The *Official* February 2011 Thread - Happy Dance Time...The Park Hours Are Out!

Because it's going to be CROWDED!

Well, you've scared me into resubscribing to Touring Plans. Not that it's going to change anything as far as crowds, but it might change which park I do which day. So yippee, I might get to change our "plan" again!

Honestly, though, whether at Pop or the parks, I have met the nicest people and had the most interesting conversations when I've just been chilling in the smoking areas. Sounds weird, but it's true. I guess because so much of a WDW vacation, you're go-go-go... In the smoking areas, people are just sitting and relaxing. Not that I'm advocating taking up smoking... I'm just making an observation.

You meet the nicest people in the smoking sections. DH is going to have to put up with me this trip. He quit , I have not. I found when we were there in July, the smoking sections were very calm as opposed to the go go go of the rest of the parks.

stressing out over here- very grateful, but stressed. The problem with DVC is that I cannot call to add anything (dining plan, mom's name, etc) I have to first call aunt and ask her to do it- and thatw

can't you just call and say you're her? I know DIsney is pretty high tech but I don't think they have voice-recognition technology on their phone lines (yet).

Awesome! It'll just be DS and I, and we'll definitely have LGMH's on, and lime green ribbon. I'm so excited I'll have so much more time than usual to relax and enjoy Pop this trip! A lot of times you can find me in the exiled-smokers area, lol. (Hey, I only smoke on vacation and during hurricanes! )

You know, it just dawned on me last night that we'll be there during Valentine's Day! I think I've been single too long, LOL. I need to find some cute Valentine's window stuff to bring!

I'll keep an eye out for ya, especially if I'm passing a smoking section. I have never seen another diser in person when I'm there. I must not pay to much attention to what's going on around me. That's scary! I see window's decorated but never people.

I have already purchased Valentine window clings and some hanging hearts for all 3 rooms, and my daughter, niece and I are going to put chocolate hearts in cute baskets for our rooms. I'm thinking of getting more window decor, like anniversary stuff for my in-laws room, their anniversary is Valentine's Day. And I will put my large-ish LGMH on my window. They will think I'm totally nuts! Eh, what else is new!

So my dad brought it to my attention that we will be at Disney the week after the Super Bowl & the winning team usually goes to Disney to celebrate a day or two after.. I wonder if any of us will see someone famous? How cool would that be? I hate football and I still think that would be kind of neat.

Just had major sticker shock!!

I picked up our LGMH this past weekend (thank you Home Depot). Thought a fun way to do them would be to make those round pins. Checked on the Michaels website nothing. So I try Google. The cheap ones are almost $1000.00

Guess I will have to figure out a different way to do them.

21hearts- YES normally the MVP goes to the MK (unless they head to disneyland instead) on the Monday right after Superbowl (so Monday Feb 7th) for a parade!

Very true!! When my mom goes with us , we hit ALL the smoking areas in the park. lol I will tell you what, some of the most pretty parts of AK is the smoking sections. They are so nicely landscaped and tranquil.

I have a question that I hope can be answered here. I have an ADR for cape may cafe at 6:30 pm on a sunday. MK has magic hours that night. IF I am seated on time I should be done by 8pm. In order to get to MK I would like to get a taxi back to the Poly to freshen up and then get to MK. How much is a taxi from cape may cafe(BC) to Poly?

Aaaah! So very close now!
We have sooo many people coming in from all over, my very best friend ever is flying all the way from Spain and we are meeting her at the airport, I haven't seen her in 10 years!!! I talk to her all the time online, but I haven't seen her since I left Spain myself. I am so excited!
My parents, aunt, cousin are getting in from every other point in the world too, and my in-laws are sooo excited! My little nephews and nieces are so looking forward to this, plus... I can't believe I'll be walking down the aisle at the Wedding Pavilion in just a bit!

The rental car is secured, the hotel for the pets is booked, everything is virtually done, we have a whole weekend to pack and organize any last minute snafus. I also just got over a big-time cold and DH is fighting it off. We can do eet!

So just curious will anyone else be there from the 6th to 13th? We'll actualy be in the parks on the 7th - 10th and then the 11th & 12th we will be at Universal.
