wow! I would LOVE a trip that long!! I may have to wait until my kids are out of the house and its just DH and myself!!

DERN!!! I'm also sorry it was a typo!! That would have been an AWESOME trip!!

I always tell DH that if we win the lottery I'm headed to WDW for a month and he always says that it would be to long of a trip - how can he even think that? There would be SO MUCH to see/do!!

WHAT??!! I've never thought of using Pinterest for WDW!! I've mainly used it for food and craft ideas - ugh...I'm horrible!!

What kind of fabulous ideas are you getting off of Pinterest??? Please share!!

Mostly just pins about park food and planning tips and the like.

I have created 8 different secret boards. Park Tips, General Planning, Clothes and Packing, Scrapbooking & photo tips, Food, Souvenirs, Magic bands, and Shirt graphics

The magic bands board is mostly pics of bands that people have decorated with paint or stickers and the shirt graphics is pics I am going to print out and design our own shirts with.

I have themed shirts planned for us for each day... I'm going to do Finding Nemo, Monsters Inc, Toy Story, Alice In Wonderland, Princess and the Frog, Up, and Mulan shirts and a set with Mickey, Minnie and Daisy duck.

Those are gonna be fun to work on and keep secret. I might have to bring all my stuff up to work and do them at lunch every day for the next year.

We're just back from a wonderful trip and already planning another. My daughter and I both teach, so it's school holidays for us. Waiting anxiously for prices for next year. My TA said next year's bookings will probably open up in July, I hope so, I'm ready to book.

Do they normally come out July 1st so I only have 6 days to wait, or are we talking like mid-July so I have 3 weeks to wait??

oh, and since I have some "time" before booking the June trip, DH and I have talked a little more about the specifics of the trip since he knows I"m dead serious about booking it the day we can...

We've decided on:

headed to WDW: Saturday, June 6th - earliest, direct flight on SW we can get!!
headed home: Friday, June 12th - about a 1-2pm flight on SW...

that's 6 nights and 6 days!!

Probably going to book the BW!!

Definitely booking DxDP - and I've narrowed down most of the dining, but depending on what ADRs are available for what days, there is some wiggle room in the plan...like can I get a dinner ADR at BOG on our arrival day (Saturday), or will it be on Monday when we're back in MK for the 2nd half of the day??

I thought (hoped) that DH would buy into the whole idea of 7 days of tickets and do a 1/2 park day on our "going home day" but he nixed that one - he doesn't want to get up, pack, haul luggage downstairs to go to HS for 2 hrs to then eat lunch at 50's Prime Time (as requested by the boys), come back to the hotel to catch DME 3 hrs prior to a 4-5pm flight..and head home all sweaty and covered in sun screen from the mornings activities...

I mean, that sounds like a reasonable morning, right??

instead, we'll just finish packing, go eat breakfast at either YC, BC or BW, then head back to the room, let the boys swim, change and then head to DME 3 hrs prior to a 1-2pm flight..

Less rushed and a less grumpy DH....always makes for a smoother day!!

We're hoping to do our first ever Disney Cruise leaving Port Canaveral on May 29 for 3 nights on the Dream heading to the Bahamas. Probably will be booking that soon. Excited!

That would bring us back in on June 1, so we're thinking of doing the 1 to 7 at WDW (hopefully GF). Can't wait to book both when WDW 2015 rates are released! Better start saving now though as we'll be going before then still.

I just sent a request to join the Facebook group. Just got the school schedule in the mail so it looks like our arrival date will be 13 Jun 15. Still haven't decided where we are going to stay, although we are leaning toward Wilderness Lodge this time.

You guys are so brave who vacation on cruises!! My sister keeps trying to talk myself & DH into one, but I have a "thing" (aka: irrational fear ) about sharks, whales & boats sinking so I can't see me going on one for a while!!

and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the WL!! We stayed there our first 2 trips and we will be back there! My biggest issue with staying there now is we have 2 boys who will be 15 (almost 16) and 13 when we go back next year..and they have a "no touching" rule while sleeping and therefore need separate beds - which would usually work out well since WL has bunk beds - and we did book those on our 2 stays...HOWEVER my currently-growing-like-a-weed 14 year old is already 6' 2" and I can't even fathom how tall he'll be next summer and I cant see him scrunching into a bunk bed...

so, that means booking a hotel that has 2 queens plus a fold out bed...which was perfect at the BC in 2012...

OK readers, here are some points to ponder while we're waiting to book our fabulous trips..

(1.) is anyone planning on doing a PTR, TR or Dining report?

I've pondered doing a dining report, but I'm afraid that I'll either forget to take pictures of food, write down what we ate and/or start it and then totally not finish it..

or the worst.....

I wouldn't have any readers and my report would get to only page 2 and it was only ME and my own posts that got it there!!

(2) Has anyone (other than me) already thought about coordinated shirts/outfits for the family? Last trip we made tie-dyed mickey t-shirts and they were a HUGE hit - everyone kept coming up to us asking where we'd gotten them. Even DH who was VERY skeptical about wearing them even asked to go back to the room, wash them so we could wear them a 2nd day! Gotta love it when they drink the kool-aid!!

We also did "Thing 1, Thing 2, Mom of Things and Dad of Things" t-shirts to wear...

Then I had a variety of iron-on transfers designed by the fabulously talented folks on the Design Board here on the DIS for both boys..

and I bought a crystal iron-on Mini head with a bow on it for a shirt for me..

The shirts we made for myself and DH still fit, but the youngest kid is now wearing the shirt made for the oldest kid back in the day so I'm sure both will need new shirts..and if they're getting a new shirt, I want a new shirt too!!



At least everyone here can associate with my obsessive need to always be thinking & planning for a vacation that's 11 months away...

HAHA I check all the time on the DIS and on the WDW site to try and book past 2015!

I think I have decided on some dates May 26 to june 3. I most likely will do a TR but I never keep up with the PTR I have done so I may start one but it most likely will be ignored like the one I have now.

I never have many readers on my TR but The few that I do are so sweet! They keep me going

and yes I have thought about tshirts! Glad I am not the only one. I even plan on getting my kid a pre-k graduation shirt because I weird like that!

Sorry ya'll for being a little slow with the adds on the FB page....there was a little lull in joiners so I hadn't been checking it every day. Hopefully our membership will pick up now that we have less than a year to go.

We've always tried to at least coordinate on our trips. It's hard to have exact matches when I have a 17 year old and a nearly 2 year old. Example - One day on our trip last year my eldest DD and I both had matching Alice in Wonderland t-shirts from the Disney Store and the littlest DD had a Alice shirt from K-mart. This past April I had a Cheshire Cat shirt from the Disney Store and my eldest DD had a Cheshire Cat tank from Hot Topic. Unfortunately I couldn't find anything for the little. I need to get ideas for our upcoming trip. So share.
