A macro is a program that you use to do a complex number of tasks with one click or letter.

If you are wondering how staff types so fast, the answer is shortkeys below is a link to a download of a basic shortkeys program, i do not know the limitations of it. Please do not download anything if you do not trust the website.

When you have the program open it and it will activate all the macros that you have created with it. This macro program is for keyboarding.

I knew that staff used hot keys but I never set them up myself.

I just did it was EASY and...

I used it for the one time use codes for mules and OMG it worked

so rather than a code I just use 3 letters and the whole thing is entered.

No more mistyping!

Just as a little warning before people go dashing out and using this, to quote from the VMK values under the Must Not section:

"Use ANY hacking, scripting or editing program with the game."

As hot keys is a macro program it falls into the area of a scripting program.

Just giving you the information before a flurry of "I was banned" posts.

I've used shortkeys in the game- downloaded it for the ride competition since we had lines to say in base camp...

made life much easier- and then we added in some fun things into short keys-

It was my understanding the staff was specifically asked about it and it was okayed-

I haven't used mine for codes- but may since I have a few born in park characters that do not have any of the codes entered yet- and it would be easier to enter once in short keys and then for those- but I don't anticipate much more muling... so I wouldn't leave the codes in all the time.

How do you get up there (stairs on fireworks)
Trade requests
and probably a few other things like

"If you are bored go read a book"

I already have:
"Feel free to feed the Hippos"
and "My other pants are cheat toes pants"

and most of my ride script is still there but not for long...

I asked HOST_Bella last week if Short Keys were allowed. She said there fine as long as you don't say anything bad.

Yes i think this will let u say words that are not allowed.

It is like in a game called runescape where u cant say "www" or "com" bc they dont want u to talk about other sites.But some player kept on saying the same thing about advertising a website and somehow typed really fast.

I guess i know how he did it now.

Yes. I've known about staff using them for a while now. I've also used it for a while for entering codes on mules. They are great!
Just remember when the program is open and you're not on vmk. If you're in the middle of doing something else and the program is open, if you use the right keys, it can mess up whatever you're doing.

are you using shortkeys lite? or which version?

I would recomend NOT using this program or any like it within VMK. This is against values and can get you a permenant BAN. I speak from experience. Don't use this program or any like it. Just because Staff may or may not use it, does not mean we as players are allowed too.

To warn the mac users, it is not a mac program. Unless you have the new intel and downloaded window xp on it, and booted up that way then go right ahead..... but who wants windows Unless there is a mac program out there... Hey be do you know of one?

Just A Reminder That VMK Does Not Support 3rd Parties -- Meaning Programs Within VMK Like Shortkeys And Other Things... I Guess VMK Pal Was Approved Though. So Remember They Said That If Shortkeys Are Being Misused Actions Will Be Taken, And The Only Reason You Should Have Them Is For Games

I don't believe VMK Pal is officially approved. I think it may be the reason for my permanent ban. I don't have confirmation as they won't respond to contact us. However if you read the VMK values it states NO programs can be used with VMK and Pal is a program.
