The Official "HAPPY HOLIDAYS!" Thread! Pics, Stories, and Facts!

Every year we go down to my aunt and uncle's home on Christmas Eve. We play Tufties, Felix the Cat, and Winnie the Pooh board games and we open one present. :thumbsup2

Good stuff indeed.

On Christmas eve, my family always plays this weird card horse racing game and we make bets with pennies. Like, the board is a track and each horse has a different suit. Then for every card that comes up, that horse moves (club, spade, heart, diamond). It's fun. I always pick the heart horse. (:
Afterwards, my bros and I get to open one present. Usually a small one from a sibling or aunt or something like that.

Then me and my brothers go to bed way early (like ten-ish) and wake up at about 4 AM on christmas. My parents refuse to come down stairs until 7, so my older brother usually goes and plays video games for 3 hours, and me and my younger brother just shake our presents and stare at the tree and go through our stockings.

After all the presents are opened, me and my ma usually watch one of the movies I got - I usually get at least one. Last year it was PotC 2, so I'm guessing this year is will be PotC 3 (:

every year when i got to my cousin house or they come to my house all the kids all sleep in the same room. thats a bad idea but we do it anyways and thats 6 kids at the least. yikes

Christmas is the only day of the year that i wake up early and my (younger) sister sleeps in :rotfl: theres no reason for it, it just naturally happens lol

Usually i can open all my presents in my stocking and one bigger present and then we have to wait for the rest of the family to come before we open any more, we usually eat a massive cooked brekkie and go to my cousins house to watch them open their presents and then we all have a big dinner (supper) and watch a movie or play a board game

We use to make dinner with my nanny.
She died in September, so our Christmas will be kind of empty. its only me, my mom and my dad.

i always sneak a peek at what presents i have for christmas :p yet i'm still on Santa's nice list... hmmmmm

When there's the first sign of christmas anywhere, that's when i get all excited and start playing christmas songs and stuff!

I love your tree Jenny =)
I have a great love for the multicolored lights and many different ornaments that all have a different meaning.
We decorated our tree yesterday, it's slightly tilted forward from the amount of 30 years worth of ornaments on it (that don't match) and are probably a fire hazard.

At my house we have so many christmas traditions

1. We each have matching pjs that we wear on Christmas

2. Every Christmas Eve before we go to bed we have a christmas talent show. And we each have to sing a song. I usually win cause I'm the only one with musical talent (last year my sister won. :( she did rouldolf in sign language)

3. I always put the Angel on top of the tree. and my sister puts jesus under the tree on christmas eve.

4. Our house is always the brightest house on the street. You can see my house a street away. lol

Theres a bunch more I just don't feel like typing them all up.

At my house, we always put the decorations up Thanksgiving Weekend. :)
And on Christmas Eve, me and my sister always watch Christmas Eve on Seseme Street. It's been a tradition since I was a baby, and to this day, me being 19 and she being 23, we still watch Seseme Street. haha

Here's a few pics... They are from my cell so the quality is bad, but you can still get the jist. The first is my tree. It's basically completely full of Disney ornaments... and notice the stockings in the windows! haha. The second is my house... it's during the day so it's not lit, but the wreaths and such all have lights on them at night. :)

We go to my aunt's hosue Christmas Eve, and we open all the family presents there.
Then we drive home that night, to be home on Christmas morning.

On Christmas morning, me and my brother used to wake up at like, three in the morning, and our parents would make us wait till 6 to go open presents, and until then all we could do was go on our stairs and look at all the presents. It was TORTURE.
Now my little sisters are the ones that wake up early, and they haul us all outta bed at 6.

And we just go straight for the presents. Everyone has to brush their teeth, then it's a free-for-all.

And we always watch It's a Wonderful Life and Rudolph.

I think my parents have an 8 o'clock rule. I can't really remember. Last Christmas we slept in because my grandfather was still in bed and we had to wait for him.
My mother is under the impression that she can keep me in bed until 10.
That's a joke. If we're not opening the presents at 8, the very least I can do is help her cook sticky buns at 8.
(Sticky buns in my family are my mum's homemade rolls, like the kind you'd eat with soup or dinner, covered in sticky sweet cinnamon stuff, it's amazing)

This weekend is my family's annual trip to Hershey, PA!

We stay at the Hotel Hershey and go to the park and stuff and have breakfast with santa :D

It's so fun. My cousin who's my age might not be there this year :(
If she's not, I'm wandering the hotel looking for cute guys :D

Well maybe not...but I can dream, right?

Haha, nope our tree ornaments don't really match. Except they're all colorful and fun. =)
