The *OFFICIAL JUNE 2011 THREAD* "Some Like it Hot" & Some Like it Even Hotter! Part 2

2 more days. Packing all the stuff needed for a 10 month old is overwhelming. I have to make sure to pack the bottles tomorrow night.

I'm going to try to knock out most of the clothes packing tonight after the kids go to bed.

I know how you feel. When my DD was 8 month old we went to Disney and it was a good thing we drove because we had so much stuff with us just for her. I was so happy to not have to bring so much last year and now this year, we have even less to pack. It's so nice.

I think I have almost everything on my list done with the exception of packing. Just got the coolant flushed in my van and got a new bathing suit for me! I set up a tentative schedule just need to see if I want to make any reservations at MK for our first day or just do a quick service. Really I am just rambling right now because I want to see my ticker! :rotfl:

For all the June 1st families...have a safe and fun trip!:cool1:

we're leaving in a day and a half and OF COURSE DH's car breaks down.

I've decided to go against my character COMPLETELY, and respond to the situation this way: "Ok, if something BAD is wrong with it, we'll tow it back home, leave it while we're on vacation, and the day we come back... we buy a new car.

Can we afford it? no. Am I going to let it "infect us" for ths next week? NO WAY :dance3:

God will make a way- he always does. :car:

when it rains.....:umbrella: call it pixie dust and banana dance!

Got it. All added. :thumbsup2 How goes the planning? Haven't seen you or BigDaddy around for a while.

Everything is going good. Trying to get everything we need for Disney, finish our matching t-shirts that i am making, trying to plan mine and DH's 1 year wedding anniversary for this weekend, and everything else. Not enough time really. We leave in 8 days i can't wait. BigDaddy is running around trying to get everything also. But we are going good. How are you?

I was always amazed how someone so small could require so much junk! I'm thankful that this will be our first trip without a kid in diapers. It makes so much more room in the suitcase!

I love the attitude and this should become my new motto. I wonder if many people in the real world know what a banana dance is?!

remember the old black eyed peas video for "where is the love" where they go around plastering everything with question marks? We can do it with dancing bananas!

Well Happy Early 1 year anniversary to you! That's so exciting. Are you going to celebrate on vacation too? Go out to dinner maybe?

I got all my documents today! One step closer to vacation!:cool1:

:banana::banana: Our's came in the mail today too! I have been waiting everyday for the mail. Now I feel like I have nothing else to wait for, but at least I know that vacation is THAT much closer.

Yeah I don't know if people in the non-DIS world really banana dance. We had a Memorial Day party the other night and I showed our neighbors my Disney countdown calendar. They said it was cute, but you know the kind of cute I mean. Like, "Oh, THAT'S cute!" Our one neighbor really likes Disney and used to work there, but he still said that I was "really a Disney fanatic". The funniest thing though was that our neighbor (same guy) is a chef and he went to buy food supplies and made dishes for his catering company, so he shows us the pictures by sending them to our phones and of course, I said, "Oh look, I just got food porn sent to my phone!" Everyone turned around and asked at the same time, "Food porn? What's that?" The nerve of some people. :rotfl:

Food porn is one of the ways I "talk" DH into Disney trips... just show him some of the food choices and all of the sudden he is much more receptive to Disney vacation planning! ;)

I :love:food porn!!

and one of these.... just for fun!

2 weeks to go!!!:woohoo::cool1::cool1::cloud9:

Happy travels everyone and packing for those of us with a few more days left. I came home to find my DH had started laying out his clothes for our trip! When he starts getting excited, I know we are almost ready to go!!!

14 days for me :-) By this time next week I will be at the happiest place on earth for my best friends wedding :cheer2::grouphug:

That is too funny. Men are so into their food. But I will have to say, food is one of the reasons, why I love planning our Disney vacations. The idea of eating every day out without having to cook or clean up dishes makes me extremely excited. We stay in the villas most of the time and I never cook in the kitchen, not even a cup of coffee.

My mom used to make it a point to never stay anywhere with a kitchen on any vacation because she knew my dad would want her to cook to save even a penny:rotfl:

:laughing:Fantastic plan! Looks like we'll be in Disney at the same time, so maybe we can start the banana propaganda while we're there!:banana:;)

I got my husband into Disney by telling him he can drink around the world. Now he tells me he wants me to make a t-shirt so that he can get it stamped at every country he drinks at! :crazy2:

Everything is packed, all errands ran and all last minute items purchased. Tomorrow is our day! Heading to the airport in the morning to catch our flight to WDW! So excited!!!:banana::banana::banana::banana:

ITA!!! Knowing I have NO housework for the whole trip puts me in an automatic good mood. No cooking... :cloud9:

I would love to try the "drinking around the world" thing but, honestly I am such a light weight I am afraid I'd only make it to America and I would have to quit!! I AM considering the "candy around the world" for this years trip though.

4 more working days for me. Two with kids, one without, one work day and graduation. I can't believe tomorrow is June 1st!!!! :goodvibes
