I'm not sure what a GP discount is? When booking direct with Disney (no savings to be made with 3rd parties for Disney hotels) we automatically get directed to the UK site so we book in UK-Sterling, we don't get those fancy discounts ye get on US site

For my dates next yr - I know, I know get through this years first but I always like to keep 2 steps ahead -CB/CS/POR/FQ are approx £2200 ($3600ish) for 14 nts and AK is £3600 ($6000). In another couple of months for those same prices we should get free dining on offer. Hold out longer room rates will be cheaper but no free dining. AK would have more of a discount than the others but still a big difference in total price. The free dining is a better offer to us because it saves us more. Yes, flights are a killer

We are making the trip to Disneyland on July 26-Aug. 1. We have the whole family coming along! Mom and Dad, 3 adult sons and their wives as well as 2 grandsons age 3 yrs and 9 mos. We are staying at the Grand Californian. Can't wait!

Glad we have a family with DLR July experience... I will surely ask questions to help educate our family.. Had to edit my response and ask Deals?? Please let us about the deals in the past.. WOW!!! if there is a summer deal for DLR.. maybe we could stay at one of their Resort Hotels.

Sorry, I was talking about the deals that used to happen before Cars Land, usually a 20-30% off deal. In 2012 there weren't any deal because the parks were so busy! Finally last year there was some deals going on occasionally. I'm an AP so when we went in December there was an AP deal. Just hoping for any kids of discount since the on site hotels have gotten SO pricey lately. I've also been on the lookout for CheapTickets deals on hotel. So far the dates only go into June....

That would be great.. Our group consists of DD - Midori 14. DD's BF Lucy 14, Kathleen Lucy's Mom and Myself Bob. Midori and Lucy have been BF's since kinder and will be going to High School together...

I really enjoy Dis-Meets.. Arranged one last year and it was super fun. Got to meet 9 families all together..

I booked 7 Nights Hilton Anaheim and 5 day base tickets for 1800.00.

We all will be on the look out for deals.... right?

Oh - I forgot a Mustang Convertible for one day 75.00.. The girls want to go to Hollywood for a day...

Still working on Flights...and of course my Boss is having a fit about me going on Vacation as always...

Boss is a bit cranky at times, well maybe 99.9% of the times... been working for him ... let me see... about 26, 27 years now....He will put me on call during our vacation as he has done FOR THE PAST 15 Years...

Slumber Party Last Night..... The girls in the photos are Midori's BF's from School..

They play Volleyball and Basketball together. Been together since kinder.

Looks like they're having a blast! My daughter went to a sleep over Friday where they did cosplay. I would have loved cosplay as a teen, but I'm an army brat and was overseas at the time and they probably didn't have cosplay in the 80s anyways

Fort Worth is so pretty; did a couple of museum conferences there and Dallas in the 90s.

We're coastalbillies, south of Houston. If you ever want to see NASA you should drop by and say howdy.

The girls will do anything to plan a slumber party and it usually happens at our house... Don't mind at all..

Houston.. Played golf at the Woodlands a few times, flown through Houston by never stopped to site see and take in the History of Houston.. Need to some day..

I get 4 weeks vacation a year but my boss will only let me take one week and I am forced against my will to cash in the rest. So Disney is our one and only vacation we take annually.

DD and I are used to it so we play hard during that week.

I booked our condo today! I'm a hotel snob and with it being my parents, my 4 young nephews, and I, the condo was less expensive than the nicer suites (when factoring all the extras like parking, wi fi, laundry etc). Our dates are July 24-August 1. We have 4 day hoppers, but I'm still not sure which days we will go to the parks. It's starting to feel very real now! My planning was put on hold last week when my mom suffered a mild stroke. Fortunately she is recovering nicely and has been given a good prognosis. Looking forward to this trip with the grand kids helps keep her spirits up.
