Last day at work before I leave, and of course my computer decides not to work.

Not like I would really get anything done today, I am on full vacation mode.

The weather next week looks darn close to perfect. DH is way excited now!!

Finally got Mouse World Radio to work on my Iphone, and it starts with Illuminations! I didn't care for it when we saw it and its the first thing..
I was kinda hoping for Fantasmic.

We actually got in late Wed night, but we have all had a terrible COLD!!
What a wonderful trip we had! The weather was good, not too warm, a little rainy, with one really chilly (40degree) day!
POFQ was a beautiful resort!! Kids had a blast riding all the rides. We had some magical moments (I know they don't call them that anymore, but it sure does feel like that when you are on the receiving end of one) I mastered riding the ECV and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I did get a few head shakes, but nothing too major.

Did you get a refurbed room at POFQ? We get in on sunday and I am keeping my fingers crossed for a refurbed room.

It was not horribly crowded at all. We early waited to get on a ride. The biggest wait was 40 min on toy story? I did think the parks seemed more crowded than the wait times indicated? There were a lot of tour groups, dance and cheer groups, but we didn't have any problems at all.

For magical moments
1. We were chosen to be "The first family" in the American adventure show at EPCOT
2. walked up too test track and they gave us FAST PASSES and without then we never would have been able to make it on (time wouldn't allow)
3. Not magical moment, but with my scooter ( I kept calling it a stroller all week - ah the mom in me) we were able to get preferred seating in a lot of the shows. I would not have survived the stampede for fantastic otherwise.
My daughter also thought I was the coolest mom ever while we were riding rockin roller coaster, they let us go twice without waiting and then she got to go again with her Dad after!
I never expected special treatment, but I will tell you that they dud cater to me and I let them, normally I would decline, but this vacation was for the kids and these perks really helped the kids feel a little special since they were always worried about me.

The rooms a POFQ are awesome! You will love it there! I requested a refurb room and ground floor and the honored the ground floor request. My husband asked if we could get a refurb room instead and she came back in 15 with a room in building 4!!!! Ut was on the far end but were more than happy! Just ask- if they have room they will they to help!

Oh and the ECV headshakes weren't that bad. I just thought to myself "really you would want to trade places? I would gladly run all over the parks with my kids instead of sitting her missing out on some things". And most of the people that shook their heads ended up getting on before me or made it on the same bus anyway.
I will say that this is NOT the norm. People would say " you are a saint for doing this foe your kids" I got tons of compliment about my driving on/off the bus even by the bus drivers. So? It wasn't all bad.
Allison, welcome home! We should compare notes! Glad you made it there! Those storms were such a thorn in our side!

Someone had a child playing in the band at MK on Thursday Feb 5 I think. If the band was Liberty- let me know- I have a few pictures

We had some AMAZING Pixie Dust on our trip-

1) We got the most sought after building in OKW- 3rd floor, water view overlooking golf course green, with amazing Epcot firework views next door to the main building.

2) We were picked as First Family in Toontown- We got to go in before everyone else and as we walked to Mickey's House guess who was waiting for us? MICKEY himself. He held our two little ones' hands and walked them through his house with no other guests in sight- it was incredible

3) Our son was selected to help with the opening of the Lion King show- He got to walk in front of everyone and ROAR like a Lion on the mic. So cute

4) We were seated 20 minutes early for our Le Cellier dinner ADR on my Birthday- and DH surprised me with a special Disney Cake

Time to pull out the suitcases!!

Airport shuttle picks us up at 6:40 tomorrow morning. DH had a stressful Friday ay work so he is really looking forward to leaving tomorrow.

Looking at the weather, the long johns are staying home.

Got back yesteray afternoon. I have to run out to work today because something came up while I was away. Had a good trip. I don't know if I'll do an actual trip report, but I will try to post some observations. There were some good things, some bad and one really ugly thing on our trip. I don't want to sound negative but why make reservations if they are not honored? Does anyone know of an occasion where you have to wait an hour for a table at an 'upscale' restaurant in the real world? I was not happy. I mean I was a club level guest at a deluxe hotel with reservations at the restaurant in my hotel and I can't get a table until an hour after my reservation? WTH?

Well it figures that the time in October that I could book isn't part of the bounce back! - hmm, wil have to look at this a little closer....maybe a september trip instead.....
