The No-Way-I'm-Going-Solo-This-Time Solo Trip, a Sept PTR *Home & TR Link 9/15 x2*

Caught up and following along, even though I suppose you're probably done since your trip is so soon! I'll be reading your TR for sure.

I have a tip for your snacking around the world plan at Epcot. We tried to do the same thing on our last trip. I made it further than my DH, but I still couldn't do every country. Anyway, my tip is that the tabouli in Morocco is very small and light and definitely a good non-filling option for snacking around the world. I also counted a glass of prosecco as my Italy "snack". Do NOT get eggrolls in China. Very filling!!

Have a great trip!

Glad you joined in! I am almost done, but have a couple updates still.

I appreciate the advice for snacking around the world! I did plan on at least 1 drink being my snack, to help reduce getting full too fast.

This time next week we will be at WDW getting ready to start our first full day!!!

Yup yup! I will actually be starting my KTTK tour right at this moment. :goodvibes

DAY 8, SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 14TH

I have a 2:50pm flight, so I'm guessing DME will pick me up around 11:30am-ish. So, no parks this day. I'll probably just stay at CBR and explore more, maybe do some activities there. If I go anywhere it would be DTD or mini-golf if I didn't get them done already.

My flight leaves MCO at 2:50pm and I'll land at BWI at 4:55pm. I was hoping for a little later flight but at least I will have time to recover a bit that evening, unpacking, uploading pictures, start on Photopass, etc.

I will be back very soon, probably tomorrow, just to do a quick recap on all of my plans for the week. :cool1:

It will be here before you know it now!

I like the fact that you have a kind of early flight home. It is always nice to maximize the last bit of Disney time, but some recovery time back at home is always a great thing.

At least you'll have a bit of time to do some more Disney "stuff" before you have to board Magical Express. Everybody to squeeze in a little more Disney before you leave.

4 days!!

Recovery time is good, especially since I'll be to working the next day.

Exactly. I'll have a couple of hours at least, so I can do anything I still need to do. :goodvibes

TRIP PLAN RECAP:

I thought I would do a quick recap of my plans for each day while I still have time. I can't believe it's only 4 days until I leave! Heck, in 4 days right now I will be on the plane flying down  :cool1: :dance3:

Saturday the 7th: Land at MCO at 3pm. I'm hoping to get to CBR via DME by 4:30pm. Check-in, get settled then I will walk the resort for a while. Eat dinner at OPR and take lots of pictures. :thumbsup2 Maybe swim, maybe the movie (which is Tangled according to the schedule I saw), then sleep!!

Sunday the 8th: Keys to the Kingdom tour at 8:30am. After the tour I will stay in MK for as long as I want, with the park being open until midnight with EMH. I'm looking forward to the special Halloween edition of the Castle show that started on September 1st. I've seen shots of it and the new scenes are great!

Monday the 9th
: Magic Kingdom all day! Breakfast ADR at 8:50am at Crystal Palace, Dinner ADR at Be Our Guest. The park is open until midnight and I will probably stay until closing.

Tuesday the 10th: Epcot day! Morning EMH with a lunch ADR at Coral Reef Restaurant, Behind the Seeds tour at 1:30pm and dinner ADR at Via Napoli. Unless something happens I will stay until closing at 9pm.

Wednesday the 11th: Full Animal Kingdom day, then DTD once they close. Dinner ADR at House of Blues. If I have time I will head to the Poly after to watch Wishes and the Light Parade from the beach. If not then I will hang out at DTD for a bit.

Thursday the 12th: DHS all day. Lunch Fantasmic package at Mama Melrose and Dinner ADR at Sci-Fi. Fantasmic at 8:30pm, then back to the resort for the night.

Friday the 13th: Doing whatever I feel like in the morning, then heading to AK for lunch, then a 1pm Backstage Safari tour. After the tour I have a dinner ADR at the AK Rainforest Cafe. I will head to MK after dinner for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party until midnight.

Saturday the 14th: Departure Day :( I will spend the morning doing whatever I still need to do, then DME back to MCO and heading home.

Of course, these plans are subject to change at any moment, as usually happens to some degree with my vacations. :lmao: Especially since Steve still doesn't know if he will join me at some point or not, and probably won't know until the day before if he can at all. But I'll have a great trip irregardless. :goodvibes

Thanks for following along everyone! I may get back to post something else before I leave, but I'm not sure if I'll get to anything but replies. I will definitely be doing a TR, so I'll post the link here once I do!

Just a quick :cheer2: update:

I think the vacation gods are smiling on me this trip! When I looked at the extended forecast earlier this week there was a large chance of storms every single day of my trip minus one. I know it rains a lot in Florida, that doesn't bother me, but storms every day would not have been fun. Well, I just checked again and it's now sunny every day, except my departure day (which is fine). There is a slight chance of scattered storms on Sunday, but it was only 20% I think so I'll take that! So happy that I should have great weather my whole trip. :beach::dance3:

Oh, and 3 days!!!

Doing the 3 day no rain dance with ya! Mine looks a little something like this though since I have no rhythm :lmao:

That's great news about the forecast. I mean, yeah, it is late summer in Florida so I'm sure you might see a pop up here or there, but the fact that they cleared it out of the forecast is definitely a good sign! :thumbsup2

I hope the forecast holds! I've had such great luck my last four trips (combined total of maybe an hour of rain) that I'm starting to wonder about these rumors of lots of rain in Florida. :confused3 :rotfl:

Of course now that I said that, I'll probably pay for it in October with torrential downpours every day!

Exactly! I expect pop-up showers in Florida in the summer, but a 60-80% chance of thunderstorms every day would have been less magical. pixiedust:

I hope so too! I've also been lucky my last 3 trips with almost no rain, though I do remember lots of rain during my trips as a kid, which were always in August.

Fingers crossed you didn't jinx yourself and that your trip next month is dry!
