We have finally decided on our arrival date and location. Arriving 14 Jun for a stay at Wilderness Lodge. We have 8 people going so far. We are planning on going to Universal also but don't know if we are going to change to a Universal Resort for two nights or just drive over.

If you stay at the Universal hotel, you get the express pass for free,Including check in day and check out day, otherwise it's like $85 per person. It would be easy to do if you tack it to the beginning or end of your trip.

I was just telling DH last night we may be there when SWW is. Does anyone know when it starts? We need to catch up on our movies. I LOVED watching the old ones with my dad.

This year, SWW ran May 16-June 15. Might be around the same time in 2015.

I'm finally joining the bandwagon here! Our dates are set for June 13-19, 2015! I'm so excited I can barely wait. Forgot to mention that for now we're staying at AKL, but my mom is definitely trying to talk us into staying at AoA, because she's tagging along (maybe) and is obsessed with the resort.

We loved our stay at AOA!

This is the last weekend before school starts. BOO. I hate when the kids go to school. I get bummed.

The house is back on the market. We are hoping it sells fast so we can get back to Florida to our family. (and WDW).

DH is thinking about skipping our June 2015 trip. We have to much going on right now to add a trip on top. To many what if's. I am a little sad by this change of plans. But, at least we will be closer to WDW when we move to Florida and maybe we can get down for a big Holiday.

Hi everyone! Just checking in to see my countdown. Should get check with bonus next week then will be booking our trip. Woo! Hoo! Looking to go June18-27. Still trying to decide on which resort. Wish POFQ did the discount. Really liked it when we stayed there this year. Now that DGD is considered an adult, PRICE has really gone up!

Hey all! Tagging along for the ride. We're planning on June 12-20, hitting the last weekend of SWW while staying at POP (OR CSR if the discounts work out). Going to try a "budget" trip this time around. No DxDP, cutting down on ADRs and paying OOP. Value resort to save some cash (unless there is a solid discount on moderates we can't pass up), and no park hopping. We'll see how this one works out.

Hi disneymania0711 and welcome!!

We went in the first week of June 2013 and I didn't feel the crowds were that bad. The only park we encountered that was a bit on the crowded side was DHS for SWW and even that was managable. Of course that was pre-FP+ so that might make a difference.

I also didn't think the heat was extremely bad the first week in June either. Our last two trips previous to that one were in July and it does get pretty toasty in July so in comparison the heat in June felt tolerable. It also rained a lot so that helped to cool things down.

We have ALWAYS gone in June - between the 2nd & 3rd weeks...and last time (2012) the weather was actually pretty nice!! WAY cooler than we thought/expected (well, as "cool" as Florida gets in June..) but we had quick afternoon rain showers that really seemed to cool down the temperatures..

and the crowds weren't so bad either!

next summer we're going the earliest we've ever been - there June 6th!! I'm hoping we'll be just beating the traditional kids getting out of school - our school actually doesn't get out until Monday, June 8th, but we're skipping it and headed to Florida!!

Does anybody know which moderates usually do summer discounts? We're open to staying at any of them, but whichever has a discount for our days is where we'll end up. Was hoping for POFQ, but I'm guessing from your post that they don't usually have a summer discount?

Don't let the pessimists on other boards get you down. It's only as big of a deal as you make it to be- and I'm hoping by next summer the glitches have worked out and there is more flexibility- I really can't imagine that they won't add the ability to schedule the 4th+ fast passes from the app for any park. If they don't add that soon it will pretty much shut down the need for park hopper option. This last trip we were offsite and I got FP easily at less than 21days out. I think a lot of the whining is truly because the times have to be fiddled with and you can't immediately schedule what works best-and I get that frustration but it's not any different than under old system if you got a return time that was inconvenient (well other than the "super users" who held multiple FP and disregarded return times and just did what they wanted). We went third week of June this year and even with crowds and heat we did pretty much everything we wanted. Especially if A&E are not a priority (we did get FP+ for them too-at 11pm one night-had planned for a late MK day anyway. Only one kid was interested -middle DD- and DS pretty grumpy about meeting princesses: I am NOT into princesses! Right in front of them in the line lol! Have to say they were some of the best character meets though-Elsa managed to coax a smile from him)
This next trip focusing more on Star Wars weekend

I sure hope you are right. I'm used to obtaining at least 6 fastpasses from the old system. The idea of only 4 seems rough and the fact that I have to schedule in advance base on new rules is daunting for me.

I followed easywdw suggestions and it worked great, was able to get fastpasses after our first ones were used. We still did rope drop and didn't have advantage of EMH either. BUT we didn't have any absolute "must do's or vacation ruined" stuff either (including ADR's) so that does make for more relaxed planning
