We may be sports rivalry towns and cities but I bet we each have knowledge about our region that the residents of the other region would appreciate. So post interesting things pertaining to your area and ask questions about the other's. Specifically tourism and similar things will be the main discussion of the thread but I believe we can also discuss the stereotypes assumed about NYers/Hudson Vallians and Bostonians/Massachusettsans and how they are not true or misinterpreted. There are no official or correct terms. I'm fine with "Bay Staters" or "people from Massachusetts". There's another slang term that could be endearing or insulting depending on whose mouth it came from.

I know the term you are referring too. I thought Bay Staters and Massachusettsans were official state terms.

The USGPO may use Massachusettsan, however the General Law for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts states that the official designation of citizens of the Commonwealth is Bay Staters.
