haha i've been popping in & out of those threads all day, occasionally throwing my 2 cents in, but mostly just reading and snickering to myself.
some of the contradictions and blatant close mindedness just makes me -headdesk-
i can't say i'm sad that we're actually having intelligent conversations rather than threads about twilight though
but really, enough is enough, lots of dead horses being beaten today.

That's how I feel too. I don't have the stregth to type out how I feel anymore. People either get it or they don't.

Anyways, I like debating. I honestly think we ware waaaaaaaay more mature when it comes to debating than the adults on the CB.
I like an intelligent argument, but when it gets to bickering and nonsensical drivel, it's annoying.

I don't usually think that, but this weekend we've definitely proven that we're just as argumentative as the CB (i wouldn't say more, because a lot of the threads with arguing were politically based to start with)
But seriously, as much as I LOL when I go over to the CB and see the arguments, they could definitely saunter over here for a laugh or two this weekend that's for sure!

I'd say we (even me, lol) also don't know when to just give up and walk away, but we're far from being cruel.

although all these religous conversations are really annoying with a certain few...thorns amongst the roses if you will...it really amuses me how half of the TB is staying strong to their (our) side and not backing down.

people that throw their beliefs in my face and shove down my throat how they are right and i am wrong, is the reason why i do not go to church and why i do not actively participate in the religion of my family.

but hooray ladies, for standing up for what we believe in. :]

ITA with everything on here. This thread seems like a safe haven. But I have to admit I've been doing quite a bit of posting and -headdesking- myself... I just get so furious about the closemindedness. But we're not discussing that on here!
But now I am definitely regretting posting that Catholic church gothic thing... just fueling the fire.

i have been posting because i love ethical and moral discussions. but i think things have gone a bit too far. the two threads about obama, i have left alone. i would like to say, regarding these threads, that no one can really know what religion someone is. i think you all follow the religions you claim to but i dont really know what is in your heart. same with my senior pastor. he might just be a really good actor who is fooling heaps of people. im convinced he's not acting, but it helps illustrate my point.

i think people get too defensive and thats how the arguements start. also, im sorry if anything i have said in any of these threads has offended anyone.
