*** The Official 2014 - DLR -July Thread ***(We All Have Been There & Back Home)

I cant contain my excitement much longer 20 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:welcome: Dis Family - Never to late to join our group... Would you be so kind to share the dates and Resort/Hotel with us when you get your agenda finalized.

Bob

Thanks for the warm welcome! :yay: Our dates are July 13th-17th. We are military so we took advantage of the military salute 3 day 2 park hoppers. We are flying from Kansas City, MO to the John Wayne Airport. We are staying at the Radisson Suites Hotel Buena Park ( I hope they are good. Tripadvisor has mixed reviews, but it fit our budget best :scared1:). I am still finalizing what we are doing on which day and hope to fit in a visit to Universal Studios as well. I will update when I have that finalized. I have been reading through the Disneyland threads for tips and tricks and I am always open to more if anyone has anything to offer.:listen:

First, I would like to personally thank you and your family for Serving & Protecting our country.

People from all over the world know & appreciate the family time, separation and courage you and your family have sacrificed and learned to deal with. --- :grouphug:

I would say any hotel at or around Disney will be a ok... No matter where you stay on or off site... Family time at Disney is where it is.... Once again, we welcome you and I will update you information on the front page...

Happy Planning....:goodvibes Disneyland --- here we come!!! :yay:

The kids and I are getting to work on the pre-trip Disneyland books that we've gotten into making! We make lists of things we want to do, find pics of food we want to eat, etc. and print them out and put them into individual cardboard binders. And then, of course, decorate them with Disney stickers. Lots of stickers. (Yeah, I'm about five years old at heart.) :yay:

Some helpful info for the end of July-ers:

Sun rise is almost exactly 6 am
Sun down is almost exactly 8 pm
YMMV :)

I also have tidal info for the first weekend of August for Laguna Beach if anyone is interested.
We plan to do some tidal poolin' !

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tide_pool

It's a fun activity to do, especially if you have kids. However, you have to hit the area when the tide is lower, really best if it is a negative tide.

You can see all sorts of sea life.

Thanks, is the tide low at certain times of the day or is it certain seasons....or how do I know if it is a good time for us to go? Our beach day is going to be July 30th :confused3
