****The Official June 2015 thread!!! We're finally going to WDW***

If you could only go to one night fireworks show, which would you chose?

Are our choices: Magic Kingdom, Illuminations at Epcot and Fanstasmic at HS??

UGH! that's so hard!

I guess I'd have to chose Magic Kingdom...even though out of those 3 I've never seen Fanstasmic..

I know, I would love to see them all, but realistically, with a 3 year old and a 4 year old, I am not sure how many evening activities we will be able to do. I have read that you can see one of them from fort wilderness, so since that is where we plan to stay, we might get to see one from a distance!

Believe me you are not alone in the anticipation of next years Disney vacation. I have a countdown clock on my phone that I look at every few days. But I'm anxious for July so that I can put down my deposit. I've never stayed at WL. We are a family of 5 so we stay at POR. We loved that hotel but my dream place to stay is the Polynesian resort. Happy planning.

Thank you ! I have a countdown on my phone as well and look at it on a regular basis !!! We are also a family of 5 (adults) and it's been my dads dream to stay at the WL so we are really hopping we can get it ! I would love to stay at one of the beach ones (huge beach fan) like boardwalk or old key west !

:welcome: Oh you are not the only one beyond excited about your June 2015 trip!! I can't stand it sometimes I'm so flipping excited!! :jumping1::jumping1::jumping1: We have stayed at WL twice and we LOVED IT!! I can try to answer any specific questions you might have about the resort!!

With having a family of 5 adults I'm trying to figure what would be easier to book for June .. Either two rooms or go bring and try for a villa. And how is the dinning at the resort ?

Joining in for June 2015!! Arriving on June 8, for 10 glorious nights, with DDP, at CSR. We normally head right to SSR, but, I fell in :lovestruc with CSR last summer.

Not too worried about the heat, we have been at all times of the year. Our last trip was March, but now we are opting in for summer trips now that DS is school aged. We did pull him this year (it's only K, right? :goodvibes) but have decided, we can deal with the heat, school is more important.

Last trip was the first time we drove down. Stayed overnight about an hour outside of Atlanta (on the way down) and stayed overnight in Louisville (on the way back). I liked driving and if we drive next year, we are going straight through. The convenience of having our car was great! And I loved not having to worry about what we were letting DS buy.

This time, we are adding 2 days at US. I am finally going to see Harry Potter!!:worship: I am so excited! Trying to convince DH we need to add 1 more night to stay at a US resort, so far, he's not buying it!

Just a bit over a year left!! I can't wait to make our reservations!! :hyper:

yeah, you're probably right - with a 3 & 4 yr old you'll be hard pressed to get them to stay up that late!! I know you should be able to see the water light parade (I forget its official name....:headache:) from the dock/water's edge at Ft. Wilderness!! That might be enough for them!

Thank you ! I have a countdown on my phone as well and look at it on a regular basis !!! My first thought with 5 adults and a debate of 2 rooms vs. a villa would be bathrooms!! :lmao: With the 2 rooms you know you'd have 2 bathrooms - with a studio/1 br. / 2 br, how many bathrooms come with each one..

I just know with our family of 4 - the 2 kids being almost 15 now and 12 (they'll be 13 and almost 16 when we go next summer) that we have to juggle brushing teeth/showers/potty breaks and I can't imagine throwing in another adult!! :rotfl2:

:welcome: Glad you could join us!!!

I did love the convenience of having our own car when we drove down!! But I'm not thinking DH wants to drive and since flying is super fast, its fine with me!

ahhh..US....that will be a future date for us! Since I can't get DH to be consistent on when he wants to return to WDW, I don't want to make it even longer in between WDW trips by adding US - or heaven forbid making our WDW trip even shorter!! :scared:

We too are going in June next year (13th). We usually stay in a hotel or in a condo/apartment. This time we have decided to stay in a Villa, I have been put off in the past due to their location. After some searching online I have found a villa on the Indian Wells community, it is close to Disney, next to Walmart and an ideal base for exploring all the others parks and attractions. Just got to find reasonable price flights once they are available next month.

371 days to go!!!

Hallooo! We have intentions of booking pretty much as soon as we get back from our trip (leave in 12 days!) We're an every June kind of family (but mine and DD's bdays are only 1 day apart....) We haven't discussed what dates yet, but we're usually the last full week...as long as the 24th and 25th are included, we're there.

Hello everyone. Well typically this would be the week my family and I would be at disney world but because of my husband's new job we decided to skip this year and go next year. I was doing pretty good about not thinking of where I should be instead of where I am (work) but I am so ready for next year's trip. It can't get here fast enough. :cool1: I look at my countdown clock every few days. I figured you all could feel my pain of having to wait 300+ days till we are all back to that magical place.

This was the week that we were at WDW last year. It's both fun and depressing to see all the pictures that I took each day last year popping up on my Timehop app on my phone.:sad:

ME TOO!! I had already planned for us to go this summer, but I had to cancel it...:sad2: and we would have been leaving on Wednesday!!

I already had it written on the big family wall calendar in our house and just looking at it crossed out makes me sad...

BUT..knowing that there is "jack-jack no take back" for next summer I think I make it through!

and the fact that DH just agreed to a kid-free trip for us to Vegas the end of September!! :yay: :cool1:

Can't wait to get back to my "dark side" place!!!

Hey guys, I have a question. Since I am new at this, maybe one of you can tell me, if I book a 6 night, 7 day package, can I just buy 5 day tickets? I don't think we would make it to a park on the day we check in, because we are driving from Tx, and the day we check out we will just be getting up and leaving, so that only leaves 5 full days for the parks.

Cathy

YES!!!! The only issue I can see is if the package you're booking has a minimum # of park days that must be booked, but usually you would see one that requires 5 days or less...

I'm planning on taking my lil 3-person family for a trip in June 2015. Probably 5/31 till 6/7. We will be there celebrating my daughter's 21st birthday.

I opened a Disney Vacation Savings account and put in my first $130 dollars today! I am trying to save up $5500 in that account to pay for the trip and that is how much the website said I needed to put in weekly to have $5500 in time to pay off our trip.

I really have no clue if that is going to be enough money though.

Oh, and I am planning on keeping this trip a 100% secret from my daughter until we arrive at the airport. I figured by that time she'd see we were flying to Orlando and figure it out.

I've been doing some pinning of disney trip stuff on Pinterest and I accidentally pinned two Disney things into a board that I share with my daughter instead of into my private disney planning board and LUCKILY a really good friend is on her WDW vacation right now and I used her as an excuse as to why I was looking at disney stuff on pinterest!

Add me too. Going in June 2015. Waiting to get next year's school schedule to select the exact dates. We planned to go this June (we should be there now) but things just didn't work out.

We are planning to drive this time and spend about 2 weeks. This will also be the first trip that we plan to hit Universal as well as Disney.

wow! I would LOVE a trip that long!! I may have to wait until my kids are out of the house and its just DH and myself!! :lmao:

You are stronger than me being able to keep WDW a secret!! I'm bursting at the seams telling anyone who will listen that we're going!! :rotfl:

WHAT??!! I've never thought of using Pinterest for WDW!! I've mainly used it for food and craft ideas - ugh...I'm horrible!! :scared1::crazy2:

What kind of fabulous ideas are you getting off of Pinterest??? Please share!!

Welcome!! :welcome:

and ME TOO about not going this year - we would have been just now coming home from WDW....sniff..sniff...:guilty::sad1:

BUT! never fear, you can hang out with us for the next year and we'll talk Disney with you to pass the time!! :hyper2::hyper2::hyper2::hyper2::jumping1:

We'll be staying at ASMusic suite, June 8-13, 2015. Me, DH, DD(10), MIL, & my mom.

WELCOME!!! :welcome:

oohh....a suite!! have you stayed in one before?? You guys are braver than I am by inviting "others" on your WDW vacations!! We have vacationed with family before - but its to rent a beach house and everyone is pretty much on their own and they don't have to deal with me and my "Disney mode"!! :rotfl:

I'm so excited that our "June 2015 Train to WDW" is filling up so quickly!!

thanks for joining us!!

:banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

(and I'd like to state for the record that I had to "edit" my comment b/c I used 26 smilies and apparently you're only allowed 25 - I wanted to add a smilie there too, but I can't !!)

actually my row of banana men was all jacked up so I had to remove a few....darn it all!
