Hey guys, this is my first post here, and was drawn here because of this thread! It will be my fifth time to WDW this September, and my boyfriend's first time. However, I have never done MNSSHP party before, and I'm so excited! We are going on Oct 1st, and will be dressed as a dead Hansel and Gretel (gotta love matching costumes!).

Just wanted to say thanks for all the tips etc, it really helps to have some prior knowledge before just barreling in there!

Thank You SO much for posting those pictures !! I love tootsie rolls, 100 grand,snickers, nestle crunch,I LOVE chicko-sticks (since I was a kid), I love rasins (if covered with chocolate ) -- I will eat starburst when there is no chocolate !!

My DS will love those little boxes with the cars characters if they still have those !!

How did you manage to get so much chocolate? I have been to two parties and each time only got a few candy bars. Last year we didn't even get any licorice.

No clue!! We went end of September last year, it was still very very hot so I wrongly assumed there wouldn't be any chocolate! We stopped at almost all of the treat stops. The best was the path w/ Alice & the Mad Hatter. One CM there toward the end of the night scooped up an armload & gave it to DD. What you see in the pics is pretty much a representation of what was in every barrel. Hoping for similar this year!!!! I was glad I brought bigger Halloween bags than what they gave! I hung one on the back of the stroller & kept emptying DD's small bag into it.

My mom went several years ago & got NO chocolate whatsoever! It was her & a few friends, and she said they were very stingy giving candy to the adults, so she was pretty disappointed...then my sister & her DH went the following year on their honeymoon & made out like bandits! I think they might have even gotten more chocolate than we did (but they were wearing their bride & groom ears!) Guess what they give out changes depending on what candy Disney can get? I don't know...and I guess we won't know this year til it starts! Can't wait for the reports to start rolling in!!

I'm at a complete loss when it comes to costume ideas. We're going on the first night of MNSSHP ... what percentage do you think will be in costume? It will be DH and me and his parents. They're not real "kid-like" and can't see them dressing in full costume, but I thought maybe there was something simple and cool the four of us could do. Ideas?

I made my niece and I Halloween dresses. They should be cool enough.

The first MNSSHP the older niece wore a Snow White dress, she was too hot and itchy. So last year I made us Halloween dresses.

This year I got some Disney Halloween fabric so the younger niece and I will have matching dresses.

We are going on the first night too! Since we are going to WWOHP during our trip we made capes/robes and will buy a wand at Harry's Place. It was simple and we will be dressed up without dying from heat.

I'm not really a costume person-- and I would die in the heat while wearing one-- so I figure we'll just buy DH and I a Disney Halloween T-shirt once we're on property and wear that to MNSSHP...

We will be at the first and second party of the year. Tuesday my ds4 will be going as Buzz lightyear wearing his buzz pj that look like his space suit along with some buzz wings that make sounds. Dad will be wearing a buzz shirt and me(mom) will be wearing a tennis dress that sort of looks like a cheerleading outfit, so I will be Buzz's chearleading holloring "Go Buzz, Go Buzz"

Second Night we are all going as pirates and doing the pirates league. I have a light weight white shirt and pirate like shirt, dh and ds both have piratate t shirts that I found at WM last year for $5. The print on them is made to look like a pirate outfit. Pretty cool in both forms of the word

Oh, and DH has a black t-shirt that says "COSTUME" on it. Ha. He has to take it along.

Many thanks! I had a friend do the Minnie applique, then I made the set. It was a skirt and top. I really wish they sold more holiday stuff, but I'm sure they are just too worried about leftover stock after the holiday!
