3 classes...you do the math...sigh! Here it is, nearly 1 in the morning, and I am just now getting around to it! I will be beat in the morning! Have a great Tues. everyone! (Oh, and please ignore any grammatical/spelling errors! I am sick, exhausted, and my brain is fried from so much schoolwork these days! I thought school was supposed to make me smarter, lol!)

Tasha - is the book that Kylie has in your signature picture a singing Pooh book that goes " A sunny funny story book, such a wonderful place to look" etc etc? It looks just like the one that Shelby has and she LOVES it!

Hi ladies. It's 8:20 and I know that by the time I get to respond to you all the time will be much later. Darn work is getting in the way of me posting!

The meeting yesterday was very interesting. The boy's dad and stepmom(?) came to the school and the mom was on the phone in IN. Basically, mom made excuses for him while dad listened, rolled his eyes, and got in so good barbs. Apparently this boy punched a student in the nose last week. The punchee was too scared to report him. The "angry" student has also been threatening boys at his lunch table and told one he was going to stab him. I put in my .02 about his lack of effort in class, etc. Again, mom made excuses, dad rolled eyes, blah, blah, blah.
I understand that he's being pulled from my class and will be in the emotional support room for LA. Dad also brought him back to school in the afternoon (he wasn't here yesterday) to discuss the punching and threats with our principal. Maybe he got suspended? I'll find out when the announcements come around a little later.

The cat hid on me and didn't want to get in the carrier. Then the vet detected a slight murmer (sp?) in his heart. She thinks it may have been from the commotion of getting him there.

I'll be back in a bit to finish up my posts!

The boy is on OSS! I guess something must have come of his meeting with the principal and he is gone. I'm guessing that he got 10 days out if he actually punched a student and threatened others. Also, assault charges are filed if he punched someone.

Last night at dinner, Jimmy was being kind of a pill. I gave him some pieces of meatloaf, which he shoved in his mouth. He started coughing/hacking, so I stuck my finger in his mouth to remove the food. Then the crying started. Dinner was over for him after that. A little while later, while I was washing the dishes, DH is feeding him yogurt. From out of the depths of his highchair, Jimmy must have found some old, dried up pea. He eats it. Immediately DH gets all worked up. Can you believe my husband actually suggested that it was some kind of bug coccoon? If I would have had a fry pan in my hand, I most certainly would have hit him with it. Yes, my house is infested with bugs and their cast-off homes.
I swear ladies, I don't know what in his upbringing (except for his crazy dead grandmother)made him think or say these things.

I'll be back later to catch up with you. I've gotta get back to work.

Alice- I’m so glad to have you moms too. Sometimes this thread helps me slow down and keep my sanity! I’m glad I skipped the 9-11 movie because I never would have made it though. That, and I have no time to watch TV lately :(

Tasha- I bet Kylie will make an adorable cowgirl!

Lissawynn- wow that student sounds like one bad apple. LOL about your DH and the dried up pea. That sounds like something my DH would get upset about.

We woke up this morning to a pretty cold house. Poor Olivia had frozen little fingers. DH spent probably 40 minutes figuring out how to put the heat on. It’s such an adventure learning all these house things that we know nothing about. So now the heat is on. I’m not sure exactly how to turn it off or lower it (to save oil), but that’s something to worry about later.

Olivia woke up, nursed and fell right into a milk coma. So I’ve been able to make her breakfast (barley again), start some laundry, and eat a bagel. I’ll try to check back in later!

:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2:

lissawynn,

A bug coccoon?? That one had me laughing. I admit, I get paranoid when Kona puts something in her mouth that I don't know about but your post is just too funny.

I'm glad that kid is gone. People shouldn't have to put up with stuff like that, period.

ginamarie,

Sorry about your heat. I can send you some sunshine from Florida if you want. Is it that cold up there already?? :grouphug:

Tasha,

Hi there :wave2: It was good to hear from you. Kylie's Halloween costume sounds adorable.

Not much to report here this morning. I managed to go to Target last night by myself. I wasn't going to sit here and watch DH watch 2 football games. So, he took care of the kids and I went shopping.

I also hit the mall and picked up some goodies for my buddy. :yay:

I then drove home when it was dark and realized how much I hate driving at night. It has become such a problem for me the last few years. All the lights kind of mesh into eachother and it scares me. I really need to get my eyes checked.

I'll check back later. Have a great day!!

Good morning!

I am dazed and confused this morning- I sat up straight in bed at 6:55 (without the alarm going off) and got up and got Sam ready. But I'm still feeling incredibly foggy and almost a little dizzy. I am taking a new prescription to try and prevent the migraines from coming at all, and it lowers your BP and heartrate a bit. I need to go to the pharmacy today to do a BP check to make sure I'm normal.

I don't drink coffee, but maybe I will crack a D. Pepsi already to wake myself up.

FF- I don't like driving at night anymore either, and I already wear glasses! I just feel like I have to strain a bit- and therefore I already feel like a gramma. I must say, I've noticed since I've been a SAHM, I *rarely* am out driving at night anyway as I do all my errands in the AM. Weird.

I'm glad you got some shopping done- hope it was fun! I was in this kitchen store yesterday where I found some stuff for my buddy, and they had they COOLEST Halloween decor! I wish I could have spent $50 on her....and they had the most unique candles- one smelled EXACTLY like black licorice! I thought it smelled good, but wasn't sure if my pal liked that smell.

Tasha- I hope you do well on your quizzes today! That part of the movie you described got to me too...I cannot imagine having that sort of conversation with a loved one.

GM- Glad you figured out how to get the heat on! It's starting to get nippy in the AMs here too, but then is back up to 80 in the afternoons. I have to send Sam off in layers to school.

lissawynn- a bug cocoon? :lmao: That's a good one. And your DH looks perfectly sane in your siggie pic! :rotfl2: Glad troublemaker kid is gone- that must be a relief!

No plans on the docket today. I need to get to Target at some point this week, but I'm not sure if I want to go today or not. But I'm afraid of waiting too long and all those gift card deals will be gone if I wait til Friday. hmmmm.

TTYL!

I had a whole post typed out and this evil computer just deleted it :badpc: :badpc: :badpc: .

Well, hello to everyone and I'll have to try to retype it later.

Yes, it is! Good eye, Gemma! :thumbsup2 Kylie has had it since she was 7 months old. It was a Christmas present from my mom and Kylie is obsessed with that thing. I cannot even tell you how many batteries we have gone through for that thing! As a matter-of-fact, it needs batteries yet again and Kylie was upset yesterday because it wouldn't sing for her. I guess I'd better run to Wal-mart after class and get some for it. And oy, now I am going to have that song in my head all day, lol!

Well, sorry that I can't do more catching up but I am still in class and need to review a little more for my final quiz of the day. I have taken 2 so far and 1 was postponed until Thurs. so I got a breather from that one. I have that quiz Thurs., another quiz, and a major test and probably a quiz in this class as well but we haven't found out yet. That is not counting the 3 homework assignments from my other 2 classes and whatever she might give us in here as well! This is pretty much how my schedule is for every time I have classes. I'm telling you ladies, they actually want me to WORK for this degree! :sad2: ;)

The good news is that I have made 100s on all my tests and all of my quizzes except 1 (which I made a 95 on) and 100s on all homework assignments to date! I have the highest GPA in my class right now and I am pretty proud of that since I am really, really working my butt off to obtain it! At least it is paying off since I have never been dedicated enough to study this much in the past! Okay, well, I'm off! Have a great day! :wave2:

Hey ladies. The craziness of the day is almost over. What a strange day. One of our enrichment students was suspended for three days for sexual harrassment. We can't get specifics, but apparently he was "touching other boys". I don't think I want specifics.
I am supposed to begin my cursive writing lessons today with the students who "claims" he can't write in cursive. I'm betting that he won't show up. I've just recommended him to our academic referral team since his average is really low. I think it's more of a motivational issue than anything else.

Alice - I hope you're feeling better. I was checking out my ugly formica last night as I was cleaning up dinner and it all matches. All of those ugly gold sunbursts...I just want to get the sawzall and cut it off. We looked at the Corian stuff a few years ago and it would have cost about $3000 to do our kitchen. They have certified installers who have the tools needed to put it in, so you can't just hire anyone to do it.
Btw, DH does LOOK normal. That's the deception of it all.

Tasha - I'm glad school is going well for you and that you're making great grades! Kylie's costume sounds great!

Hi Kim! Hope all is well at school. Keep us posted on how things are going for you at home. Did you DH hear anything about that college position?

floridafam - I also have terrible night vision. I rarely drive at night. I am dreading my final dr. appointments b/c by the time I head home, it will be dark. It's just too bad my group is almost an hour away.

Ginamarie - I hope you have figured out how to control your heat. Oil has gone down considerable since we pre-paid $2.59 a gallon for it, but who knows what it will cost in the winter.

GLT - How is your hubby today?

Jill - Sorry about the terrible commute from school yesterday. Will you be having a fall break soon?

Hi to nucpharm, zalansky, hillbeans, dizagain, BnB, fabumouse, justthat, DisPhD, and all you moms.

I'm gonna get back to school stuff.

Hi Mommies,

I've got to go get the kids from school. DS10 wants to go to the mall and get a book that comes out today (Artemis Fowl-The Lost Colony-in case any of you with older kids are looking for a good series.)

I really don't want to use gas to go way to the mall and back so we'll see.

The school is having open house for the older grades tonight so we have to go to that.

I hope everyone is having a good day. :thumbsup2

I'm kind of having one of those mornings that nothing is getting done...Molly is in a GRUMPY mood and it's really starting to get on my nerves. So far I have....vacuumed...showered....made breakfast and now made her lunch. And that's all. I got the floors all prepped for the hardwood cleaner, but she keeps screaming or whining or crying. I don't know what her issue is. :confused3

Tasha- WTG on the good grades and keeping motivated! Good for you! :woohoo: :cheer2:

DisKim- Hope to hear from you more later---dumb computer! :badpc:

lissa- good thing your countertops match! I know the Corian will be a very pretty penny when we do it, but when we do our kitchen, we only need to do the counterops, sink and cabinets. The flooring is fine. I'm hoping to keep it in the $8K range, as I know the white cabinets are not as expensive as oak or cherry. I mean, we *could* stand to replace the appliances, at least the fridge, but it's not a must at this point in order to keep costs down.

FF- I'm debating going out too. The thing is I am technically broke until Thursday....I spent my last extra $$ yesterday, so why tempt myself at Target. I'm just wanting to get out of the house, and yet there are things that need to get done around here. I think I'm just a little antsy getting used to 2 of the kids being at school- not quite in a groove yet or something.

How far is the mall from you? We're lucky in that one is about 10-15 minutes from here. Scary alert for me though- a new store called Pumpkin Patch just opened last week and I walked in it yesterday. It's quite cute. :sad2: It's an interesting store- I think it's originally European or Australian as it has those prices on the tags, but it features not only baby-toddler-kid sizes, but maternity as well! I thought that was fantastic marketing- rope in mothers for the maternity clothes, and start them drooling at the baby stuff! The style is a little different- I think they have a website- www.pumpkinpatchusa.com if any of you want to see. I think according to their catalog I grabbed, it's west coast only at the moment. That's a switch! It seems things always start on the east coast!

I showed my mom that house DH and I have been thinking about the last 6 weeks or so. It's still on the market, hasn't budged. I think it's a bit too expensive for the neighborhood ($370). I told my mom we could only afford it if it went down to $300 and she said, "offer that!" I just don't think they would go down that much in price. But it's so tempting to think of all that extra space. :cloud9: We're going to keep watching it though. Again, the thought of moving almost makes me ill, so I don't even know why we talk about it. This is the house though, if you want to take a peek_ http://www.johnlscott.com/PropertyDetail.aspx?GroupID=31103384&ListingID=26257463&Sort=0

Tasha- I have a brown pair of size 4 cowboy boots that you can borrow if you can't find any. I say borrow b/c I would like to have them in case we have another child. Like you said they are hard to find in smaller sizes. I've seen boots at Sears, JcPenney, and Gymbo here recently. Hope you did well today. Feel better soon.

lissawynn- Funny story about the bug coccoon.

Ginamarie- I wish it was cool enough here for us to have to turn the heat on.
What is the temp there?

floridafam- I have the same problem while driving at night.

DisKim- Hope you are having a good day. Has the honeymoon period with your students ended yet, or do they still seem to be a pretty good bunch?

Alice- Hope you are feeling better this afternoon. Jenna's Tink costume arrived yesterday. I wish that it had snaps in the crotch. I have to say that I HATE the taste and smell of black licorice.

Gems- How was work the rest of the day yesterday?

I checked the DIS Mom's Directory yesterday, and it looks like we have more birthdays coming up in a few weeks (Kim- 10/2, GLT- 10/3, and Val- 10/9).

Hi to all other DIS moms!

Alice- You don't want to know what a house like that would cost around here! I still can't believe what we paid for our house, and it's a good deal smaller than that.

J&D- The day temperatures are pretty nice right now, but at night it was in the lower 50s. So we had one of those early morning chilly houses this morning. You know, when it's 5 am and you're so warm and comfy under the covers that there's no way you're getting up to go to the bathroom no matter how badly you have to pee?

I'm absolutely amazed, but Olivia has been sleeping for about three hours now! She was babbling to be in the car on the way to the office, we played a little in between my phonecalls and then she nursed herself to sleep. I didn't think dad and I would get through lunch before she woke up, but here we are at 3:30 and she's still out! Of course the office is a FREEZER today and I wrapped her up in my sweatshirt so that she wouldn't get cold. I've got goosebumps in the meantime. :rolleyes1

Good afternoon, everyone! I finally, FINALLY got Luke to sleep, for the fifteenth time, right as Jocelyn was walking in the door! No break for me today! Oh well, preschool for Celeste again tomorrow--I'm debating whether I should go to the grocery store then, or Thursday and then clean tomorrow. I guess it'll depend on how Luke is doing. He's been real gassy today, which is why he hasn't slept more than 5 minutes at a stretch, unless I'm holding him.

Tasha--That's great about the grades. i think older students are much more motivated, as a group, than younger ones. They feel more that they have $ at stake, plus you really want to go into the field you're studying. That's been my experience, anyway. BTW, I think Kylie will make an adorable cowgirl.

Robin--If it makes you feel better, the house we live in now was my dream house for years. It came on the market way above what we could afford. I waited, it didn't sell, came down in price...still high, but close enough that I went to an open house. I came home and told DH, "This is a house we could grow old in!" He reminded me that the price was too high, and that we agreed not to house shop until he finished his degree (a few months off at that point). Well, when his degree was finished, the house was still on the market--and close to our price range! They ended up taking our offer for our top figure. So, we now own a locally historic home, 4000 sq. ft., used to be a bed & breakfast. It needs a lot of updating, which we plan on, but why make it too nice when we have little kids? So, you know what's going ot happen, when we can afford all the updates, we won't need the room--but I love this house, anyway. So anyway, my point was, keep the faith, it may all work out.

Gina--I agree with you on not watching the 9-11 stuff. DH and I were volunteer firefighters for years, and we underestand the mind set of the people who went in as the crowds were rushing out. It hits very close to home. Maybe in another 5 years, I'll be ready. BTW, what you call a "milk coma", in this house, we call a "booper". That's short for a "b00b stupor".

Alisa--I hope things mellow out for you at work after today. What a mess!

I hope to go shopping for my buddy soon. I confess I picked up a couple things "on spec" while at WDW, and I think they'll go over well, but I also want to get a couple local things. Unfortunately, farming is our big local industry--anyone want a cow? Milk or beef? Or a Christmas tree...

I have to run, the gang's awake. Hi to everyone! I hope glt's DH is feeling better!

Jimmy fell asleep in the way home from my dad's. He didn't nap all day. I'm going to let him sleep until 6 so DH and I can eat in peace. I just have to get dinner started. I'm making cheese steaks and a salad.
I have my 18 week appointment tomorrow. I just hate driving an hour to and from the drs office. I haven't heard a thing about my quad screen, so I guess everything is ok. I'm sure if there was a problem, I would have heard from them by now.

Alice - The house is really nice. I love the hardwoods. Something like that would probably go for about $275,000-300,000 depending how much land it was on. Maybe it is the house for you? If it keeps sitting empty, you could just make an offer and see what happens.

Ginamarie - How nice for Olivia to sleep so you could get some work done. I'm thinking we might have to turn on our heat tonight. The house is kind of cold now and it's been shut up all day.

BnB - Sounds like you've got a full plate! I hope you can sit and relax sometime soon.

floridafam - I know the Artemis books are popular with our middle schoolers. Have fun at open house tonight. Mine is next Monday. Bleh. Who schedules open house for a Monday?

 J&D!

I'm going to get dinner started! TTYL!

quick prayer request-

this is kind of an odd request- on the Gymbo message boards, I sorta bonded with a gal who also loves DL. (I tried doing a meet with her at DL, but we kept missing each other!).

Her DH was admitted to the hospital on Sunday for an infection and it's taken a turn for the worse. He almost lost his leg, and they just admitted him to another floor as his liver and kidneys are shutting down. They're starting dialysis, but I'm just really scared for her and her children. She has two grade school aged kids, a boy and a girl.

Please just say a prayer for MaryLou and her DH if you are so inclined.

Hi ladies! I don't have time to catch up properly since I really need to sit down and pay bills. I am thinking of all of you though.

Robin - That house looks really nice. Good luck with it. I hope it comes down in price for you.

J&D - My kids are still very good. I had one say "prostitute" yesterday and I read him the riot act after class. I figured he was trying me out by making silly comments about the story and I needed to stop it right away. I would say that if that is my biggest problem so far, I'm doing very well.

lissawynn - DH has an interview next week. I highly doubt he will take it if it is offered to him though. First, I don't think a community college can match what he is making now. Also, he would lose 100 sick days and really great benefits. He's happy that he got the interview though. I think it makes him feel wanted.

Tasha - You go girl :thumbsup2 . You must be so proud of yourself. Your scores are so AWESOME!

Robin - That story is just awful. I'll keep them in my prayers.

GLT - How is your DH feeling. I'm sorry he is so ill.

Well, I really need to pay those bills now that the kids are finally asleep. Between work and the kids' 50 million activities, I'm never going to get in any DIS time any more.

Jill - I used to live in Northern Virginia as well, and was amazed at the cost of things until we moved to Manhattan. When I was looking at law schools, the University of Virginia's total annual tuition was something like $3000 for in-state residents. Maybe you need to move further south. :teeth:

Justhat - how's Henry's rash?

Hi J&D and GLT!

Ginamarie - I would never remember to heat up the sink! I'd probably ruin it within weeks. We were too cold last night as well - and I left the window open so poor Madeleine's hands were icy this morning. :guilty:

Lissa - that bug comment was hysterical! Don't you hate how Dr. offices never call to give you information? Madeleine had a blood test last week for her bilirubin levels and I'm just assuming they're fine since I haven't heard anything.

FF - I have special glasses for driving at night. I cannot find them right now, but I *have* them. :thumbsup2

Tasha & Scott - congratulations on the great grades! Sounds like you've been working hard.

Robin - I do believe Starbucks started in Seattle. :thumbsup2 Love the spiral staircase! Make an offer!

My allergies have picked up like you gals would not believe. My allergist and I had a difference of opinion last winter about this because he kept trying to blame it on the pregnancy - even though the allergies started in September and I got pregnant in November. Grrrrrrrr! Anyhow, I'm miserable and irritable and just took my first dose of Allegra for the season.
