Has anyone been to MK the day they have the Superbowl MVP parade? I just realized that we arrive on Superbowl Sunday and will be at MK that Monday and think it would be cool to see the parade, if they have one.

That looks perfect. I was going to check it against what I tentatively have and see how it matches up (but I forgot it at home, at work now). But I'm thinking I may go with your plan.

I'd prefer to miss EMH days but it does stink that our last day at MK has to have a AM EMH. I hope that doesn't "ruin" our last day there. I don't think it will as it will be our 3rd time there during the trip and will be going more to just be in the park one last time... I guess we'll see. It can't be as bad as this March where the Jungle Cruise had a 60 minute wait.

I'm pretty sure MK will have the superbowl MVP parade. I'm sure they do that every year. Not sure how that affects the crowds though. It would be something I would try to avoid though, I think (I was going to be there that week but changed weeks and was avoiding MK that day then).

Hi, my husband and I are going for the week of February 5- 12, and are staying at POFQ. I am surprised there are not more persons on the list for that time. I suppose the black out dates for dining have something to do with that

We will be there on those dates too, we will be at CSR. Free dining was not as much of a savings for us (not as much as the 30% off) so we did not move our dates.

we felt the same way when we booked that week (5th thru 12th). I booked with the 40% off and didn't consider free dining. I just saw something about a $500 gift card with deluxe packages. Should I also be receiving one of them?

Sorry I don't know anything about the parade but we were there on the Friday/Saturday before Super Bowl Sunday one year and it was SO crowded we couldn't even WALK! It was awful! I think tons of people decided to stop by MK on their way to the super bowl.

I was able to make my FIRST ADR's yesterday! I booked Chefs De France and the Illuminations Cruise. Those were the only two adr's that I was concerned about due to needing to have them on a very specific day and time. Paying $25 extra to get the boat decorated for the birthday!!!

I dropped my DS (18) off at the airport this morning. He is going to Seattle for a gaming convention. Its the first time he has done a trip on his own. He is a really together kid and I am not to worried about him getting into trouble. However, its got me totally stressed out. I am assuming its because he is my only child and its his first trip without myself or DH.

And to everyone: I apologize if you had to wait at all for your request to be approved... I set it up that way to keep out anyone who wasn't supposed to be here. I've already had a couple of people who tried to get in who-knows-why. (Both their profiles were completely, entirely in a foreign language.) But it's still searchable, in case there are people on FB but not the DIS boards looking for a group like this.

One other quick thing -- If you start a new discussion under the Discussion tab instead of on the Wall, the posts won't show up on your wall. It doesn't matter to me either way, but just wanted to throw that out there in case someone didn't like that group stuff showed up on their wall.

Wish I had the answer on this one...I've never been in Feb, let alone Superbowl time. I was thinking about posting a thread about this just to see what kind of answers I would get. I have read where it supposedly doesn't affect the overall crowd levels but ??? We will also be at the MK on 2/7...hoping it doesn't get too crazy. No matter what I keep telling myself over and over again that it will never be as bad as when we went in late june/early july and the parks were filled with the tour groups

Anyone a pin trader? They announced last week that there will be a pin event on 2/5/10! We are seriously considering changing our dates just for this. The theme is "Love Is Magical"--will include several specially designed LE pins and lots of desserts!

I think I might hate you, LOL. Darn you, Disney!! I would have been there then, if Disney hadn't bizarrely blocked those dates out for free dining. We were all set for the 4th-12th until then, now we'll be there the 11th-19th. DS and I both love pin trading... In fact, he has strict orders if the house ever catches fire while I'm not there, to grab the important files in one hand and my pin bag in the other.

Wish I was still going to be there for this!!

Yeah... And I can understand it, because the TGM and TP people work hard to offer that data to subscibers, and subscribers (like I sub to TP) pay the bills for those services. If only a few people subbed and then shared the info with everyone else, the awesome companies that go to all that hard work to gather the data and provide the info would go out of business. And then I wouldn't have Lines!! lol
