If you can, let us know you arrived at Disney

:rotfl2: I told you I over pack! LOL. Maybe I will edit down my list! LOL :lmao:
In my defense, my boys spill a lot, especially the youngest and I always have an extra outfit on hand....

I am the queen of overpacking, but when it comes to going to DLR, even DH no longer tries to dissuade me from bringing twice as much as the kids and I need. (He packs his own minimalist bag!)

In addition to the things other people suggested on this thread, we bring little Disney surprises for the kids. We also bring costumes for the kids, as both DD9 and DS6 love dressing up. (Favorite boy costume is a Mr. Potatohead costume I found online at Target last year. It has eyes, nose, and mouth that velcro on. At Goofy's kitchen last year, Alice kept stealing the pieces and pretending to put them onto her face. :) )

Other things we bring that end up getting a lot of use are: Mad Libs books, Lots to Do in Line and Hidden Mickeys books, Magic Pen books, coloring/drawing supplies, etc. Some of this is to occupy us while waiting in line, and other things (the Magic Pen books, coloring/drawing things, etc.) are for the kids to do while we're at sit-down restaurants, as the adults on our October trips enjoy long dinners, cocktail hours, etc. and we don't allow our kids to play on "screens" during meals, even long ones out at restaurants. Mad Libs are really fun for everyone to play together, too, especially if it's taking a while for food to come and folks are getting cranky.

And yeah, so glad we're driving this time instead of driving so I don't have to worry about weighing the luggage!:yay:

Yay! We made our F! Dessert ressies!!! We were able to get 9pm on Sunday, 7/27. I think that was the last one we had to make. Now, it's time to start packing and getting our ride strategy figured out. We won't have everything planned, just we'll have a general idea and direction when we enter the park. Whoo Hooo! Less than 30 days now!!!

We are leaving soon so I just wanted to check in as I may not get to catch up much during our trip. I want to wish you all a great vacation, safe travel & have lots of fun. Thanks again Bob for getting us all together.

Happy Planning...:goodvibes

Three weeks til our first day at Disneyland AND…… my birthday! I'm super excited to be spending my birthday at a Disney park for the first time!!!

I've been watching the crowd level at Disneyland the last few days and it's been pretty low. The wait times have been great and I've seen several people that are there comment on how low the crowds are. I was wondering if it was due to alot of people watching the World Cup? I see that the matches end on July 13th. Just before I get there on July 15th!

Maybe this low crowds will hold for our trip. We leave on the 9th and barely have anything packed or even in the vacation holding area! All we have out now are formal gowns, interview clothing and pageant stuff! Can't wait for the national pageant next weekend.

What app (if any) are you going to use this summer? I would like to choose one and run with it. Mouse waits seems good but I am totally open for options.

TIA,
Stina
72 hours to go

Hoping low crowds maintain for the next 2 weeks. Of course 2 1/2 days are with Adventures by Disney, so the Paddle of Power will help then. But I have 4 1/2 without the Paddle that's when we need low crowds.
