The Not So Fab Four on the Disney Fantasy...Complete

Wednesday August 17th....Welcome to St. Thomas



We had pre-ordered breakfast from room service to arrive between 7:00-7:30 and sure enough there was a knock on the door at 6:59am. After breakfast we got ready for our excursion. We were to meet in the Walt Disney theater at 8:15am. Everything was organized in super Disney style and before we knew it, we were on our way. We did the (ST46) Caribbean Sea Safari Snorkeling & Beach Tour. We had an AMAZING time and cannot recommend this excursion enough! We took a catamaran ride to Buck Island.






While boating to the island drinks were served - water and sodas were available as well as a rum punch for the adults. I declined the drink while my hubby did not. He told me the drinks were pretty strong, yet very yummy. After a few of these, my hubby was Happy, Happy, Happy!! I might just have to use this to my advantage...more on that later. Once we got to Buck Island, we snorkeled with turtles, tropical fish, sting rays and we even saw a barracuda! We were here about 45 minutes and then we all boarded the catamaran and headed to Honeymoon Beach on Water Island...I seriously could have stayed here all day! We LOVED this beach...our time here went by WAY too fast!

We were at Honeymoon Beach for about an hour. There was food available and beverages as well. My happy hubby decided to have one more at this amazing beach...

The girls were happy too....absolutely loving the beach.






Before we knew it, they blew the horn letting us know our time was up. Seriously.....everybody on the excursion BOO'D! None of us wanted to leave this little piece of heaven on earth. We all boarded the catamaran and headed back to the port.



We left a little piece of our heart on this island. Hoping to definitely return one day.

We arrived back at the pier about 12:30pm and decided to take the sky ride to Paradise Point. The cost for this was $21 for adults and $10.50 for kids 6-12 years old.


This was fun for the kids and great for getting pictures of the ship and St. Thomas.


We decided to have lunch at the top of the sky ride. We love Mexican food so we really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. The girls also got a few bracelets as souvenirs for themselves and their friends back home. After lunch we headed back to the Fantasy. We had the Best day in St. Thomas and would definitely love to return some day.

Once back on our beloved Fantasy, we spent a little time at the pool before getting showered and ready for dinner at Animator's Palate.


Tonight we got to draw and see our characters come to life. We were excited that all four of our drawings were used in the show...it was so fun to see! After dinner, Austyn went to the Edge because they were going to have private time on the Aqua Duck - so fun that they do that for the tweens and teenagers!


Jim, Camryn and I went to see the family version of Buckets & Boards. It was a fun show but not as great as the Disney shows, in my opinion. After the show, Camryn decided to go to the kids club with her friends. Jim was still in a HAPPY mood after our great day and as you know, timing is everything. I said to him "Do you think we should stop by the future cruise desk?" He said "sure!" YIPEE!!!!!!!!!! I didn't waste one second and before I knew it, we had booked a placeholder.
We probably won't go until 2018 but that's ok....I still have something special to look forward too - even if it is 2 years away!
Jim and I then went to 80's music trivia in the Tube - I can't even explain how much fun the adults were having!! I definitely want to go to this again and I would recommend it to all of you as well. We went and got the girls, ate our milk and cookies and drifted off to a great nights sleep.

just found this report and got all caught up. We are cruising the eastern in June 2017. We were in that same back room in Royal in June 2015 and loved every minute of it! We were seated by the windows and to see that beautiful scenery with less commotion in that back room was just magical!

Hi. My understanding is that yes, there are always turtles. There weren't tons of them but we definitely saw 5-10 of them in the area we were at. The area was so gorgeous - I definitely recommend it!

Thanks so much! OMGosh......I am SO excited for you!! You are going to have SO much fun! I would say it's just like being on any other boat - a little bumpy because of the speed of the boat but very enjoyable and fun at the same time. The beach at Honeymoon beach is pretty shallow - we didn't have to swim, we were able to walk through the water to the beach. Where the boat docks is pretty rocky so once you get to the sand move over to the far right of the boat and the sand is super soft. I hope you love this little piece of paradise as much as we did. Thursday August 18, 2016......Sea Days are the Best Days!





Poor Camryn is now coughing her lungs up and my throat is on fire. It's not going to ruin my vacation...NO way Jose!
The good news is that Jim and Austyn seem to be feeling a little better...let's hope it lasts.

It was so nice to sleep in until 9:00am this morning. I did my 10 laps on deck 4 and returned to the room about 10:15am. Jim was already at the pool and the girls were slowly moving to head up there. While they were getting ready, I snapped this picture from our verandah.



As you can see, it is another beautiful day. We made our way to the pool and had an early lunch. The girls both had appointments at 12:30pm to get their hair braided. The braids are $2 per braid and a little more if you want beads. Camryn got beads on our last cruise and wasn't able to sleep with them. With that in mind, they both knew they didn't want the beads this time. The braids looked great and we kept them in for about 10 days. While they were getting their hair done it rained but only for about 5 minutes - just long enough to clear the crowds from the pool area. The girls swam for about another hour and then decided that they wanted to do the Mid Ship Detective Agency with their friends. While they did that, Jim and I did more laundry and started packing - BOO!

We all showered and got ready for Semi-Formal night at Enchanted Garden. Dinner was yummy and there were lots of magic tricks between us, our servers and the table mates next to us.....this was such a fun dinner!!







After dinner, we went to change into our comfy clothes but not before I got a picture of our favorite fairy godmother Novlette with the girls.

I sure do miss her!!

We then went to see "Believe" in the Walt Disney showroom. I forgot what and Amazing show this is - a definite MUST see!! After the show the girls did more MSDA with their friends while Jim and I went to see the adult version of Buckets N Boards. We also stayed for a little bit of team trivia. Both of these events were in "The Tube" and both were a lot of fun! We stopped by Shutters to view our pictures and then met the girls in the room. Jim and I packed a little more while the girls ate their cookies and milk. And just like that it's already midnight....time to stop journaling and dream about Castaway Cay!
