The Odyssey,Wonders Of Life....Innoventions West?

where did they find this out? what is gonna happen to the meet and greet for visa card memebers??

I just read that Innoventions West in EPCOT is closing April 30. Has anyone else anything on this? I wonder if they will bring it back with new things or use it for something else now. Thoughts?

Aw, I'll be there in May, so will just miss it if it closes on Apr 30.

So...what will I be missing out on? What are the best parts of Innovations West?

"The Innoventions West attraction at Epcot will be undergoing changes this spring, Walt Disney World has confirmed.

"We've reached the end of our sponsorship agreements with the exhibitors in Innoventions West and will temporarily close the space in early May to begin preparing for a new experience," a Disney spokeswoman said Friday.

All three of the current tenants will leaving and will be replaced, she said. A number of exhibits have rotated through the park's Innoventions buildings over the years.
Exhibits set to exit now include Think, presented by IBM, The Great Piggy Bank Adventure, presented by T. Rowe Price, and Where's the Fire?, presented by Liberty Mutual Insurance."

No word on how long it will be closed, but I'm not happy about the GPBA closing!

Since the Disney Visa pictures seem so popular I would not be surprised to see them relocated somewhere else. It may take a while though

i hope they don't close it early.
i'm going to epcot on april 14th and plan to do the disney visa character meet n greet which is located in innoventions west. (i'm sure they'll just relocate it but i don't know where so i'd have to find out)

but i'm glad they're going to re-imagine it.
i found the activities in there to be boring as compared to the old days of the hot, cold, and room temp poles and the stationary bikes that when you peddle you could look at the screen and it would look like you were biking outside.

I wonder if this will affect the Disney Visa pictures?

We'll be at EPCOT on Monday 5/4 and are Disney Visa cardholders. I hope that this closure doesn't affect the meet & greet, which my son quite enjoyed on our last trip (met Mickey, Goofy and Minnie). We'll only be at EPCOT that one day and aren't planning to do much in Future World (my son is afraid of heights and we're not sure Test Track is for him) beyond the Seas pavilion and Spaceship Earth. Our main plan is for him to see what he can in the World Showcase.

Oh no! Not the Great Piggy Bank Adventure!!! It's DS's favorite. Oh well. Glad we'll be there in mid-April. We will play and say goodbye then :(

My husband and I always joke about doing Where's the Fire. We did it one whole time. We, along with a friend of ours, were all on one team and we went up against these two girls in their early teens. We got out butts kicked. We didn't work well as a team. Each of us would see our own fire hazard but couldn't get the other two to hit it with their flashlights at the same time. It was a disaster. But, anytime we pass by, we talk about that experience and laugh about it.

I hope they bring in some fun new things. Innoventions has needed some help for a while. And please, for the love of aliens, don't let them do to it what they did to Wonders of Life or The Odyssey.

The tenants mentioned in the article are all located in the northern half of the building, so it's quite possible that the character M&G will not be affected at all.

GPBA was fun - I would have enjoyed playing the games more, as they were just challenging enough to be fun for a grown-up.

Wasn't there some rumors that Baymax and Hiro might be moved to Innoventions and get a more permanent home?

I hadn't heard that, but I like it! They're a good fit with Future World.
