I can't believe how close everyone is to their vacations. I just wanted to say I hope everyone has a great vacation and to stop to smell the roses. Enjoy every minute you can (in between running for FP's and trying to catch your ADR's).

Is anyone gonna be checking in to DIS while on vacay? We probably won't be, but I'll be looking forward to coming back here to see how everyone's trip went.

I thought I has requested to be added earlier but maybe I didn't. We will be arriving in orlando on June 5th staying off side but will be checking into the Pop on the 6th staying until the 10th.
We have advanced res. at Chef Mickeys on Thur. the 9th at 11:20 AM

We are surprising our two girls. 11 days to go and we still do not have our mickey mail. I contacted our TA yesterday. She said she will get in the mail today. I am ready and ready to get packing.

Down to single digits! 9 days! All the family has also been sick this week. Total drag! But better now than at WDW. I am in a bit of planning withdrawal & now just stalk the dining res. page, although I probably won't change anything! So looking forward to our first Disney trip since 2005!

Joining in late! We just planned an unexpected trip from June 19th to the 23rd! I'm so excited but bummed we'll be staying off-site this time. Sad how quickly you can get spoiled

We usually go down in the winter. . .any tips for managing the excessive crowds? Thanks!

Thinking about eating at the Toy Story restaurant (think it's pizza?) or Back Lot Express? SUGGESTIONS?

We are driving from the DFW area on the 28th This is our 9th trip driving!! Looks like we will be in Epcot and DHS on the same days. I wish I had some dining suggestions for DHS but it is our least favorite park to eat in. We have eaten at the Backlot Express a few times but not since the latest menu changes.

Just when I was sure I was DONE with the changes! I am blaming the Disboards. I just loved the people who had done their schedule with a timeline on the left...so I decided to revamp my schedule adding in timelines.

Unfortunately it really made me realize how much we'd be pushing it to make some places on time and I don't like to rush on vacation! So I moved a few things around, which gives us more afternoons free for swim breaks which the kids will LOVE!

In any case, it also means I dropped one of my ADRs. Please remove my Chef de France ressie for lunch on 6/20. I've decided after the busy morning we have, we may just chill at the pool or head to the MK that day rather than rush over to EPCOT.

Also ADD a reservation for Chef de France on June 24th at 1pm. I always enjoy last-day shopping at EPCOT, so this gives us an excuse to head there that day for a while. Hopefully we can catch Remy as well.

Everything else remains as far as dining. I just changed some of our park plans leaving a little more flexibility...always a good thing!

Urgh, home with a sick kiddo. My 6 year old came down with a really bad ear infection. I'm really hoping the antibiotics will kick in fast so he will be feeling good for our flight in a week and a half! He's only had a few ear infections before, so I'm not sure how this will turn out. He's really miserable today. I'm hoping everyone else will stay healthy too. On our last trip we all got H1N1 while at Disney, and had to stay in the room for the last few days. We're in need of a healthy trip!

Not having packed for a summer trip in a long time I have a quick question. What does everyone pack in their carry on's for the first day down? We are flying in around 9am and I would expect we would not get our luggage until that night. What about sun screen? Can you pack that in a carry on these days?

Target has small tubes of sunscreen with the other "travel size" stuff. We left ours in the Owner's Locker last year but I'll probably put more in the checked bags. I try to put as much stuff as I can in the carry-on to make sure the checked bags aren't over-weight.

Can you pack your trading pins in your carry on?

Yes. If you have a lot of them (like a gallon bag full) take them out of the suitcase and place them in the bin. In the past when we have traveled with large quantities of pins the TSA had us remove the pins to be scanned separately - they told us in the future to take them out. If it's like a sandwich bag you should be fine with it in the carry-on. And if you have tubes full of coins you will need to take those out, too. DS had a tube of quarters and a tube of pennies in his backpack and it caused all sorts of mayhem.

okay so now we cancelled the regular cabana and now have premium cabana from 10a-midnight!.. it was only $100 more than we already paid! so $640 for 14 hours of premium cabana!

8 days left because I dont count the rest of the day!

I'm not getting a pedicure, but I'm painting my toes red and adding a black mickey head to my big toe I'm going to try to do it on my girls' toes too if they'll hold still enough for the mickey head!
